      I don't like the smarmy ass type characters either. My favurite spirit is still Rider from Fate/Zero though. Alexander too good.

      I really enjoyed the one mentioned in the latter. Having read the whole thing I can safely say it's a great lesson in humility and knowing one's own limits while still pushing them harshly.
