  1. Look, Hondo. I know you like to socialize and be able to talk to everyone that you can talk to but there is just a limit to being you. If you really wanted everyone's opinions on something you would ask it in the Reborn chat. If you wanted to look back on it, PO has chat logs for everything. There is just a limit between wanting to know what people like and pestering them to living death. How'd it feel if you were touched or poked every single day about subjects that you don't care about? Annoyed right? I'm just saying that there is a better way to handle this than to post many threads of opinionated subjects. Please bear with us and give us a break in the Reborn Forums. Most of us need it. Except Kaito because screw 6AM classes.
  2. Well, while we are quoting Jwittz, here is my nominated razzy for most hated pokemon. THIS NIGGA I have had a very bad track record with this pokemon. It was the first shiny that I saw and got away from 5 Ultra Balls. I always hated the little cave that all the Whismur came out of too. When I played the game as a child I was slightly daunted and scared of the caves carrying Whismur. Worst of all, this pokemon is common in the grass patches throughout the whole damn way through Hoenn. I would put Loudred or Exploud onto here out of spite but those two have cool designs and Exploud has Boomburst. Honestly you can't put a hated pokemon with a move that sounds like you're purely stylin' with that gangster boomburst goin' on. And the runner up for most hated pokemon is... Fuck yo Sleep Powder. Personally, I never really liked Gloom to begin with. In Kanto whenever I leveled up, Gloom was always a pokemon that I hated to rank up on. Gloom had decent defenses, had an annoying moveset with Sleeping Powder, and insured that I had to rush back to the pokemon center over and over to level up. It took me a good half hour to an hour to get my Pidgeotto to OHKO with Wing Attack when this thing popped up. Also the design on this pokemon isn't too pretty either. Sleeping on the job is never a good look to pull off and Gloom doesn't help one bit. Gloom is just a rotter. A nasty wasty naus that should have never been created.
  3. >>; I already know that this team is horribly outdated a bit. I just use this team a lot because I have a lot of fun with it and actually winning with it. I already am aware of the weaknesses I have against Special Mega-Luca and even Mega-Gengar but I save that towards Showdown. PO is more of a testing grounds for shtuff. Thanks for the suggestions though, keep 'em coming. I want to see what you guys think I need. owo
  4. Introduction~ Welp, i'm late to the party. This has been a very common set that I've been using on most of my ventures into OU thus far. This team has been built a long time ago but I never choose to RMT it. After awhile I thought that this might be a good template to show off the sheer force and power of slowing down people's game and proving to everyone that Breloom is beyond awesome in this generation. Let's get on the road! Background Teambuilding~ Naturally this set came from a very good friend of mine, Renzo. One day he though that Rock Tomb Breloom would be the absolute best idea he came up with. Naturally I decided to use this idea and I've built up a team before that used Breloom, Florges, and a few others and had some decent success with it. Overtime some of the top ladderers got smarter and built better Hyper Offensive teams to ruin my game so the idea was scrapped. Later on Summer helped me on with making a this set but instead of using Breloom as just a pivot he suggested a build that can help around Charizard-X. Naturally I made some modifications on my own but this is the final product. I have to say, I love this team. Teambulding~ Pokémon In Depth~ Apache (Breloom) (F) @ Focus Sash Trait: Technician EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Mach Punch - Rock Tomb - Spore - Bullet Seed Primary lead of the team is Breloom with Focus Sash. Breloom is one of the most underrated leads in that most Rotom-W sets run Chesto Resto. Also with Greninja and Genesect not too far behind Breloom is a very reliable pokemon that can use Bullet Seed to score some clean KO's and to widdle down on the Hazard Leads like the Deoxys Brothers [D and S]. Rock Tomb is a very useful Coverage move that can surprise people and score some easy OHKO's against Volcarona, Charizard-Y. and etc. Pringles (Jellicent) (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Water Absorb EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Will-O-Wisp - Recover - Taunt - Surf A very good Defensive wall against some very common Physical Megas like Khan or Lucario, Jellicent can effectively stop a sweep from both of the Physical Sets and cause more chipping damage to the enemy team. Jellicent also can act as a decent Spinblocker if Landorus-T choose to go for Stealth Rocks and also has decent synergy with it. Lynx (Landorus-T) (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Intimidate EVs: 248 HP / 172 Def / 88 Spd Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef) - Earthquake - Knock Off - U-turn - Stealth Rock / Stone Edge Landorus-T forms a job to get be an amazing Pivot and to murder stall teams using lefties or chip off Toxic Orbs. A very useful pokemon when I get the upper hand and do all the right moves. I alternate between Stealth Rocks and Stone Edge based on my performance and what I need at the moment. The set is obscure because i'm not running Stone Edge and Earthquake all the time because I figure, why have Stone Edge when I already have a pokemon that has Rock Coverage down? That's the cat for me people. Retaliation (Scizor) (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Technician EVs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Bullet Punch - Defog - Roost - U-turn The prime Defogger of the crew. Scizor takin' up Physical hits and eating them from breakfast. He also can reliable force switches against common Clerics like Blissey, Florges, or Sylveon. Couple with momentum that fits with Landorus-T, good synergy and power; what can you go wrong with a bug like Scizor? Fleetwood (Florges) (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Flower Veil EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Moonblast - Aromatherapy - Wish - Protect You've seen this flower everywhere so i'm not going into too much depth. This is basically my answer towards Dark-Type staller likes Mandibuzz and my answer to a pokemon that provides Wishes and Status healing. Not much to say here so off the best and last pokemon of the crew. "RAAAAAWWWWWRRRRR!" Damnation (Charizard) (F) @ Charizardite X Trait: Blaze EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Dragon Dance - Flare Blitz - Dragon Claw - Earthquake The main king and champion of the whole team, Charizard-X spews awesome. Charizard-X is one of the great Physical Attack with Tough Claws, being able to sweep through whole teams at +2 or even +1. It's typing allows me to suck up Will-O-Wisps aimed at Scizor and it's typing let's make sit in on Rotom-W all day. I've swept through many teams with this set and it is personally one of my favorite sweepers to use. Conclusion~ This is one of my favorite teams I have used right after The Sand Dunes. I always loved Mega Charizard-X's design and being able to use it in battle to sweep over my opponents is a very awesome feeling. I'd recommend this set to get a general idea as to what you want to do for your Setup Sweeper teams. You must be able to support your sweeper fully and be able to sacrifice to ensure safe switch ins or to throw away Hazards. Extras~ Fun Facts: -This took a decent 1 & a half hour to make the RMT -I was ranked #7 on my peak of using this team -Sylveon is a replacement towards Florges in Showdown but PO hasn't updated Pixilate yet -I'd like to think i'm an evil genius for using Breloom as a Lead -Renzo and Summer are fgts. No illy, luv u guys. <3 -This is my favorite teambuild I made -Cothugrigus was here -I made this and it's currently 3 in the morning so i'm going to bed. Bai. c: Skeleton:
  5. I'm really tempted to stay like this forever. I mean...Moo~

  6. No problem. Sorry if I was a bit crude with my response. ^^; Hope you can make the tiers the best you can~ Also the information for the US release is a bit farce @Secundum. I actually rechecked and the release is yet to be shown so I wrote off as the site I saw it from was fake. Sorry. But the part of Japan and the other countries from what I've seen seems to be true. NOW, Let's not derail this any further and continue on with this general discussion. The talk of Poke Bank and everything to do with PokeBank is over~
  7. Uhm. >>; The bank IS live. In fact it's been out for quite some time how. Even before the delay some few people got ahold of the Japanese version of it and most if not all the egg moves were already leaked out via Serebii, Smogon, and Bulbapedia. The US release is yet to be released as I recently checked over and the site was fake. However other countries in the world have fixed copies of Poke Bank intact like Japan.
  8. Each threat in OU has it's own set of Checks and Counters. Some however may remain questionable like Mega Gengar or commonly known as That Purple Bastard that keeps destorying teams. >>; will most likely be judged upon the high mod staff of Reborn and will be opted to be suspect tested. In other words, there are ones that are probably going to be banned but if you can't quite win against a pokemon either you did a bad play or there is something wrong with your team chemistry.
  9. Happy Birthday Sir Flash! :DDDD

  10. Welp everyone. For those who are fans of SAO I have good news. They are making Sword Art Online II. http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=716437

It has a CoD style to it. I like it.

  11. Alright back. To be honest that's a bit embarrassing that I quick scanned the subject. >>; But my point on the other pokemon even though they are not relevant to the topic still stands! Now onto my argument towards the Megas. Mega Gengar Mega Gengar is broken due to a plethora of issues. First off it's ability Shadow Tag is quite frankly the best in the game. No pokemon can safely stay in on a Mega-Gengar due to it's amazing Special Attack and it's unpredictable coverage moves. It's more broken than Chandelure ST in that respect. It's not to say that this pokemon is unbeatable, it's what it does in battle is amazing. Mega Gengar's main purpose as a Mega is to kill off pokemon that threaten set-up sweepers or regular sweepers while doing as much damage as possible. Mega Gengar is the only mega that can fill this role and honestly makes Magnet Pull Magnezone, Arena Trap Dugtrio, and Gothitelle obsolete. He isn't a god however, there are a few checks and counters towards Mega Gengar. Malamar is a popular choice due to it's unique Dark/Psychic typing that renders most of Mega Gengar's moves less effective. Jolteon is another solid option as it is the only other non-mega that matches up with Mega Gengar's blazing 130 Base Speed. Mega Scizor is another solid option as a Bullet Punch can easily revenge kill on Mega Gengar [Provided damage has already been done]. While this all sounds nice, Mega Gengar has coverage, speed, and Special Attack all at it's side to counter each aforementioned counter and check I described. Scizor, Scizor or Mega Scizor cannot OHKO it anymore with CB Bullet Punch or Uninvested Mega Pullet Punch, and worse, might be effected by Will-O-Wisp. Malamar, Mega Gengar has Dazzling Gleam, one of Malamar's main kryptonite. Jolteon, It's a 50/50 shot really. Risk outspeeding and not doing enough damage or Being outspeed and OHKO immediately by Shadow Ball. Simply put Mega Gengar is a nuisance that is basically a worse clone than ST Chandelure. It has everything that ST Chandelure wishes it had. Better bulk, better Special Attack, Better Speed, and not being locked into a move just to outspeed pokemon. It's very simple, this thing needs to be gone immediately. Mega Khan's tomorrow~
  12. Seeing as Ame has put away the subject for Gen 6 changes and seeing as some people have access to the Poke Bank i'm going to assume that the staff of reborn is about ready to handle suggestions. Let's get this rollin'. Mega Gengar I'm going to be very brief with Mega Gengar. It's an upgraded version of ST Chandelure. Give it a different sub typing, less fire moves, more coverage in other types, more Special Attack, speed, and defense so where CB Scizor doesn't OHKO. That's Mega Gengar people. Mega Kangaskhan Again brief. Everyone in the world hates this thing and it's mostly due to it's raw power with Parental Bond and it's movepool. Return/Sucker Punch/Power-Up Punch/Fire Punch is a nightmare combo that even Mega Gengar couldn't check. It's obvious what to do with this guy. Genesect This one is interesting. Despite not being banned this generation why do I say that Genesect should be banned now? Genesect is a pokemon that ruins balance for other leads. Why use Rotom-W or Greninja when you can have a lead that's only crippling weakness is to one type? Also add in the fact that you can get Download boosts, have one of the most unpredictable movepool, and have a decent 99 Base Speed to work with. Genesect is purely a virus that never got patched. It's annoying, the community hates it, and frankly it gives Conficker a bad rep. Deoxys-S Simple, there is no pokemon like Deoxys-S. Deoxys-S boasts one of the greatest movepools in the game and to be granted immediate access to hazards. A known fact to all is that the Deoxys brothers are the most reliable entry hazard setup pokemon in the tier. While Deoxys-D isn't doing so hot right now i'm going to say it's not bannable. Unlike -D, -S has stats that it can work around to surprise people. Remember, Deoxys-S has access to Extremespeed, Fire Punch, Ice Beam, Psycho Boost, and various other forms of coverage. While 95 to both Attack and Special Attack isn't going to break any records, it's not like anybody is going to expect you to use an offensive set with Deoxys-S. Deoxys-D isn't bannable because I do think it's balanced. Deoxys-S kills the point of ever using Deoxys-D or even Custap Berry users such as Skarmory or Forretress. Will post Part Two to Counters and Checks to each pokemon and explain further why these should be banned. Off to school~

How is Heatran more powerful? Did it get it's stats raised? Cause I noticed Magma Storm's power has been significantly decreased

    4. Cowtao

      Cowtao

Heatran got more popular because of the Metagame that is going on right now. Heatran is the only pokemon that can fully counter Genesect, 9 resistances, and more partners to gel their weaknesses with like Mandibuzz.

  19. So, the workout isn't so bad after all. Realizing I got 5 new games, a 150$ amp, and shiny new headphones. Oh, and a lot of Beatles/Led Zeppelin stuff. I'm not mad. >->
