  1. I think I speak for everyone in the group when I say, "OH SHIT."
  2. Lux grimaced as Ace referred to him as a "lady." That asshole really knows how to strike a nerve, he thought to himself as he walked into the office behind the others.
  3. Lux yawned and stretched his arms as he awoke. The previous day had been quite long, but a good night's rest had done wonders for the newly appointed leader. He got out of bed and changed back into his street clothes before noticing a memo. Newest members of the Organization I would ask that you meet me in my office after you've had something to eat. There is a kitchen near the back of the first floor. You may fix yourselves something there, or go about finding a meal in the city. Either way, meet as a group and come to my office, the furthest room on the second floor. My regards, Cedric Sterling Lux grinned lightly. Finally, their search for the Pillar might be getting underway. He'd at last be seeking out the answers he'd been longing for since the incident first occurred. The young man left his room and took the elevator to the first floor. He went to the kitchen in the back and rustled up a bowl of Froot Loops and milk. Before leaving the kitchen, he also made himself a cup of tea. He then proceeded to Cedric's office, where he found Beverly and Kenny outside the door. "Hey, you two lovebirds, cut the chatter. We have a meeting with Mr. Sterling now. And where's that speedster? For someone who can move faster than I can blink, he seems to have a horrible habit of turning up late."
  4. Dru sighed as he flung another wave of rocks at another wave of skeletons. The horde had begun to thin out, and Nero had decided to go face the Death Knight in order to draw him out. They need me more down there then they do up here, he realized. He turned to Jupiter. "Lady Jupiter, if you could hold the wall please?" With that, the half-Orc smiled and jumped off the wall. He fell roughly ten feet before an earthen pillar caught him and carried him out over the battlefield. "Terra pankratia," he shouted, spreading his arms wide. Two stones flew out of the ground and onto his hands, forming two fist-shaped gauntlets. Another two stones flattened against his chest and back, forming plates of stone armor. Finally, another stone flew onto his head, wrapping it in a full helm with a T-shaped slot cut in for his eyes, nose, and mouth to be seen. The newly armored sorcerer leapt from the stone pillar into a crowd of skeletons, falling to the earth like a rock from a catapult. As he landed he shouted, "Impeta dispersys!" The ground shook beneath him and a shockwave sent the skeletons nearest to him flying back into their comrades. The sorcerer attacked with renewed vigor, crushing the walking bones to dust with each swing of his mighty hands. He ducked as a skeleton swung a sword over his head, then turned and fired a punch into its midsection, completely severing its lower half as its spine crumbled. Another pair of skeletons rushed him, one with a claymore and one with a sword and shield. The first swung its huge sword at the half-Orc, who caught the blow on his gauntlets. He kicked out with his right leg, pushing the second foe back before headbutting the first to the ground and promptly putting a foot through its head. He then began to charge the second skeleton, which attempted to hide behind its shield. Dru ripped the shield away from the skeleton and put a fist through its ribcage before continuing on his way to his comrades.
  5. Before I post, I'd just like to know how embattled the walls are. Can Dru leave and go smash things?
  6. Roland approached Alleria and placed a hand upon her shoulder. "Do not worry, Alleria. We are all in this together. Should it come to that, which I can only hope it will not, we will either prevail or die as a group." The ranger then approached the blood of the beast as though he were approaching a cornered beast. It was dark and thick, and despite the scorching desert sun it had not yet begun to dry. Seemingly due to the heat, it gave off a foul odor that sent even a man who had had occasion to dine on rotten meat into a wretching fit. Roland backed away slowly, his mouth open in shock and disgust. "I now know what Gillem seeks to prevent. This... thing... It is wrong. It is evil in its very essence." The ranger then took a cloth bandanna from a pocket on his armor and wrapped his mouth and nose before edging close once more. He took a small amount on the tip of his knife, seeking to examine it more closely.
  7. I'd recommend Kyurem as our mascot, seeing as we're Mythic and it happens to be Dragon/Ice type. Also, in terms of teambuilding, here's what I've come up with: 1) Our defensive typing's pretty bad. The only really good defensive mons I can think of are more bulky offense. 2) With that being said, bulky offense works awesomely here. Mons like T-Tar, Dragonite, AV Kyurem-B, and all the Dragon Dancers and Shell Smashers are at our fingertips. 3) Try to limit the number of Ice mons on your team. It makes you Stealth Rock weak. 4) Lati@s are available for us to use. Both are excellent Defoggers.
  8. I know this RP is already slow as all hell, but I'll be away for the week. Flux, feel free to RP Roland for me during my absence. Just remember, no contractions!
  9. I nominate Dark Desire for leader.
  10. Dru watched the battle from the walls, still hurling pieces of earth at the skeletons that threatened to overwhelm the defenders. He glanced in the direction of the golem and saw that its head had been removed; however, the earth under it pulsated uneasily. As his comrades fled from the flesh-and-flame horror, he sorcerer realized what was about to occur. There's no way that thing is leaving any of our men or women alive if it's given the chance. The half-Orc stomped his feet, this time offering a loud command. "CARCERE OBSIDETENA TERRA!" he shouted, raising his hands to the sky. Suddenly, the earth around the nearly-finished golem rose up and inward, encasing the abomination in stone.
  11. Dru wiped his brow, admiring the field of scattered bones before him. Suddenly, he remembered the Infernal Golem and turned frantically in its direction. He shook his head as he realized that this was a fight even Orphaeus could not win alone. This is why we must fight together, he thought to himself. While his first instinct was to fling boulders at the abomination, he recalled that Orphaeus's sword seemed to have the effect of dampening magic. How can I help...? he pondered. The beast was clearly much heavier than the heroes' Victonari ally. Then, he began to formulate a plan. It only extends so far in any direction, he realized. He began to stomp his feet rhythmically, uttering a simple spell over and over. "Terra locoxe. Terra locoxe. Terra locoxe." He closed his eyes, feeling the earth slightly behind and far beneath Orphaeus's foe begin to move. It began to expand outward, leaving a large, empty pocket held in place only by the sorcerer's spell. He then jumped high in the air and stomped his feet on the ground. An audible rumble could be heard far beneath the ground as the earth beneath the Infernal Golem began to give way, hopefully just enough to hold it in place while the warriors landed their blows.
  12. Lux strode outside, taking in the last of the daylight. He felt re-energized, but his body could no longer keep up with the fatigue of the past week. No more running, he mused to himself as he watched the sun setting in the distance. He'd come so far from that fateful day when the suited man had come into his apartment. I used to just be a normal kid. Now I'm sitting at the right hand of potentially one of the most powerful men in the world. Funny how things change. Lux yawned and stretched. He was tired. He walked back into the building and got in the elevator, pressing the button to reach the third floor. Upon reaching it he walked down the hall until he located a room. 42... Perhaps I'll find all my answers in here, he thought to himself, chuckling as he opened the door and entered. He immediately stripped off his clothes save for his underwear and crawled into the bed, quickly falling asleep in the warm embrace of his blankets.
  13. Jory stood, his hands shaking on his rifle. He'd frozen up just as the attack commenced. All he'd been able to think about was what had happened to Erick and Surge's GAOs during the first battle he'd ever witnessed. Sampson... Neffi... I can't let that happen to them... he'd thought to himself as he stood still throughout the fight. Sampson had nudged him, but was unable to move his trainer until the bird went down. As Surge seemed to be celebrating, Jory hung his head in shame. If any of his squadmates had needed him, he would have failed them.
  14. Roland was the last to join the group at Nash's position. "I am of a similar opinion. Let us proceed." He then waited for Nash's signal to leave the wretched battlefield.
  15. I was under the impression that sorcerers learn through meditation and that their magic takes a more primal form in that the sorcerer communes with their thing.
  16. Drug'thok smiled as he saw Brass launching his first volley of rocks. I don't mean to turn this into a competition, but here goes nothing. He closed his eyes, feeling the rhythm of the earth underneath him. It was nearly indistinguishable from the cacophony of skeletal marching, but, like a pilgrim to his destination, managed to find it and hold it in his mind. He began to chant, his voice rising in volume as he continued the incantation: "Terra surgere. Sugere e surgere rursus. Terra frendoses, monolythos frendanen esos!" As the half-Orc chanted, a section of the battlefield that had been overrun by skeletons began to rise into the air. Bones shattered as they hit the ground from nearly four stories in the air, while other skeletons simply stayed on top of the floating monolith. "Terra locoxe!" he shouted, strain evident in his voice. The huge piece of earth, roughly fifteen meters in any direction from the center, flew back into the ranks of the skeletal army, crushing the opposition. Dru breathed heavily, wiping sweat from his brow. We're not done yet... he thought to himself as the sea of bones continued to push against the defenders.
  17. I might just have to make a Grass/Normal/Electric Scelioptile. But type redundancies D: EDIT: To be clear, this would likely replace my Heliolisk, so I'm not sure I'd want to do that...
  18. So, in theory, a Normal/Fighting Tough Claws Zangoose with Leaf Blade would be possible? EDIT: Inb4 Game Freak reveals Tough Claws Mega Zangoose
  19. Jory nodded, then crept off after Sid, Clint, and Nathan. He listened intently to the plan before speaking. "Sampson should be able to put some fire on this guy as well. Let's make it count." With that, Jory got into position near Sid and put his hand on the release button on the Ponyta's ball.
  20. "It seems we have chanced upon our memory restucturing..." he whispered. "I'd almost claim it to be fate, if I believed in such a thing." Lux nodded at Cedric's observation. Their discovery of the girl had proven quite serendipitous, and having a speedster like Ace on their task force could only serve to benefit their cause. He looked at Beverly and Kenny again. These three will do nicely, although I don't think the Organization would discriminate so heavily when we can use all the help we can get. "Beverly, you haven't the foggiest idea of how happy we are to make your acquaintance. We're going to be needing your help much sooner than you could have ever known." The young man then turned to his new boss. "I'd like to see what other resources we have available. I haven't exactly been given the grand tour of the place yet."
  21. Roland observed the scraeths' bodies as the group picked their way through the aftermath of the battle. This must have been a brutal fight indeed, he noted to himself. Suddenly, an idea occurred to the ranger. He strode over to the corpse of one of the grand scraeth. He began his work quickly, moving to the rear of the large animal and following its tail down to the stinger. He then drew his largest dagger and made a brutal chopping stroke on the end of the tail, just at the joint where stinger met limb. The cut was clean, and Roland grinned. He upended the singer, putting it with its pointy side in the sand before plunging the knife into the area he'd cut earlier. He then took a rag from his travel bag and wiped down the blade before sheathing it. He then reached into the cut and pulled. In his hand was the venom gland from the barb of the scraeth. "Take notes, Rhea," he called loudly. "Scraeth venom can be applied to arrows and daggers to yield a potent result." Roland gave a mock battle cry as he kicked over the used stinger, moving on to the grand scraeth's other barb and repeating the process.
  22. Drug'thok Grunara The sorcerer nodded approvingly at Orphaeus's words. A born leader, although he doesn't seem to care much for the burden, Dru thought to himself. He then turned his attention to the remainder of the group, who had started to move toward the inn. "I'm of a mind with Marcus and Odin. Let us join Orphaeus to talk about strategy. There is nothing here we should fear, especially knowing what else is out there." The half-Orc shuddered as he recalled the feeling of the sword cutting him down that day. That's not something I'd like to repeat. So I guess we have to win.
  23. Drug'thok- Wall Team "Perhaps, we should have a mediation session in my tent before the battle, to relax our bodies, and be one with the Earth." Dru reflected on the last battle he had participated in. His magic had been quite useless against The Gentleman, and it made him shudder to recall the dark aura of that monster. "Indeed we must, Brass. I must meditate on my last opponent. I fear that was not the last I'll ever see of him. I need to be wiser when I next face him." The half-Orc gazed seriously at the Victonari. "We have looked upon the face of evil, Brass." With that, the troubled sorcerer turned and walked wordlessly toward Brass's tent.
