I haven't played VGC in months but isn't it usually a good idea to have two megas so you can change them depending on the matchup? That being said, Bisharp really isn't tanky enough or exceptionally hard hitting, I'd recommend maybe changing him out for Mega-Kang. Although I haven't played VGC in a while and I have no clue what the meta is atm. Take this with a grain of salt lmao

I've toyed with AV Dragalge but it just lacks the str8 POWER that Specs Dragalge brings.

Introductions: Firstly, I'd like to introduce myself before my team. I am Jelly. I have been battling since the middle of the DPPt era. And this is my first RMT! I decided after Kabutops dropped into NU that I would try my hand at building a team with it. This team has helped me peak at top 50 on the Pokemon Showdown ladder. (I know, big deal right?) And as of right now, I'm not using it much. I've "retired" it in a sense. IMO this is a very solid team and deserves a rate or two :]. The Squad: | | | | | In-Depth: Walcott Seismitoad (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Water Absorb EVs: 216 HP / 200 Def / 92 Spe Bold Nature - Scald - Earth Power - Stealth Rock - Toxic Seismitoad is a very solid 'mon in the NU meta. It sets up Stealth Rocks and spreads burns and Toxics. It stops most water types and has the potential to shut down physical attackers. It can take basically any physical hit that isn't a +2 Leaf Blade from SD Sceptile. It beats every spinner in the tier except Cryogonal. It's great typing, stats, and utility makes it one of, if not the best tanks in the tier. Walcott, All the way to New Jersey All the way to the Garden State, Out of Cape Cod tonight... ___________________________ One Vileplume (F) @ Black Sludge Ability: Effect Spore EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe Bold Nature - Sludge Bomb - Giga Drain - Hidden Power [Fire] - Synthesis Vileplume is without a doubt, my favorite Pokemon in NU. This little plant dude will tank a bunch of physical hits and deal a surprising amount of damage. HP Fire is used instead of Aromatherapy here because Ferroseed can set up spikes and be a general nuisance against every member of my team. This thing switches into so much stuff and applies so much pressure to your opponent. I have loads of fun using this 'mon :]. Nastiness will cause your doom Turn and walk back to your room ___________________________ M79 Pawniard @ Eviolite Ability: Defiant EVs: 168 HP / 252 Atk / 88 Spe Adamant Nature - Knock Off - Sucker Punch - Iron Head - Swords Dance Pawniard is my main counter to Defog. I know many people say it's simply not that great unless you are running a hazard stacking team to pressure the opposing defog user, but that's just not the case. Pawn helps to keep up pressure against Sticky Web teams and has good matchups against Intimidate users like Granbull and Qwilfish. These speed EVs outspeed uninvested base 70s which is a pretty significant speed tier in NU. The HP EVs help it make Feraligatr, Swellow, Slurpuff, and Vileplume miss 2HKOs. Knock Off/Sucker Punch + Iron Head helps Pawniard achieve perfect neutral coverage which is extremely important on a pivot 'mon like Pawn. You walk up the stairs See the French kids by the door Up one more flight See the Buddha on the second floor ___________________________ Campus Dragalge (F) @ Choice Specs Ability: Poison Point EVs: 200 HP / 252 SpA / 56 Spe Modest Nature - Sludge Bomb - Draco Meteor - Scald - Focus Blast Nothing can compare to a Specs Dragalge Draco raining down hell on an opposing Pokemon. This thing hits like a truck. No. 100 trucks hitting something in unison. It utterly destroys teams and is a tanky motherfucker as well. With a solid defensive base of 65 / 90 / 123, it takes both physical and special attacks with ease. The speed EVs make Dragalge outspeed uninvested base 50s like Vileplume. Draco Meteor basically OHKOs anything less bulky than Gurdurr. Sludge Bomb is for those cheeky fuckos thinking they can just switch in a Slurpuff or Granbull to laugh at you. Scald is basically just for coverage and for the extra utility in the burn chance. Focus Blast is for Steelixes, Probopasses, and Pawniards who try to come in to resist both of Dragalge's main STABs. Then I see you You're walking cross the campus Cruel professor Studying romances How am I supposed to pretend I never want to see you again? ___________________________ Oxford Comma Liepard (M) @ Black Glasses Ability: Prankster EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Thunder Wave - Knock Off - U-Turn - Encore You know who gives a fuck about commas? Not this Swagcat. Black Glasses is preferred over Dread Plate for maximum FuckYouness. Encore fucks up set-up 'mons and forces switches for some top-tier annoyance levels. Knock Off helps cripple the walls that like to come in on this Swagcat. Fuck you walls. T-wave messes with the enemy team and lets the poor fucker know you aren't messing around when it comes to utility moves. U-Turn helps you keep up offensive momentum and get some hella chip damage while you're at it. Who gives a fuck about an Oxford comma? I've seen those English dramas too They're cruel... ___________________________ A-Punk Kabutops (M) @ Lum Berry Ability: Swift Swim EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Rapid Spin - Waterfall - Aqua Jet - Stone Edge What's that sound? You having no hazards? Poor thing. Kabutops is by far the best spinner in NU. It creates free turns so it can spin and can come in on about 80% of the tier. Lum Berry is it's item because you DO NOT want this thing getting burned. It's EVs maximize it's offensive potential. The moves are all pretty standard aside from the lack of Sword's Dance. I feel as though the loss of priority if I were to use SD instead of Aqua Jet would lose me more games than win them as this thing is hella slow outside of rain. The best thing about Kabutops is that it can freely switch in on a Typhlosion Eruption and only take around 30%. This thing checks fire spam so well. I consider it a gift from the gods above in RU. It can freely switch into most of my team lmao. - Pawniard also fucks with this team. Although Dragalge and Vileplume can handle it decently, it can still put some major owies on most of my team's members. - This thing is too fast and has EdgeQuake coverage which can really fuck my team if it gets out of hand. - Freeze-Dry is also a big issue on this team most of the time lmao. Outroductions: Well guys, that's the team. It's not the best team I've ever made, but it's the one I've had the most fun with. As I said before, I'm "retiring" this team. So I'm perfectly fine with others using it. One thing I ask if you do decide to use this team is to give credit where credit is due and not claim this as your own. looks like a good team emvee! i rate it 9/10. some suggestions, running 216 speed on kanga with 40 evs in hp make you bulkier and you're still able to outspeed base 85s :] also putting 92 speed evs on seismitoad would be better than putting that 56 in Sdef as then you can outspeed such mons as uninvested sawk, qwilfish, and lanturn :]

First off, Cradily is never a very good lead. And looking at your team, a Vileplume would be much better than Cradily since you have a MASSIVE fighting weakness. I suggest this set: Vileplume @ Black Sludge Ability: Effect Spore EVs: 52 HP / 252 Def / 204 Spe Bold Nature - Sludge Bomb - Giga Drain - Hidden Power [Fire] - Synthesis So you can outspeed base 80's with any weird speed invests. I'm going to reccomend you use this Crustle set: Crustle @ Mental Herb Ability: Sturdy EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Spikes - Rock Blast - Stealth Rock - Knock Off This set will help your gatr sweep even more than before by setting up at least 1 layer of hazards guaranteed. Since your team is still very weak to certain 'mons such at Hariyama and Sawk, I'm reccomending you use a bulky version of Rotom in place of Archeops: Rotom @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 248 HP / 52 Def / 208 Spe Timid Nature - Shadow Ball - Volt Switch - Pain Split - Will-O-Wisp This thing takes a surprising amount of damage and can still beat up on many things in the tier. Audino has gone down in usage for a few reasons. Firstly, Fighting types are much more prevalent than before since Spiritomb is no longer in the tier to stop them. Secondly, Audino is just kinda meh in comparison to other support mons LOL! So, I'm going to suggest you change Audino to Mesprit because Mesprit murders spinners and defoggers and has access to healing wish. Mesprit @ Life Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Thunderbolt - Healing Wish - Psyshock - Ice Beam Now for smaller changes. Swellow with Flame Orb is bad because you take more damage per turn than you would if you ran Toxic Orb. Also change out Boomburst for quick attack because just seeing that on a physical Swellow set made me want to quit pokes. You can put those useless EVs into something worthwhile like Def or SDef. Change your Gatr EVs to 64 HP / 252 Atk / 112 Spe so you can outspeed max speed base 65 pokes. Also change Dragon Dance to Swords Dance because DD gatr isnt as good as it used to be. You're much better off just getting the 2x attack boost and ripping thru shit with waterfalls and aqua jets. Also change the Lum Berry to Mystic Water since you have healing wish support to let gatr sweep a second time. Overall I give this team a 6/10 because of how many weaknesses it has to common threats in the tier. You also still have no check to Specs/Scarf Typhlosion. But if you fodder something and bring in gatr you should be able to smack it with an Aqua Jet so its eruption wont be doing as much.
