Okay friends, hello, let's be clear about one thing first: This is not a full episode release, there is no new story content, and it will not be replacing the main downloads. The 10.5 version is being uploaded only for public testing purposes, so play it at your own risk. Everything will be safely incorporated into the E11 release when that happens, so there's absolutely no need for you to get this unless you want to help test/play around with it. That said, what is Episode 10.5? In a nutshell, it is 6th gen. The Obtainable list is currently accurate to 10.5, not Episode 10. Not all mechanics have been updated, particularly (as with a lot of 4th/5th gen content) there are a lot of moves/abilities that currently have no extra effect because they haven't been scripted it in yet. However, everything at least exists, including the new Pokemon, and Fairy Type. Plus, new protagonists! One important change to note is the change to the controls- the Space and Z key have effectively been swapped. Space is now run, and Z is now the 'A' button. Space actually works for both, but it's unclear if that's a sustainable solution at this point, so I suggest getting used to using Z as 'A'. If you find any bugs... or, perhaps I should say, when- please report them in the topic in the Troubleshooting forum, not in this thread. A list of significant changes is below, followed shortly by the download link. Download here~ Next up, time to update the trainer card generator...

Okay well as funny as Zero Punctuation is I think this really must not be his genre of game or something because I can confidently say Valkyria Chronicles is one of the most solid strategy RPGs I've seen. Although he hit the nail on the head about choosing units because of their lesbian tendencies. not even gonna lie about that one.

I appreciate the offer, but for the time being I'm going to leave animations to others. There are already a lot of new ones in the upcoming release so I'm not 100% sure which are missing (and as is, some of them are mistargetted...)-- but those visual effects take a back seat to producing the game content + they seem to be be being produced at a decent rate outside of Reborn.

Then yeah, your computer can't keep up witht he game itself with that many Pokemon. New suggestion is to send your save file to another user and ask them to do what I described before about thinning out the number of Pokemon per box, and then send it back to you. I've heard from others that keeping boxes at half capacity tends to help on weaker computers. What's the problem exactly? Or is it a general script hanging message? If it's the latter, then try running the game with nothing else going on your computer (so your computer can devote all its resources to that) and try moving the Pokemon in your boxes around so that they're all only about half-full each. That should reduce the strain of loading them. -
To be clear, it's broken in 10, but will be fixed in 10.5

If worst comes to worst a Fairy Stone is possible. My current intention is to make it max happiness + knowing a fairy move (so it would only evolve into Espeon/Umbreon if it did not know a fairy move). It isn't listed as available yet just because the scripting hasn't been completed, though I've put in an order for it.

It's a waste of creative space to have random trainers making personal allusions that only a few people are going to get or enjoy, versus having those same trainers alternatively making comments that reinforce the game world. For instance, let's take the Peridot Ward as an example (even though I never included user trainers there in the first place, a lot of them are still rather arbitrary). The trainers up in West Peridot actually make allusions to them being in gangs as you battle them (West side, represent, yo!) which actually adds to the feel of the area. If these were user-submitted characters then using them to set that atmosphere wouldn't be a viable option, so the creative potential is lost. -

I would be all over triple and rotation battles if I could have them, but the scripts the game runs on don't support them and the person who made them has openly said he has 0 intention to include them ever :c -
1- There's a dudeguy when you first get to Shelly's gym who informs you that she isn't accepting challengers. When Shelly is away, he would probably say the same thing to other trainers. The reason Florinia couldn't leave wasn't because she's bound to her gym, but because she didn't want to leave Obsidia's PULSE-plant crisis unattended. 2- Shelly isn't as resilient as the others- it's not in her character to pick a fight herself. If she has friends with her, such as when raiding the orphanage, then she'll help them out, but she's mostly too timid. That said, it should generally be understood that when the children are abducted, they're separated from their Pokemon. However, that wasn't clearly outlined in the main story for the sake of not having especially long-winded cutscenes. If that's a common concern, I can certainly add it in. Another thing of note is that it is actually with in Sigmund's legal power to arrest any of the children (specifically, the characters who are under 18, which includes heather shelly noel anna charlotte and even cain). The reason it's left to the protagonist (who is assumed to be a legal adult) and later Laura/Saphira, to defend them is actually a matter of law. Although technically the player broke the law in infiltrating the Orphanage, Sigmund is not able to arrest the player because he is a doctor, not a formal officer of the law- he may only, as the owner of the orphanage, legally take the children. For Fern- This is correct. When you first pass through the Tanzan mountains, Charlotte notes that the metalwork is newly furnished. The last time Fern was seen was in the Wasteland. After he beats Aya, he finds a path into Chrysolia, beats Serra, and passes through Tanzan before Meteor locks it down for testing PULSE-Abra. Admittedly, that's a small window, but it'll have to do. As far as the in-game Ame is concerned (this holds true for Charlotte as well), Noel's official gym location is actually the orphanage. In-game Ame doesn't seem to be aware that Sigmund forbids them from being challenged there. Charlotte later mentions that she has a gym in Calcenon but until she escapes the orphanage that gym is just an abandoned site that she inherited before being taken into the orphanage.

You're quite observant. I only have Chrysolia and Aventurine left to do. After that I'll be going back and redoing trainer battles, and then a few visual things, and then it'll be set (provided I get a few last-minute necessities scripted in, specifically support for new alternate forms + new evo methods) As for 6th gen stuff, it's hit or miss. Mechanics- I know for sure that electric types can't be paralyzed, and I think the ghost type is now immune to traps. T he grass type immunity to powder, however, is incomplete, but probably is correctly applied to Effect Spore. Catch EXP and nick-name length haven't gotten done yet because they've been a lower priority than some other stuff. Type chart stuff isn't even a question; all done. Fairies4days Mega support is added, but we don't have sprites (yet!) Moves and abilities exist but may not have any effect (aside from damage) with the exception of Tough Claws which I happened to run across the code to implement. So random, right? I chose to prioritise finishing up older abilities instead of making new ones but there's a lot that was done for this release. -

Most of the trainers in the game are not from the request topic, though in places that just needed generic trainers (Opal Bridge) I pulled from there as often as I could. However, minute, though it may be, I realised that continuing to do that was weakening the game, and thus I no longer am ( -- sorry about that). -
Unburden hasn't been implemented as of episode 10, but it has for the 10.5 release

It's definitely a glitch song, and one of her older ones, but I can't remember which off the top of my head. I've actually wanted to replace the old Sinister Uprising for a while though because parts of it really sound too happy for them, I think. So I made the old team-meteor-base song the actual team-meteor song and had a new base song. I'm also not 100% happy with the feel of the new one either but I do think it's an improvement since really only the beginning of the old one sounds 'Sinister' at all. The new one is at least consistently edgy. Others' thoughts?
