  1. That's a relief to hear, I was not mentally prepared to be rocked again by Mr. Mime's wild ride.
  2. Hey, I've been trying to find all the Z-Cells for 100% Zygarde and complete the XY quest, but when I checked the guide I found out that I missed one in the Darkrai quest. I can't go back to the area because it's limited to the event; does this mean that I am perma-locked out of finishing the two quests? Do I need to roll back saves just to get the cell? (Which would not be ideal, since I busted my ass getting through the PULSE boss rush battles)
  3. I'm in the same exact situation. I got around it by using the password 'freemegaz', but it sucks that I'll have that quest unfinished basically forever.
  4. Thank you, this thought experiment has been very helpful.
  5. Let's say, hypothetically, that someone incredibly dumb accidentally released all the Pokemon from the 7th Street smuggler. Let's also presume that this someone also just realized that you need the exact Pokemon with the right Original Trainer tag to complete the Mega Ring/Z Ring quest. If they were to exist, they would ask how you can change the OT tag of Pokemon to complete the quest since they would not want to play again all the way back up to 7th street just to rectify this stupid decision. Of course this is all totally not real, but what would you tell them?
  6. Jay wasn't surprised at the weird transformed monster 'Omega' had become, not anymore. In fact, annoyance brewed up inside him and cracked through the tired out fight and flight mechanism. None of this made sense, cadets seemed way too casual for what sounded like the end of the world and this lunatic cult lady-monster-thing had far overstayed her ridiculous villanious welcome. The hisses of doubt that sneered at him wasn't so far as it was erased, but was drowned out by an exasperation at the sheer lack of sense this situation was, and that he felt sidelined from logic itself. Adrenaline, like high tide behind a bloated dam, kicked in and impatient anger stampeded forth. Flight had burned out at the fuse, and now it was time for fight. "Just shut up!" Jay shouted as he squinted his eyes at the screaming monster, exasperatedly shooing them away. "Shut up and go to hell! I don't care about your stupid rock or if you want to ruin the world or whatever - I don't care, I don't care, just go back to being dead already!" That was all the instruction that Ember, stoically eyeing the monster, needed to run headlong toward their assaultor, lunge up against a nearby rock and throw a kick up against Omega's face. Jay uses Attacker Lv. 1 to raise Ember's ATK by 1 stage! Ember uses Double Kick (5654 * 2) against Omega!
  7. The last stone! Jay could spot it glistening as he got out of the car, sore from the bumpy ride. Luckily there seemed to be a cadet defending the stone. Nevermind - the 'cadet' made her legs glow blue and red. Speaking of which, the person defending the stone looked an awful like the crazy flaming dance lady Omen, only less so. It was a wonder that she was still standing, with skin and sinew barely holding bones together. Frankly, Jay lost track of the whole progression already. It was tough to do that when he was half-panicking all the time. Jay yelped as he jumped to the side, even if the car was going to miss him by a fair way. Was one of the cadets going to ram them with a car?! Jay jumped to the conclusion of it being murder, but considering how the last copy of Omegle disintegrated into sand when they 'killed' her, he doubted that she counted as a person anyway...as long as Jay can explain all this nonsense afterwards. Oh, and Omelet was trying to kill them all. Jay dusted himself off, pretending to not have shaking legs and not wanting to just hole back up on his dorm room. Why Aether Foundation sending teenagers like them to tackle terrorists that could kill them all with a giant blade of earth, he had no clue. But there was no more backing away now (especially the case as the escape car was currently en route towards the danger, not away). With unsteady hands, he found grip of the Aetherball and summoned Ember. If that frail looking lady could stand against Omega, then so should he. Ember tumbled out, beak and claw ready, then paused when she spotted Omenta still alive and snarling at the cadets. Ember looked confusedly back towards Jay, then made a gesture towards the ground. "Yeah, the one we beat was actually sand or something!" Jay said, feeling ridiculous as he said it. "S-so we're gonna do it again!" Jay only hoped that the other cadets would back him up as he and Ember readied up for a fight.
  8. ((Sorry for absence in the last few posts, my brain has been quite uncooperative for the past few days.)) Jay felt a jolt of adrenaline and dread as he came to his senses. He spaced out for a few moments, now of all times, when they were battling a crazy ground lady that clearly had no intentions of talking it out. But the rumbling ground finally brought Jay's addled mind back into focus, enough to jump back and recoil against th ruptured sand that leapt at him. Just what is this thing?! He thought as Omega's body began to shift. It was more than just a nutjob with a flashy bag of tricks. They were beyond human Focus, Jay! Less questions. More action. Jay backstepped further away, trying to put more distance between him and the manic dancer. "Intercept her, Ember!" Jay shouted. Ember leapt into action, glad to finally join the fight. The Combusken ran at Omega, and took a running leap against her face, talon beared. Ember uses Double Kick (5654 * 2) against Omega
  9. Completely off her rockers. Jay knew the human/human-possessed-by-spirit/probably-should-have-not-called-her-it was most likely a danger, but now she sounded like she was about to froth at the mouth and reveal she had overdosed on candies or something. Yeah, didn't seem like she would be letting Jay, or anyone for that matter, out of here alive. Jay's anxiety grew heavier, but Jay knew there were no more choices in this situation. There was going to be a fight - but Jay wasn't sure if the woman had Pokemon with her or not. Though if that omega symbol didn't mean anything ominous, Jay didn't know what was. Jay chooses Ember Jay uses Attacker Lvl. 1, increasing Ember's attack stat by 1 stage.
  10. Jay looked around. He had no clue what was going on, to be honest. Except for well, being threatened with death along with everyone else on the island. Why did he ask the question in the first place if he didn't know what the answer meant? Some of the other cadets, notably those who had been on the beach when he arrived, seemed to recognize what the weird...lady...fiend thing was talking about. They most likely met with the murderous lady before; at least, the one that they were masquerading as. Jay decided to stay quiet, on a nervous standby for Emm to give the call. Jay wasn't the mainstage here, and it sounded like there was a story that went far back. Best not to incite further.
  11. Jay gulped, ignoring Ember pecking at his leg to fight. Yep. She was definitely going to kill them all. Jay felt sick at the stomach, and yet detached from the gravity of it all, listening to the figure spiel about her plans to split the island in half and drown everyone. The island's population. The ENTIRE population. He didn't need to count to know that there were a lot of zeroes in that figure. Could he even comprehend that? Jay doubted he could, although he sure as hell wasn't going to wait around to see if he did. "Wait - you know that thing?!" Jay blurted out when the cadet called Emmauel addressed her. Even worse, the cadet seemed to try and hold his ground, and even have the time to answer a comm-call. One battle in, Jay was already in over his head and a cadet that looked far younger than he was looked like it was just another day in the job. Jay thought of running. No, Jay decided he should run. But as he traced the fissue that tore the town in half, the distant screams of wailing people in the background, the manic laughter of "Uno". There wasn't anywhere to run, was there? Jay doubted he could run away fast enough, and even more that he would be able to evacuate with the rest of the civilians. The situation had backed him to a corner. This is a terrible first day on the job... Jay thought as he nodded grimly to Ember. Ember flapped her wings (arms? Jay never decided) to align her feathers. Finally, she seemed to say as she stepped in front of Jay.
  12. Jay stumbled and hacked as dust and sand hailed upon him, feeling the sand land upon his straw hat as Ember took shelter from the raining sand under Jay's legs. What...? Neither his reason nor his emotions could comprehend the situation at the start. One second, he was about to sheepishly sigh and ask if anyone had seen his A-Comm. The next, the ground had cracked open like a fragile egg shell and what he could only assume the perpetuator staring at the group of cadets with a switchblade smile. Who was this person? What did they have to do with the Gyradoses? Did the other cadets meet them before? Should he run? Jay felt dizzy, his legs trying to run and stand his ground at the same time. He could dully hear the screams in the background. Were those from the town? He...he could just help them instead of confronting this person, right? Right? No, it might be worse there. He didn't even know if this person was hostile or not. He should stay. Maybe not to the point of standing ground, but at least to the point of discerning who this person was. "Who are you?" Jay said, wishing his voice was far deeper and didn't shake nearly as much as his legs did.
  13. Okay. Okay? Okay. Jay was okay. Everything was okay, okay? Jay felt his legs shuddering, like someone had stolen his bones and his muscles were desperately trying to support Jay and the entire weight of his first real battle. Jay looked pathetic, he knew. The battle felt almost surreal to him - he had to slip on his false bravado, shouting commands and overlooking the battle. But reality had its way of delayed shocks, and Jay was feeling the full force, a tidal wave of "Holy crap I could have died" and "Am I really cut out for this?" Before Jay sank into rumination, Ember had returned to him, her feathers ruffled and beak scratched from pecking the serpents down. "Uhh..." Jay let out a shaky laughter. "I - I knew we could do it!" He pumped his fists in the wrong direction. At least he should look confident in front of his Pokemon! Impose authority...or something. That's what people kept telling him to do anyway. Ember gave a drawn out bawk in response. Jay wasn't fooling anyone, apparently. Or maybe he was just trying to fool himself. "A-anyway! Should we go say hi?" Ember pecked at his shoes. Stop shaking. Jay punched his thighs. "I'm trying, okay?" He hissed. He took a few deep breaths, tried again to put the bones back in his jellified legs, but it was pulled back out at the sight of Cathode's freshly caught Gyrados turning on her. "Uh...!" Jay stepped back, and noticed Ember waiting and alert for Jay's instruction. Should he sent Ember after the Gyrados? But why would a caught pokemon attack the trainer? "Do - wait, I think - uh, I think -" I think she's got it. Jay struggled to articulate, but Ember understood, tentatively watching as Cathode attempted to recall the Gyrados.
  14. For your information dante3434, 1x1 roleplays aren't really a thing here, and you haven't exactly explained the entire concept / storyline either. You're gonna have to make an Interest Check thread or any sort of post that actually explains...well, everything.
  15. [[Sorry, caught up in uni stuff, will flesh into full post later. Here's my action though]] Ember used Peck on Gyrados #3! Peck (Physical) Power: 30 Accuracy: 100% Att. Stage: +1 Att. Value: 5212
  16. Jay watched in a grimance as Ember managed to clip away the charging Gyrados' fangs just enough to avoid getting bitten in half, but the Gyrados still managed to catch purchase in one of her wings. Ember firmly kept her beak closed to keep down a cry of pain, though she couldn't hide her feathers becoming tattered and broken where the Gyrados' teeth raked through them. "Y-you alright?!" Jay called after Ember nervously. Pokemon got hurt way worse in battles, but Jay felt particularily guilty for his stupidity. Ember responded with an accusatory glare, her intense amber eyes shooting daggers at her inactive master. Yeah, I deserve that... Jay smiled in a lobsided, apologetic way. But by the looks of it, the Gyrados had turned its attention to the Munchlax, and Ember was free to strike. As much as Jay knew Ember would like to hit back at the Gyrados unopposed, Jay could see that she was needed elsewhere, spotting the Nicaea from his higher vantage point, now vunerable to the full force of the rampaging Gyrados now that the Onix was knocked away from the battlefield. "Ember! Peck the other Gyrados! Try to disrupt its attack!" Jay ordered, swinging the sunscreen bottle towards the Nicaea to signal which one. Ember took a moment to relocate the right Gyrados and angled her charge to break the force of the Gyrados' charge. Ember used Peck on Gyrados #2! Peck (Physical) Power: 30 Accuracy: 100% Att. Stage: +1 Att. Value: 5212
  17. Jay cheered as the Munchlax slammed the water serpent into the sand, then Ember taking advantage of its downed state with an accurate Peck into its side. Maybe he did got this! Or at least the other cadets did, anyway. Speaking of other cadets though; he turned away momentarily to check the other cadets, who were throwing Pokeballs at the sleeping Gyradoses presumably in a straw-grasp attempt to reduce the number of targets before they reawakened. Well, that's a long shot - but I guess we're desperate! It's not gonna work thooooouwwaaat?? Jay squinted as one of the balls shuddered on the ground after absorbing a Gyrados, then confirmed its capture with a crisp click. Jay scratched his head, trying to reconcile what he had witnessed with theory. Isn't capturing an undamaged Pokemon stupidly hard? What the actual f- Ember cawed at Jay to get his attention - she had the attention of a Gyrados with a slightly squashed head, and she was unsuccessfully kiting the rearing and enraged Gyardos. Jay jumped a little. Why Ember!? Okay, it was alright, he could use this. The Gyrados was damaged and probably easier to catch than the one that girl just caught, right? And maybe capturing wasn't as hard as it looked! "O-alright, uh, try to bring it closer to me!" Jay said, pulling out an Aetherball...? Wait - it felt too plastic. He looked down with a panicked mouth agape. Instead of a ready Aetherball, he was holding a sunscreen bottle. "Drat! Auhh, Wait-waitwaitwait!" Jay frantically started to turn his pockets inside out. Ember's empty Aetherball tumbled out into the sand, but other than that, nothing. He must have left his A-Comm behind on the drill or something! And all he brought was a stupid sunscreen bottle! Seeing as she was not going to receive her orders in time, Ember gave an avian version of an angry sigh and pivoted on her leg, then attempted to deflect at least some of the incoming attack with another Peck. Ember used Peck on Gyrados #4! Peck (Physical) Power: 30 Accuracy: 100% Att. Stage: +1 Att. Value: 5212
  18. Jay felt his heart thumping out of his chest, tossing a sunscreen bottle around in his hands and white sunscreen streaks still lingering on his face. Nervous would be an understatement. They were being deployed at #04, which initially made Jay dress hastily into his swimming boxers and straw hat. Surely, after the deployment was over, they could mess around at the beach, right? But as Jay arrived at the Drill and heard the reports, he realized that sunburns were the least of his problems - at least not while there were murderous Gyradoses rampaging up and down the beach and the entire island's residents hanging on the line. Seriously? He had only very recently graduated, but now they were throwing him straight into the go. Out of the frying pan, into a magma pit. As he disembarked the drill, he jumped up and down on the spot, trying to psych himself up. He could do it. Yeah, what did a bunch of giant flying water dragons have got on him? Type advantage, anti-physical ability, and probably numbers advantage. An anti-flaming-bird combo. That's what they had on him. Jay only ended up becoming even more nervous as it slowly dawned on him that he might have been the least qualified person to deal with this. So much for the beach episode. Jay let out a silent laugh that huffed into a sigh, then followed another cadet to the beach, holding tightly on his straw hat. As he reached the beach, he saw two other cadets already present, holding off a horde of Gyradoses encroaching on their position. Some had fallen asleep, presumably from a Sleep Powder or something similar, but there were still plenty looking awake and pissed. He took a deep breath and sent out his starter, a combusken with a clipped left plume named Ember. Ember looked at the beach full of thrashing serpents, then back to Jay with a look of 'The hell am I supposed to do.' Jay threw his hands up. "What? Don't look at me! I didn't piss them off! For once it's not my fault!" Ember didn't look impressed and cocked her head. "L-look, we can wing this." Jay said with a very unconvincing look of reassurance, "We can do this, we got this! Alright, use Peck! Watch their tail and attack the ones still awake! I'll support from here!" If Ember had eyebrows, she would have raised it. But instead she bawked and ran at the nearest Gyrados, jumping up and aiming to Peck the eyes. Jay used Attacker (Lv. 1) on Ember! Ember used Peck on Gyrados #4! Peck (Physical) Power: 30 Accuracy: 100% Att. Stage: +1 Att. Value: 5212

  20. Man, it's been quite a while since I last RP'd, but Black and White are my favourite Gen so I'm quite interested in joining. I'll probably make a character soon-ish and apply, if the signups are still open.
  21. "He is correct." Mirona reported. "No kind of organization or union." "Bummer. Well, thanks for the chip and showing us around, it was super fun!" Axel shook Steven's hand enthusiastically. As they turned to leave, Axel shouted, "Oh yeah, by the way - when you get super famous and stuff, please invite me~!" Axel waved and went back out to the streets. "It was certainly something, wasn't it?" He guffawed appreciably. "Well, I'm done for tonight! Let's catch the next train before we miss it!" Axel rode the Tube back to where they were to stay for the night.
  22. "Shucks, man." Axel scratched his head, looking around at the positively marvelous statues in the workshop around him. "Maybe it's to do with advertising? I mean, it's really cool down here, but your exterior deco doesn't really do your skills justice. Or is there like an artist union or forum you can join? There's gotta be something, otherwise people are really missin' out!" Axel looked to Mirona, who knew the responsibility would ultimately fall on her to find such an organization. The Navi responded with a sighing affirmation. "Riiight. On it." She initiated a search on the Net for some sort of group that Stevens can join. "I mean, I'd help more if I could, but I kinda need to leave 'bout tomorrow morning for somethin'."
  23. Julius As the building continued to change around him, Julius continued to read the pages of the ancient book upside down, back to front. Julius liked books. He loved the pages crinkling underneath the fingers, the homely aroma of a well-worn book, the solace of their words. Books were treasure troves of knowledge - but more than that, they were eternal observers, impartial and silent. The one constant in a chaos. Unlike people, books didn't judge him - they listened and spoke with absolute indifference. And he had absolute control over the pace of their conversation. When he wanted to stop, he could simply put down the book and walk away. Julius looked like a completely different person as the white haired mage-in-training slipped deeper into the depth of the book. The awkward air, the nervous look, even, if Proditor was to listen, the constant self-deprecating voice that been constantly plaguing him had been silenced. His complexities about himself had disappeared and was replaced with absolute attention. The faint blue spheres hung silently above Julius' head, as if to read the book over his shoulder. In this meditative state, Julius examined the contents of the book that he might be able to try to train up in the rest period between or before battles. He flicked through the last few pages detailing complicated concepts, almost faded from view. All of these are pretty high level. I should find something that fits within my limitations. I can currently control a total of 3 orbs with confidence whilst maintaining Proditor's form. There should be techniques to try and use them with higher efficiency... Julius subconsciously started to rearrange the orbs above his head, like a few attentive soldiers changing formation in a military drill. Visrii The halberd's blade stuck to the ground, Visrii leaning on it for support as blood pooled out below him. Without the battle momentum to continue his fighting spirit, Visrii felt the whole and full brunt of the gaping wound in his torso. The wound shocked his body, each movement rocking waves of fiery pain across his entire being. Though his eyes were half-blind with the pain, his mind continued to stay afloat above it all, cautiously calculating all movement. Visrii smirked in a mockery of himself, lips stitched upwards. Reminds me of bad old times. The red-haired demon, hot-headed and misled. The He was a savior of nothing but a dead faith, guardian of a faded God. Thankfully, he had found his new purpose before the end of his life - and with it, some new tricks. A orange-golden circle of warmth appeared over the wound. Thick blood trawled to a close, and halted completely. This part will hurt. Visrii gritted his teeth and forced his mind to be fully aware of every sensation. He forced himself to be aware, pain and all, feeling each and every torn tendon and ruptured vein for its searing existence. But only through awareness he could heal - the experience of months of healing condensed into just seconds. He grit his teeth and his usually stoic expression broke into a wince as the magic accelerated the healing process within his body rapidly. For a moment, black and maroon crowded Visrii's vision as the pain imploded within but soon the pain subsided. It was still there - the spell didn't fully regenerate his entire body from the get-go, but at least he didn't have a hole in his body now. The armor, blown in by the blow, shimmered slightly and glowed in the rain. White mist flickered from the minor scratches as the armor slowly repaired itself. Angelic armaments. So this is why they have persisted so long. He had recovered most of the wound from the previous battle - the armor was still damaged and he would have to be careful for the next day or so as he had to give his body some time to properly heal, but nothing was a permanent loss. The real damage was his pride. He had just lost the very first battle in the entire War, and to a Beast no less. As the Berserker said, there would be many more stronger Servants to come. Unless he could improvise and adapt, he would never overcome such trials - much less protect Master. He could not afford to fail like again. Not this time, not in this life. Nonetheless, he had to report the bad news to Master. Master - I have failed. The Berserker has managed to escape. I will return to your location now. After a couple jumps and teleports, he landed a few steps away from Marian. Ah. Master is safe. He was relieved - a little too relieved - that no-one had approached Master during his skirmish. If anything had happened to Master, he would have truly and utterly failed as a Servant and guardian. He bowed his head in shame as he reported back to her. "Master."
  24. "Oooh~!" Axel exclaimed. He was no artist, but he was sure that he found one of those famous back-alley artists - the unnamed masters that came up in anime plots all the time. ...wait, what? Mirona buzzed, confused at the turn of events. "Wow, man - you sculpted all this? Ain't it something - why aren't there more people here watching this? This is one heck of a talent!" Axel cheerily continued to praise the artist's sculptures, circling around the statues to get a holistic look. Mirona watched him as he viewed rather haphazardly at each statue. Wasn't - why is Axel so unguarded? "That's incredible! Told-ya Mirona! It was totally worth it~" "JUST. A second." Mirona's voice spoke up loudly, her annoyed sprite popping up in front of Axel's eyes. "We to have a little conversation, mister." Axel took a few steps back. "Oh, huh. Alright. S'cuse me." Just a few strides away, Mirona - or her sprite at least - hovered right in front of Axel's eyes. "Axel - didn't you send the signal? Why aren't you guarding yourself right now?" Axel's brow creased with innocent confusion. "Send what?" "THE SIGNAL." If Mirona had teeth, she would be saying it with clenched teeth. "Err..." Axel smiled awkwardly. "Ah-ha, yes! The signal! The thing! Yes!" Don't tell me... "We agreed - before we came over here - if you moved your thumb in this pattern on the pad - " she waved her hand in a star-shaped pattern (rather flustered with frustration), "it means danger and that I should start recording for an SOS signal." "We did?" Her voice dropped to monotonously lethal. "By Wily's name if you have forgotten I swear I will climb out of this pad right now and strangle you with your own intestines." There was a little moment before the memory finally clicked. "Oooh, we did!" Axel laughed. "Yeah, so you thought that I did the thing and you started recording? Mirona, I was just trying to get the pad in my pocket!" Mirona, on the contrary, found the situation less than amusing. Her sprite glitched momentarily, her face set to a death stare. Axel's laugh withered into an apologetic whimper at the force of her stare. "Right. Sorry there. I'll try to remember next time, yeah?" "Right." Mirona replied. Her sprite faded back out and her remaining voice sounded tired, like a mother after a stressful day looking after a rowdy kid. "Just be careful." Adjusting density to undefined. Light nor knowledge can ever escape that thick head of his. "Alright~" Axel said, his cheeriness picking straight back up. "So, where were we? Oh yeah - ain't there something like an expedition - I mean exhibition - kind of deal at the National Gallery or something? I reckon you've more than enough skills for it!"
