  1. -snip- Sorry guys, due to some private issues I can't join you in this RP. This RP still looks interesting and I wish all the best for both Lexi and all the players
  2. Julius Julius looked up with a thinly masked expression of surprise. "D-d'you really think so...?" No, what was he thinking. Proditor was only saying that to comfort him. Everyone had done so at first - but prolonged exposure made him cynical of himself. Still, he appreciated Proditor for even trying to comfort him. After the teleport, Julius barely caught himself this time and looked around the gym. It was dusty as hell - the rays of light that filtered through the tiny windows on the ceiling of the gym gave dim spotlight to white dust snowing down through the air. "Uh, I guess this is it." It was not as good as the church, of course - but it was still a pretty sturdy building and if need be, there was a large bunker-like storage area beneath them. Julius accidentally breathed in a heap of dust, and set to a coughing fit. When he managed to settle down, he turned to Proditor. "So, I never actually asked you - what kind of preparation do you need to do? Do you, err I guess need specific materials?" Visrii Visrii lowered his head in confirmation. "Very well Master. Be wary, Master - there may still be other Servants. If there are any urgent matters. please notify me at once, and I will answer as swiftly as possible." "Master, please cover your eyes for phase-step." Marian would feel her hair standing up as Visrii gathered energy, and a light shock as they disappeared into a bright flash, and nearby lights flickered as power coursed through the air before they appeared in another flash several blocks away. Visrii stepped several more times, before landing inside a dusty little coffee shop. Visrii put his arm across his chest in a Champion's salute, before disappearing again another spark. Within moments, Visrii was in the air right above Ashnard with Axiom aimed directly at him, his armor gently crackling with potential, as if it in itself was anticipating in excitement. "Engaging the enemy." Visrii reported, before crashing down with the force of a lightning strike, the halberd blade sizzling with heat against the storming rain.
  3. This sounds a lot like Titanfall 2, which I am quite a fan of (Papa Scorch gonna cook some spice up). I'll be pretty interested, though I'd have to see the OOC to decide fully
  4. "Mirona, you 'right?" Axel's piped up. "Yes." Mirona said briskly, irritated by her own performance. "Moving to capture data." [Up / Right x3 (Forced) / Right / Up / Up x2 (Forced)]
  5. Seek strength. The rest will follow... He needed to try his best in whatever little way he could help - and if he should become the best that he could be, and if Quina became the best that she could be, then he trusted that everything else should follow. This time, Kalva returned Gina's piercing gaze, light brown eyes as burning with passion as much as her's. "Alright. Please tell me as soon as it's completed!" Kalva signed, filled with determination. As soon as the training camp was open, he would be sure to go there. Kalva gently took Quina's Aetherball back off Gina and returned her. "For now, I am going to the medbay for Quina's treatment." Kalva informed her, in case she needed to find him. Then Kalva broke into a hopeful smile, as if all that he had experienced and lost were but a bitter-sweet dream faded half gray into memory. After walking, he waved goodbye to Gina and set off for the medbay, one step ahead at a time.
  6. Kalva looked at Quina with an air of melancholy. Quina looked so peaceful there. But Kalva had only just a few hours ago learned how fragile this peace was. "It's confusing." Kalva at last signed. "I'm trying to be strong to protect her...but I need to accept that she will get hurt?" Kalva's stomach hurt from the prospect of losing Quina again - and not just once, but thousands of times more. But he had resolved to seek strength, and determined to not break down in the case of loss. If getting stronger meant having to see her get beaten over and over...if it meant in the end, he could stand up against not just the forces that could harm Quina, but all pokemon too - then he must at least try to pursue this path. "I'll try to understand. I really will try." "But how do I get stronger? In the battle, I couldn't do anything to save her. All I could do was just watch. I need to try help her - how can I do that?" But when Kalva signed his question, he noticed Gina's gaze quivering from their natural steely might. It was but a moment, and for others might seem trivial, but Kalva had very rarely seen Gina waver so. Regret? Is it regret? There's something paining her. Kalva knew that Gina wouldn't tell him. Gina had always kept her faults under a tight padlock - and not even to him, would she tell the contents of what was behind the lock. If he wanted to help her, then he'd have to find out for himself.
  7. Julius Julius.exe stopped working...rebooting... Julius stopped for a full 10 seconds completely stunned by the fact that Proditor could read his mind, before gathering enough wits to shut his gaping mouth. "Y-you can read minds?!" He can read minds! He's reading me right now! He heard all my -argh! Julius felt exposed and shamed, a criminal in shackles in front of a crowd. And that crowd was his own Servant, who undoubtedly thought him as completely worthless. When Proditor tried to console him, Julius snapped into an outrage against himself. He no longer felt the restraint to keep quiet - what was the difference anyway, if Proditor can read his damn mind? "I-yeah, but I'm a joke! A complete waste! Everyone in my family can at least control an element! Damn it, I'm the only one stuck with some obscure...thing no-one knows about!" Julius violently scratched his head, as if to tear his own hair off. Spheres of white ether floated around him, erratically shifting and crackling like it was in pain. He turned and slammed his hand on the door, the wood sighing while Julius continued. "Everything! I tried everything - trained day and night to even make a spark, while everyone was giving me a hiding for being the only Carsten who can't control his own magic! But no - nothing worked! Not even an ember! I'm stuck with some crappy magic from 3 centuries ago!" Julius huffed and put his hand over his face, hysteria barely calming down into melancholy and shame. "That's why I'm here...I just want to be good at SOMETHING. Not just some failure in my family..." His eyes wandered from the door to Proditor, then to thin air, "I'm pathetic, aren't I?" He went to say something, but he fumbled over the words. "Sorry, I really shouldn't have let it overtake me. I'll try my very best, I swear on my name I will..." Julius straightened up again. "You can't get in the church?" Julius was too tired from his outbreak to be curious about why. "Uh...I guess this place is dud then. I guess I can blast the door, but that won't do any good if you can't get in." The now calmed ether floated over a map Julius took out. "There's a gym a bit to the east of here. I know they have a really big underground storage area too - do you want to try there?" Visrii Visrii continued to dodge rapidly and efficiently, using the most obscure of measures to continue to escape the maddened werewolf. Despite being slower in raw speed, Visrii's rapid analysis and chaotic movement allowed the the pair to slip in and out of Ashnard's reach. Every time they looked like they could be swiped at, Visrii would twist and pirouette away, as if Visrii was actively taunting Ashnard to dare ramp up his speed any faster. Enemy enraged. Most likely cause of increase in physical capacity. Continuation of purely physical fleeing most likely result in failure. Must now use magic and other assets before proceeding to combat. Visrii had kept an arsenal of crystals he used mostly outside of combat, and they were non replenishable in this world - but it seemed like a time where one of them could come in use. Visrii shifted his grip and slipped a small glowing rock into Marian's hands, making sure that she had a firm grip on the thing. Then, she would hear the cool and mellow voice of Visrii directly inside her mind, somewhat akin to a radio with a slight static. "Master, what I have given you is a communications crystal. It can be shattered upon strong impacts, so please use your barrier to lessen damage upon it. It will allow us to communicate over distances as long as both of us are in possession of a matching pair." There was a slight pause as Visrii again made distance. "Currently, there is a choice between fleeing with Reignite, or combating our pursuant. Reignite might burden you in terms of mana, but I am confident we will be able to escape. Alternatively, engaging the enemy will force us to part - which may put you in danger." Bolts of lightning started to fly off from Axiom's blade, destroying poles and other landmarks that Ashnard could use to change his direction. Although that meant Visrii also had lesser objects to work with, Visrii judged that he would be able to handle the lessened footing better than his opponent. Some bolts flew directly at Ashnard, shining brightly in his eyes before dissipating without damage. Visrii continued to draw time for his master to respond, blitzing and turning through the rubble. "Master, the decision is yours." Visrii said, as the halberd whirred again in preparing to cast.
  8. Mirona shook her head irritated at her own mistakes. She had grossly mistimed her shots, and her calculations went awry. She had to get this right.
  9. Kalva buried himself in Gina's arms and hugged back tightly, closing his eyes and for a time he did nothing but to embrace like a child hugging their mother after a camp far too long. The day's recollections whirled around him. The exploration of 08, the death of Wailord, the fight with the Cores, for the first time being unable to protect Quina...and a burning desire for strength. When he was released from the hug he signed, "I missed you Gina. It was tough, it was scary. But we pulled through in the end." Kalva then took out Quina's Aetherball. "I learned a lot of things too." He looked at the dormant ball, taking a deep breath and releasing it in a huff. "I couldn't protect Quina this time - we weren't, I wasn't strong enough." Kalva pursed his lips and with a curiously determined look, "How do I become stronger?"
  10. "Viruses seem to be increasing in difficulty." Mirona analysed. "Proceeding to combat." She wouldn't be able to bust these as quickly as the others, partially due to the large health pool, and partly because of the chip selection. Tch, she'll just have to try her best.
  11. ((Sorry, just came back from camp so I am operating on power-saver mode rn.)) [Up 2, Right 2, Down 1, Right 2 , Up 1, Right 2]
  12. Mirona simply nodded in thanks, and stoically moved on. Up till now, she had been quite lucky with the viruses - and they had all been low tier. She was surely to face a more difficult virus soon; hubris, she had learnt time and time again from Axel's behavior, led to no success. [Up 4]
  13. "Another set of viruses engaged. Proceeding to combat." Mirona reported. Although it was risky, Mirona decided to attempt to delete them all as quickly as possible.
  14. "I was lucky." Mirona said simply. "My name is Mirona. Just Mirona." She was insistent on the name, just so that people got the correct idea before Axel decided to toss in his childish titles of his. [1 up, 6 left, 3 up]
  15. Julius "Wha-" Julius opened his mouth when Proditor grabbed his shoulder, before being teleported way down Julius stumbled after the teleport, mixed up which legs were supposed to go in front of which and tripped himself up, falling splat on the floor. Water splashed out a fanciful outline of Julius when he hit the darkened asphalt. "I'm okay!" He said shakily, picking himself up from the concrete. "Urgh, I, I need to get used to that." Thankfully, most of the water was kept out by the raincoat and the impact was lessened by ether. Though, he looked a sideways glance at Proditor, it was a little embarrassing in front of a Servant. Hey, it was his first time, right? ANYONE would have made that mistake...right? Two internal voices bickered at each other. No, it's just me being incompetent. Shut up, this is not the time to be socially insecure. It's not the time to be stupid either. Shut uppp. He frowned, adjusted the raincoat hoodie back on top of his head, and followed Proditor's gaze to the church. "Yeah, that place! I'm pretty sure there's no sermon today so there won't be people in it to want to peek. Err, let's go inside..." Julius quickly trudged over to the church, then tested the doors. The heavy wooden door gave in a little, but with a clang and a tolling sound of chains offered no more. Locked, probably a padlock and chain from the sound. Err, oh no. He scratched his head and looked to Proditor. He awkwardly mumbled an inquiry, not knowing how to word his question. "Err, it's locked - do you have, some, err... you know, that magic, thing, uh - psionics, to undo the lock somehow?" Internally, he was screaming and banging his head against a wall, hearing what he was saying. His thinly suppressed social awkwardness was now in full swing. I now look completely incompetent. I am an idiot. I am an incompetent idiot. I am awkward, incompetent idiot magus who can't even control more than 3 tiny orbs and can't even talk to girls or even my own Servant or just other people in general and... Inside his head, he continued to write an entire essay self-depreciating while he smiled half-frozen at Proditor. Visrii Visrii briefly watched the werewolf as he swung around with raw pragmatism, taking notes from his test of the werewolf's capabilities. Less capability in control of momentum. However, raw speed seems to be higher. And stupidly strong. He added as he saw the werewolf rip off the pole. Engagement will most likely be troublesome. Movement pattern similar to Scourge monsters. Randomising direction would be effective in causing confusion. It was raw power against technique; such a matchup he had experienced countless times in the Scourge. Though he never had to carry anyone during an escape, he knew what to do. Chaotic movement. He was famous for being unpredictable, after all, though duty remained unwavering. This was a good time to put his practiced steps into use. Though one concern was his Master - was she handling this chase well? His helmet creaked a little as he looked at his Master, now covered in a light magical barrier and wearing what he assumed to be bewildered expression. Master seems to be capable of creating barriers to minimise impact. Clearly first time in the war. Kind of cute- Visrii growled to himself at the unwelcome interjection, cutting the train of thought swiftly. Only treat Master with respect and dutiful reverence. Personal emotions are prohibited. It was one of the many sacred rules of the Watchers, and he had no reason to follow it now that he had long since retired, and now dead; but the sanctity of the rule was embedded into Visrii's very being. Now was a time to focus, not some frivolous matter. Visrii jumped sideways then doubled back over a building barely standing from Ashnard's jumps, jumping off a crumbling spire of concrete before making yet another impossible turn to a nearby building. His subsequent movement was faster and consisted of several spikes of movement in an effort to make tracking difficult, twisting, turning and doubling back in all different directions. Despite risking being overtaken, he had to keep use of magic to a minimum. He didn't know the extent of his Master's mana pool - he would only use teleports, Axiom and other such arcane assets until it was completely necessary.
  16. "Hostiles encountered, proceeding to combat." Mirona calmly reported.
  17. Axel enjoyed the tour thoroughly. He snickered at the costumes and enthusiastically absorbed the stories of the actors. "Alright! Time for the mighty hero to save the day!" Axel grinned and declared heroically, holding up Mirona like a sword of justice, who simply sighs in response. Shaking side to side in clear excitement, Axel plugged Mirona in. "Alright, work your magic Mirona!" Mirona shook her head as she proceeded forward to find whatever was pestering them in the ride, clearly disapproving of Axel's behavior. It was at least fine when they were alone, but not in front of other people! Out of the two, only she knew to be embarrassed. "Proceeding to investigate area. And for everyone's sake, stop shaking." [[6 Right, 4 Up]]
  18. "Sheep-Man? That's much more creative than mine! My Navi's name is Mirona, though she kinda more or less named herself that after a book character." From his backpack, a faintly French accented voice leaked through. "It was much better than DESTROYER OF WORLDS or MEGA BLASTA, or the other 17 different names you suggested." "You have no taste," Axel waved the accusation off. "Anyways, I'm ready to move along when you are!" He put up two finger guns for some reason.
  19. He was relieved that Terry was safe - he, he wasn't sure if he could take another loss if something had happened to Terry. Kalva covered his face with his arms as the Steelix punched through the wall, destroyed crystals scattering into the chamber past him. Wow - that's powerful. Is it because the Cores lost their energy? The crystals did seem to have stored latent power. Now that the interference with the communications were gone, Kalva decided to try out the messenger function on the A-Comm. After briefly getting lost on the menu, he found the function and wrote the message, sending it to Terry. Briefly, the words spelt incorrectly flashed before the messenger auto-corrected. Kalva mentally noted words he spelt wrong for later, and sent the message. "We fought a tree with dual cores, Pixie and Dread. We managed to defeat them and restore them to their dormant state. We also have a member of our team hit by a move of some kind, and we- we- some of our teams were knocked out but for now we're safe and help has arrived." Kalva nudged some of the fragments of crystals around in the shallow water, head drooping a little. It was their first time encountering Cores, but measuring the reactions of Terry, it sounded like it was quite the feat they had accomplished. He glanced at the pile of rock and dust where the Tree once was. Instead of triumph, he felt forlorn and lost. A burning desire for strength and a lesson learnt - but for him, he had undeniably lost. His empty hoodie never felt so heavy. Come on, I'll have to get used to it. I will lose even more times from here on out, and I can't be sad every time I lose! And I can't become stronger if I am sad all the time! With a sudden burst of vigor Kalva suddenly straightened up, stretched a couple times and jumped a little, forcibly pumping himself back up. Alright! Smiles go for miles! We won't lose next time! We will train until we become the very best there is!
  20. Axel arrived in on the tour group, bit later than everyone. His bag was shabby and a weird rectangular lump stuck out on top of the it. "Yep-yep! I'm here!" He yelled, bounding up and down and waving to make sure that they weren't leaving without him. "Axel Erikson, the greatest NetBattler to be!" He proclaimed loud with a confident smile. I'm not just late, I'm fashionably late! Like all heroes are! "Nice to meet you all!"
  21. Kalva saw Suzie's gesture and after a moment, understood what Suzie meant. She might fall off without any way to buckle her down, but Kalva trusted Suzie to be able to balance Uno. Kalva gently placed Uno down on Suzie's tail, making sure again that she wasn't hurt in any way that demanded immediate attention. Kalva nodded as Emmanuel made his way to the surface, watching him climb up the well's walls. Emmanuel had called help, and Kalva hoped that they came swiftly to well, somehow process the aftermath of the battle. Then he turned and made his way to someone else who needed help - Terry. As he approached the crack, he intentionally made loud splashing noises to notify Terry that he was coming, and then squeezed through the crack back into the chamber where Terry was held captive.
  22. Visrii Visrii felt the presence gaining on him, and knew that he had attracted the attention of the Berserker. "Yes Master." He replied cooly, seemingly unfazed by her warning. He mentally counted the seconds between each crash of the building behind him. Powerful and fast jumps. Acceleration of movement. Little to no concern about collateral damage. He turned his head back as he jumped and saw through his visor 2 burning eyes of hatred tearing down at them, chunks of destroyed rock flickering off the beastly form. It was only a moment, but he had seen enough. Enemy is a Beast. Werewolf, most likely. Doesn't seem to have flight capabilities. Or just 'flying' by sheer muscle. Visrii snarkily added to his own analysis. Visrii had fought countless beasts before, but all of them were simple spawns, not some Hero summoned by the Grail. Well, he doubted that such a monster would be a Hero but that was an auxiliary concern. That thing's faster. I can't keep Master safe if I try to increase speed much more than this. There was an advantage a fleeing part can have, however. They could dictate where the chase was leading, and erratic movement especially helped throw the pursuing party off. In addition, no-one without flight capabilities could adjust their trajectory mid-air. He'll have to use those facts to his advantage. Marian would feel Visrii's grip tighten as Visrii braced her for a faster set of jumps, switching from safety of his Master to adjusting pace. Under his helmet, Visrii's brow creased in concentration as he timed his speed to be exactly one leap ahead of his pursuant, and looked back to ensure a landing space. Crash. Land. Leap. Crash. Land. Leap. "Master, please brace for erratic movement." As soon as Visrii heard the next crash, his momentum completely reversed - with the same speed, he launched himself backward nearly horizontally off the next building and landed on an undestroyed building behind him, before continuing to leap backward for a few blocks more then turning and running in the opposite direction without losing any speed. Berserkers often consume their masters' mana very quickly, so longer engagement can increase chances of victory. Julius Servants? Him? He gulped as he jumped over yet another manhole. Not this early! Julius mumbled something about not wanting to die first before nearly misstepping and crashing into a lamppost. "Y-you can do that?" Julius yelled sideways, swerving from his jump a little to avoid a pedestrian. His head was split between being concerned about the impending monsters, the surprise at Proditor's capabilities, and trying to dodge startled people under umbrellas. Now that I think about it - teleportation goes under psonics. "Err-sure! Do it!" Julius said, nodding furiously under the rain and continuing to run away from the incoming pair of Servants for no reason. I-its not running away, it's tactical retreat, I swear!
