Hi there. I'm testing Reborn on wine 1.19, and there is no BGM. In Windows, I have noticed that for some sounds the program calls some sound plugin (it appears briefly in the taskbar while loading the sound, e.g. when the character hits some obstacle). So I wanted to ask what is that plugin so I install it in wine.

Do you mean 1.19 or 1.9? If the former, please update to one of the two versions I've suggested. If the latter, I don't think there's a download for 1.9 on the official site which means I wouldn't exactly trust where you got that from. And considering it's not on the official website, I wouldn't be able to download it to test it to help you. Regardless, I'd recommend sticking to 1.8 or 1.6.1.

Well, sorry, it was 1.9. I just wanted to know the sound plugin so I could search for a solution myself, and thought this was the thread to do so because I use wine too, but I'm not precisely on a mac: I'm in a creepy, tearing apart install of Arch Linux.

I have downgraded the package and in wine 1.8 the sound works fine. Thanks for the advice.

Unfortunately, Wine on Linux is not something I know too much about. But a safe bet is to not use any version of wine I don't recommend here.

i'm stuck at the water treatment center and where this dude (don't remember his name) down the water level and then i had a double battle after that and i lost, when i returned to that spot the water level was up and i cannot go further because there is no one to lower the water level.

I am also unable to upload my file can somebody please help me. (maby its because i have a mac, i dont know) but if somebody knows a solution i would be thankful

So I've downloaded the game & Wine & I seem to of gotten to step 4 without any trouble, however when I press "go" to open my game nothing happens, could you possibly know the error that's occurring, thanks!

Have you tried right clicking on your game.exe and going to "open with" to ensure it's trying to open the file with wine?

Yes, I'm sure that I'm using wine since the exact window from step 4 pops up for me, exact when I select my file & press go it appears that nothing happens

Where did you put your wine files folder?

I am trying to open the game, but it keeps saying "failed to initialize direct x audio". What do I do? I also have a Mac.

are we able to make this game work on MAC OS sierra 10.12.6 ??????????????

 

i have only just come across this game/web site 

 

i downloaded the game------ "mirror 1" file but there are mirror 2,3,4 as well do you have to download those as well??

 

also the wine site won't let me use wine 1.8 it only lets me go to 1.83  

 

i can't make anything work.......................    any help cheers jak

hey @Tacos i'm kind of lost

 

I downloaded the new stable version of Wine (2.0.2) which is fine and great, but now every time I go to run Game.exe (the Reborn) file in Wine, it doesn't pick up on my game.rxdata file... it makes me start a new playthrough. I don't get it.

 

what am I doing wrong?

I'll understand if this needs to get moved, but I'm having some difficulty.

 

I'm currently playing Rejuvenation on Mac. I've downloaded the current stable version of Wine. I'm on Patch 10.

I just got a new computer (also Mac), and am trying to move my save file. However, when I go to my Rejuvenation folder, I am not finding game.rxdata.

I also am trying to find the Wine Files folder. I'm going to Finder > Go > Go to Folder > ~/Wine Files/drive_c/users/Name/Saved Games/Pokemon Rejuvenation

Nothing relevant seems to be coming up. It brings up the basic name for the Mac, but doesn't direct me to anything specific about the Wine Files. When I search for just ~/Wine Files/, it brings me to the same place. When I open the game on the old Mac, it does open with my save file. I'm just not sure where to find it at this point. Please help! Thx!

@Tacos Sorry for reviving an old thread, but this seems to be the main thread about Macs. Have you considered showing how to play on wineskin? In my experience, it's a little less laggy, and I find it more simple as all the files are in one place.

I'm sorry to say this, but when you play Reborn on the Mac, it is infinitely more laggy. Much of this is because Reborn is not designed for Macs. It would be almost unplayable if it weren't for Wine. In order to help make the process more smooth, I like keeping animations off. This helps prevent the Mac version from crashing.
