Paragon and Renegade Routes

Hello, Old player here returning to play 13.5...

 

I don't really understand when I read in the forum 'Renegade or Paragon' route. Can someone please explain to me what each means and how to achieve them? Thanks in advance!

Paragon is the good route. You just play the game normally and keep good relationships with the characters. Doing side quests and making certain decisions can up your karma. the more karma you have, the better.

 

Renegade is the bad route. You have to do specific things to add up to your 'bad ending calc'. Most of it involves having ow karma, bad relationships with characters, not helping amber in valor, not saving the rifts, exposing Flora, etc. You'll know when you met the requirements when you see a pink box during the player's dream sequence in Chapter 15 (you'll know it when you see it)

But if I choose the Renegade route, does the game ends much quicker? I mean does it get a conclusive ending?

Probably? The devs have talked about the Renegade route not having a post-game due to the nature of the route.

actively choosing to Destroy Everything, The route will end with the world ending, No Postgame cause Nothing Exists anymore

Tbh i slightly remember Paragon route ending on like a week or so of the Xen raid i think?
Renegade route ends 2 days before the Xen Raid
