Z.. Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Since Intense mode is getting removed in V13.5 I decided to do a run of this mode before it is gone. So as the title says what's the best/good starter for intense.
pizzagod13 Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Probably gonna misspell these, cause names are hard, but here goes... scorbunny (libero), frokie (protean) or torchick (speed boost) are probably the best choices. Cinderace and Greninja with libero/protean are very good, fast and versatile. Speedboost Blazikan is just broken, you just set up and go to town.

Gastronely Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Considering you can breed a new Snivy as early as Sheridan Village, you can simply wait until it's level 43 to get Leaf Storm. Contrary Serperior is not only stupidly broken, but stupidly early, too

Always having grass do 1.5x extra damage is amazing. It also makes some fire do more, which is an added bonus. The healing part of the terrain usually won't matter but who cares about that anyway?
sharqking Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 You can make a pretty good case for most of the starters. I like Litten and Grookey as their abilities are always useful throughout the run, but Scor, Snivy and Froak are really good sweepers once you get to the late game. And Baton Pass Torchic is also very good.
