Spoiler

Espeon's Future Sight can give you a clue.

Also, it seems like those rooms where you get the Eeveelutions look pretty small compared to the outer structure, wouldn't you say?

Thanks! finally figured it out

As for the rooms, they probably look smaller because there are multiple rooms in each outer structure

What do you mean 'future sight gives you a clue'? I've clicked on every pile of glass (made them go deep purple), used the arrow keys in every possible direction on every single glass pile and none of them move. Perhaps I should go out and buy a sledgehammer.

It's hard to see, but Future Sight shows a different window broken than the one that you broke before.

It seems to me the 'future sight vision' could do with being shown for a little longer. Or maybe have the option to keep it shown until the player clicks off it. Especially for the slow witted like me.

Yeah I completely agree. For the longest time I didn't really understand what Future Sight did, it was only after I got into the room and used it again that I realized what it was showing me.

Spoiler

The glass has to have enough space to move. If there's an open space where the glass blocks can be shifted then you can only shift the glass there. Anywhere else won't work. When you reach Espeon first, there's a glass block that is automatically moved for you. Try moving that and you'll understand how it works.
