Yeah Really far ahead Anyway onto today's update Alola Reborn part 26: Compulsive Base Raiding Spoiler Well supposedly I'm meeting Hardy and others here to go to the city where Charlotte has her gym. Ladies and Gentlemen Hardy One of the top 2 gym leaders of Reborn. Call upon the legends! ....... What do you mean no one has any? He's right The field weakens Fire type moves. Hold *u wot m8? And here we are. Charge! ................ Ow ......... Sister tsundere... ..... I can see the fanfics. I swear if this is Meteor attacking us......... ....... I take it back. Give me ten waves of Meteor grunts with no healing. What's with your sudden concern for human life? WOULD IT KILL YOU TO HIT THEM AWAY FROM US!? Oh that sounds fun. Sure you are. ......... Yes She's right you know. I said this before, and I'll say it again. I like how the grunts in Meteor aren't just faceless... grunts... They each have their own motive, whether it pure or tainted, but they all have a valid reason for why they joined. Most join because they used to be in the slums and were promised a better world. Some want to protect what they have. And other want to make sure when the new world is born they are at the top. And right here is an example of two ideologies conflicting. I mean.. ..... You wanna bet on the winner? .......... No No no no SIRIUS BACK THE F*CK UP! That doesn't sound good. ..... Now Pokedex entries are famous for having their legitimacy being questioned So... ...... One being hidden where ever Radomus is and the other protected by Titania. So the odds of them getting those are low. I really need to find a replacement for Archeops. This is supposed to be a run with only Gen 7 mons, but I've had this guy on since the beginning. I guess mainly because of his speed. Everything in Alola is either stupidly slow or hilariously frail. Ok This shifted my opinion of Charlotte from a character I liked to one I am now kinda iffy on. Because she's talking about the fire that KILLED HER PARENTS that she presumably started. So I'm worried she's taking more from Saphira than Laura. Starting with this with Poison Jab and Stone Edge Well Halley got some damage in. Begin strategy: Throw Rocks! Not gonna lie Olivia is here to distract the AI from Archeops. Volcarona avoided Rock Slide and Delphox fell to Darkest Lariat Revived Halley Aaand throw rocks. She also had a Ninetails that I apparently forgot to take a screenshot of, but you can guess what happened to it. Nice Tm. And that is where I will end things off for today. The Lumi gets sick with the same sickness that claimed her mother. So Eve sets to work on the first ever PULSE. It was a device meant to hopefully cure Lumi. Except Team Meteor found out about it and sent one of their agents, Zero. Zero holds Lumi hostage and forces Eve to make PULSEs for Meteor. But one day something goes horribly wrong. I'll let Lumi tell it. Yep. This is ZEL's origin. A girl trying to save her younger sister ending up creating a machine that fuse 3 consciences into one body. Eve and Lumi's bodies remain. Honestly don't know what happened to them. I'm guessing Meteor has them stored some place? Something that will help us find Heather in 3.. 2.. 1.. bingo ....... Deception 100 Then why was it unlocked? Lies ........ I think this is the first time anyone has pointed out that I'm just casually traveling with gym leaders. ......... I think we found Blake. So Heather. Ok skipping this because again, I'm already gonna fite this image limit. Fast forward to Blake. Lies! By the way. Blake doesn't really need much description. He's basically Ice type Fern. ...... Huh I actually like that he drops the pretense and just goes for what we all know. I can live with this. Here's the thing. He will actually give you the TM. Which is what I did in my first run. Mainly due to being tired at the time and not wanting to deal with getting it later. But not thing time. I know what's at stake. The shiny charm and relationship points with Shade. ...... That's fair And after this he spends another 60+ images explaining Meteor's plan to starve the city and how Heather feeding people was preventing mass starvation. And he doesn't really care for Meteor, he just wants a place in the aftermath. So Ice type Fern. And he ends with this. But first we need to go outside for some reason. ........ Is that Cal? ....... Blake looks like a ripoff Super Saiyan Blue. This is Cal. ........ Right Cal blames himself for how Shelly is because of something he did before. Oh right The fact that Shelly is supposed to be Bugsy's little sister And she feels inferior to him for some reason ...... Who feels inferior to Bugsy? Seriously. I like this about Cal. He doesn't try for redemption. He doesn't forgive himself. He's just doing what is right simply because it is. ....... Shelly Asking the important questions since whichever Episode she was introduced in. Also why I like Cal I heavily relate to his sibling rivalry pushing him to do crazy things. Maybe not to the extent of joining a terrorist group, but I can understand the need to have some form of superiority over a sibling who mocks you. ........ You ruined it Cal. You were so close to having a good speech then you threw that in. Oh that's great. Helicopters. Fun. Oh right. Heather is an E4 member. Flying type specialist iirc. Along with El and now Bennett. Originally her mother was an E4, but Heather won the position. Though given Heather got it by using her mother's pokemon I'm questioning Heather's actual skill as a trainer given how much she gets kidnapped. There's no confirmation who the 4th E4 member is, though Anna is suspected to be the final one. Apparently Shade recommended Noel for a gym leader and Anna to an unknown position in the league. So it's looking to be Anna. .......... I I just explained this Why do you do this to me? Do we? Convenience everywhere this update. ............... He's nowhere near my top 5. (Saphira, Fern, Titania, Sigmund, El) He's just rude. He hasn't really done anything too too evil compared to the others. Ame has hired 3 active Meteor agents (Corey, Cal, and Terra) 4 counting Bennett, but I put him more as an associate than a member. And she's hired.... 3 minors for an E4 position (Heather, Laura, and Bennett) possibly 4 if Anna is the fourth E4 and an over religious zealot. As the Nuzlocke forums are on zeta boards they have an 75 image limit. And you don't upload your images directly onto the site, you upload to a site like Imgur and post the link here. Reborn forums has no restrictions and you can upload as many images as you like with Imgur. I think. Alola Reborn part 29: Let it go Spoiler .......... Well that's nice. So looking around you find two key piece that somehow fuse to make a working key. The key then unlocks a cabinet which gives you a cord to power a computer Look around a little more you find a CD which then makes it so then you need to enter a number combo into the computer You find the numbers on the plant pots and in some books lying around Put in the numbers and this happens Oh right Last time we saw her Heather was mute. I'm still sure that somehow she would respond. We then get a cut scene of Heather blaming all her problems on people who are either evil or dead. Until And after this she hears Shelly calling for her And a joke I love I love this joke way too much. I still don't know how there's enough room in there for a Salamence. Also in case you're wondering why she didn't use the Salamence in the first place, she did, but failed. Not sure how. Seriously she's an E4, that thing should be able to Mega evolve. And those obligated by your father's dying wish. I think Cal's mistakes are a bit more extreme than Heather's. Just saying. ....... I kind of needed that path. ..... I see a ladder Yep Welcome to the Glitch field. In a nutshell it's Gen 1 mechanics. It's a fun field. Fairy, Steel, and Dark deal normal damage as they don't exist yet, but they still have the same weaknesses/resistances/immunities So the field reverses the Physical/Special split. Also Special Defense and Special Attack are the same stat like Gen 1. They tend to favor the higher stat. Which brings me to who will carry me through Terra: Do-S Look at that special defense. That's now also its Special Attack. Along with Surf... Things will be fun. Ok what else.... Psychic types are now immune to Ghost type moves Dragon type moves always deal neutral damage Poison types are now weak to Bug type moves Fire types no longer resist Ice type moves Bug types are now weak to Poison type moves You have a higher chance to crit if you have a higher speed And Psychic type moves are boosted on this field with the message "Too OP plz nerf" There's one other thing, but I'll get to it during Terra's battle. Oh cool. This is Reborn's Grand Hall. While Terra isn't a fan favorite, you can't deny that this area is really well done. All of this redone in a Gen 1 style looks really cool. This is possibly my favorite area in the game. Found stairs Team Rocket HQ? ...... Red? ....... I miss "......" Sassy signs ..... What's this? OH! It's the wasteland! Very nice. I'm guessing it looked like this before it became the wasteland. ........ Ignoring that. Let's see what the book has to say. ......... Ummm This is unusual ... This isn't Terra.. Wait Is this the girl from that area where we found Adrienn? IS THAT WHAT THIS IS?! Ooooh that's a good thing to think about. YEAH! SEE! THIS IS THAT AREA! THE ONE BEHIND THE GATE! Because that Also that This is after around ten turns of me desperately Poison Jabbing hoping to poison while setting up Toxic Spikes while healing while Terra heals and Scalds. But this is why I have Merciless. Great. Another one of these. .... Complaints. I have them. ..... Aw .... But can I just say it would've been amazing if I solo'd her with Do-S? I can understand E18 taking priority over everything. We've been waiting for some story and the time was now. But don't be mad at GG. Because that void was very very interesting, and I actually wish I could've spent more time in there. I actually found that puzzle really hard and took me a while. The battle required a bunch of Para hax with Discharge, but I beat it. I forget if it took me multiple tries to beat it in my main save, but hey first try here! We need Julia in this game. It would be almost unbearable if we didn't have her Alola Reborn part 33: Mega Acrobatics Spoiler Time to face Ciel. And then fly to Reborn City. ....... It's been a while. It'll be nice to be back. Spoiler @Angelkitsune I've already finished all the gameplay for this run now. I finished about a month before E18 was released. That Altaria is ridiculous when you're not expecting it. Knowing the Circus trio, probably. I am wondering how Terra's gonna be freed from the virtual world though. Someone might have to beat her game.I regret everything and nothing Today I finally return to Reborn City, and it is amazing. Unfortunately Meteor is still here. Gotta deal with this first. I'm sure this'll be of no difficulty what-so-ever. Alola Reborn part 34 Alola Reborn Reborn Spoiler Time to go back to Reborn City. Been a while, it'll be nice to be back. Now When I first saw this I immediately just ran around the city looking at everything. But as everyone who's reading this has, probably, seen the city, I won't bother with screenshots and get to the story. Even though I love this so much. ...... How long have they been looking for me? Would now be a good time to mention how Laura has no recollection of resigning. And how we know that, 1. El, who is in the E4, is with Meteor And 2. That Bennett worked with El and Meteor to get the position No? Ok then. Ok On this team We have 5th highest gym leader Head of the nightclub, who presumably is very powerful given the things he's gotten a hold of And Victoria You see who might be the odd one out? I've had 2 maybe 3 actual conversations with Arclight, but alright. I think I can guess where he is. Fangirls They shall be the death of us all. I think this is the first time someone has acknowledged that everything is Meteor's fault. Adrienn'll be easy. Probably at xyr's gym yep I think this is when Adrienn officially became my favorite character in Reborn. Some don't like xem, and I'm not sure why. What's not to like about xem Seriously xe finds out that xe's been frozen in time for 10 years and xe immediately gets to work on repairing Reborn and makes it a beautiful city while we're gone. Also after having to deal with Titania I'm more than happy to talk with the friendly neighborhood non-binary pacifist. That leaves Victoria. .... She in Apophyll? ..... Wait. Isn't there a cemetery in Beryl? Yep. Quick note, the guy on the right is Simon. Remember him? Meteor grunt from a long while back. You talk to him, he tells he joined Meteor because he lost his wife and Solaris claimed she could be brought back Simon then fell for Tara, and felt like he was being unfaithful to his deceased wife. And then Saphira went HAM on the grunts back in the grove and he lost the one he loved again He pops up again in his home in Peridot, and there's a sidequest thing there, but I'm sticking to the main story. Mainly because the sidequest involves fishing Whiscash to find Tara's ID because if you dive you find a grunt corpse with no tag and you have to fish to find it. Turns out Simon and Tara might have been blood related. And after that Simon is MIA, and is nowhere to be found in E18. But back to the plot. And this is where I feel as though Victoria is resentful towards the PC for living. We've almost died countless times, yet here we are without a scratch. Meanwhile.... Kiki .... Yeah .............. That That means a lot to me. I've gone through a lot of sh!t saving everyone and having to deal with Titania, Fern, and other various bs, and no one's really expressed gratitude or care for the PC beyond a quick "thanks" But anyway, back to the story. Whiiiich reminds me. You can get an item called a corrupted pokeball which gives you a Ralts It's speculated to by the former Fairy leader's Devonam i cool now? ........ And you never figured this out before because........? How have you never been in contact with Devon before this? ........... great ..... This is a trap isn't it? Someone here is gonna die. Victoria wasn't the problem, it only took two tries. Arclight though.... Today I guest star in a Saw knock off. Only thing missing is a doll on a bike. Reply Spoiler @Angelkitsune It's ok Sandslash has a decent Attack and a very good speed with Slush Rush. It's at Sandslash's moveset where things start to go down hill. Frankly the Fairy Tale field under the mist one seems like an intentional design flaw.
