In seriousness I reiterate- it's silly. The anime and sometimes even the games emphasize that Pokemon are friends and partners, not just tools for trainers to use to fight each other. They've completely missed the point of the series and it took them almost 7 years to do so. Part of me is convinced they're just trolling. Quote
