Where is the fishable dirty water in Peridot Ward?

I'm trying to pick up Grimer before the first gym. I know that Grimer appears in polluted water in Peridot Ward. I just can't find the section of water that I can fish in, since I can't just drop a line over the side of the city.

Err... I think you can? Have you tried facing the lake just next to the fisherman's house, then using the Old Rod in your bag?

all you need is an Area that doesn't separate the block you're standing on and the water, then you can fish. like somewhere next to the fisherman's house

I always fish outside of place where you get the Old Rod.

You need to be in Coral Ward to gain access to that. So no Grimer before the first gym for you I'm afraid.
