EHSRU66
So, once we enter Darchlight woods and enter the Bladestar base, we are presented with a wide array of paths to follow. The player can: (marked as spoiler because plot I guess?) Spoiler Go with Florin and snitch on Flora, or not. Go with Erin, and the same, but choose to or not to talk about details in front of Cassandra, or Go with Flora, betray her or join Bladestar (unwillingly). These decisions change what gym leader we face and what happens in GDC; and will most definitely play a role in what happens in the next update, so I'm wondering what people think the right path is. For such an example, I'm playing intense and Florin supposbly has a Shaymin, yet Flora had no changes; is this an indication that we are suppose to face him? seki108
Storywise, I feel like Erin's would be the most 'canon' since it has the most neutral end, with you not getting the same info you would have gotten going with Florin (where he imiediately starts telling you Bladestar is the worst/the mayor is the best before finding out that Bladestar directly did the train indecent expecting civilian casualties---which helps his first point) or Flora (who probably defends her actions with other facts and probably rightly accuses the mayor---still have yet to see this one). Erin's whole point about getting the full picture and then deciding for yourself what to do just feels like the it would be the 'correct/canon' path, at least in terms of neutrality

I've just gotten a bit skiddish because Spoiler Of what Jan's episode 10 preview was, simply a screen that says, "game over", which, given the amount of effort I've given my save files (I have 3), gives me the heeby geebies. Which I have a bad feeling relates to choosing the wrong path and such.
Swampellow
I haven't done Erins path, however something i do keep in mind when regarding anything related to Cassandra is the hair cut help request all the way back in Gearen City. The mother mentions how Cassandra (paraphrasing) basically forces stuff to be run in a certain way, which leads me to believe that helping bladestar may be the best option, we will have to see tho. HOWDOIDELETETHISACCOUNT
I followed Flora's path, and while that one is my personal favorite I think Erin's route would be the most "correct" out of them all. It's completely neutral, and seeing how both sides of the party (Cassandra and Bladestar) are both pretty bad in their own rights, I would say not taking sides is the best. Interestingly enough, when you are making the decision of which character to travel through Darchlight Cave with, they have you go in a specific direction. Choosing Florin leads you left and Flora's goes to the right, but Erin's is literally in the middle. No idea if this was intentional or not, but it was a cool mini-detail :P. Global Mods Dreamy Posted August 29, 2017 Global Mods Share Posted August 29, 2017 (edited) I wanted to choose Erins path for the reasons above, but I was annoyed that you didn't get a choice as to whether or not Flora was turned in, even if you didn't share extra details with Cassandra. I chose Flora's path because it maintains the current balance between the two sides, and gets me the most information about both to make a more informed decision in the future. I like that it doesn't force you into being fully on-board with bladestar either you still kind of end up with Erin, which I like because I want to work with her to investigate this. In that respect, I think it would be really good if you could go with Erin, then decide not to turn Flora in on that path. FairFamily
I think we all aggree that both sides are not favorable to join. However I'm not sure of the path of neutrality. Well the path of neutrality might end you getting crushed between the two opposing forces. In this case you allow both side to amass more power which ends in a city ruining conflict which might be what Team Xen wants considering the way Team Xen handled Blacksteeple castle. It wouldn't surprise that Bladestar could steal the rift matter only because Team Xen allowed it. Also if you try to interfere in that conflict you they might team up on you. So it might be interesting to side with one side , use it to crush the other side quickly while at the same time working to betray the side you just joined. Like Erin is doing if you joined team bladestar. So that leaves siding with Cassandra and Flora. Both sides have their pro's and cons, Flora has not as much power as cassandra but I feel her power base is more stable/loyal. Cassandra has a broader support but can it lose it easier. Team Xen can easily let her fall and she can lose the support of the city easily if it is found out she has ties with Team Xen. Personally I would rather side with Team bladestar because the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Siding with Team Xen (through cassandra) just leaves with less room to move.
