I think my issue here is that this is the least lore friendly fan fiction I've read in a while, and I've seen some serious lore breaking stuff. To elaborate, the Pokedex entries say nothing about any of this.

@tartar Yeah, it is mentioned a bit further than the part i screenshotted, that Gardevoirs become infatuated with their trainers, thats why such a bond is developed. I hope you are famillier with Yuno Gasai from Future Diary manga It's a similar situation.

@Alistair Admittedly, this fic has the most errors i have encountered in a fic. I'm slowly getting used to ignore them

@combat medic I guess this is why i like it so much. It uses the concept we know and love as a base, to create something different.

Yeah know that thing about edginess? While I dislike calling something too edgy...this sort of fits into that very well. "Face sunken like that of a heroin addict" is a terrible simile too, as it totally breaks immersion and sounds more comical than anything.
