If I had to, I'd say Gohan(Most likely Kid Gohan.) I mean, not only was he originally MENT to take over the series until fanboys raged, but he's achieved more than enough in his own right.

Of course. Teen Gohan seemed like his 'prime,' but bringing Goku back for fanboys made Gohan have to be lesser that he could've been, while Kid Gohan(Specifically Cell saga) took charge the second he turned SS and dared to knock everyone down.
