based on the latest preview it looks like ash will interact with all the starters. Maybe he'll get them all. (which I predict Will happen).

That's my biggest wonder. What the hell is going on in Johto and Hoenn? Almost all of Ash's friends either go to Johto or Hoenn, and we don't really know why. Is there some sort of grand event going on in those two places? Maybe when they say "It all comes together," we might get some closure and have some connections.

She's still in the friendzone though, Ash didn't really indicate that he shares any feelings towards her

Also, I think the starters might not get caught by anyone.. and I've seen a lot of previews and screenshots where Lana holds Popplio

but it does seem likely that ash could get Rowlett. Im just wondering what his team would be if he doesn't have all the starters. I would really enjoy it if he had a wishy-washy.

To me it looks like Ash gets Litten and Rowlett. At the very least Rowlett based on trailers. Which make sense for his personality imo.
