BlackMage Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 So guys, my pokemon were just in the early 50s (around 50-52) and my Gardevoir was lv.48 but despite that I defeated Samson on first try. Are my pokemon too underleveled to go ahead in the storyline? Should I train them more? If I have to, where do I train them since Agate City is blocked so I can't challenge the rebattle-able trainers in the Grand Hall. Quote
personmanthing Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 If you can get past Luna with a team of Pokemon in the early 50s, then you should be fine. Just go ahead in the story and your Pokemon should catch up in levels very quickly due to them being at such low levels. Quote
Taska Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I think you should level up your pokemon. There are going to be some really hard double battles later on so it would be wise to level up your pokemon to level 60-65 before proceeding. There is a clown with level 60s pokemon that you can rebattle indefinitely. Quote
Imperial Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 You would better train in the Grand Hall, that clown is really strong even with several levels more (his Flygon outspeed mine which had several levels more and is EV train...) and has random pokemons so you can really prepare. With a lvl 50 team you'll probably have some hard time Quote

Darvan Korematsu Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Well their level cap at that point should be 70 or so. Compared to what you will be facing coming up in the next few Gyms, they really need a level up. Quote
SkyRunner Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Pink packs a punch, and a ton of experience! Quote
BlueMoonIceCream Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Would it not be easier to grind a little later when you are doing double battles on route 3? Quote
BlackMage Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Whoops sorry guys I meant 60-61 not 50-51 I was kinda sleepy . Quote
nsbwinner2 Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 IDK i had a bit of trouble with samson at the same levels that you wrecked him. I did have to grind Quote
Vinny Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Do train because the battle at the top of Ametrine in the future is really annoying. And of course, have good team synergy for the future! As everyone already said though, your best bet is the clown in the Circus. Not much else other than that. Quote
Monochrome_Complex Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Due to the Big Top field(ugh) Samson is like the biggest luck-based gym leader in the game. Sometimes he can be not too bad, Other times he creams you. Big Top field is like my least favorite field though. The concept is clever but pokemon already is luck based enough, any field that pushes the luck factor even more usually ends up being annoying. Quote
bepe Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I'd say Serra is a bit more luck based, and samson's field provides weakness for him, such as full power acrobatics. Quote
