I have nothing against getting used to the map, but as an example, having to go across the slums for like 5 times just to get some sidequsts etc was really one of the most frustrating things I experienced in this game for now.

OOF, that's not supposed to happen. You only have to travel through the slums once, because a path opens to the East of the Slums after meeting Amaria in the Coral Ward. You generally don't have to have THAT much trouble backtracking.

Playing Desolation while waiting for the E19 final release sounds like a good idea!

  2. 1) Yes, the last update to the game, Episode 19 (which has been in development for 3 and a half years) is currently in beta testing! It will add the end of the story and the postgame. You can find the dev blog here on this site! The devs have said that a lot of stuff in the game is going to be changed in E19 besides the new content, including many QoL changes to make the game a lot less tedious; so it is recommended to start a new playthrough when it is released. Still, if you want, you can play upto the end of the current version and continue with this save directly into the new content of E19.

And of course you can do both, like many of us. Start a new save for E19, and complete E19 on your earlier save too (not necessarily in that order).

EDIT: Saw the latest dev blog post, the community release (open beta) is expected next weekend and the actual public release some time in May. So keep that in mind while deciding.

    2) The money in early game is indeed supposed to be tight, and yes there is a lot of running around, but it helps immersion by making you familiar with the city IMO.

    3) All such fights are for sidequests (except one or two but spoilers). In general, if they are unlocked, they are beatable, but of course not all of them will be beatable for all teams, and you can always come back later when you are stronger.

A tip I would like to give is to explore as much as you can. I feel like 25% of the areas in this game are optional, and every area you see has a purpose. It can actually make the game significantly less hard for you, since many of the powerful items, TMs and Pokemon are found in very discreet locations

  3. I would recommend Mienshao (found on Routes 2 and 3) which learns Fake Out and Wide Guard, and/or Conkeldurr (given for puzzle in Agate Circus) which learns Wide Guard and Rock Slide. You can set up Trick Room spam Rock moves with Rhydon and Conkeldurr

Okay, there seems to have been a miscommunication. The first time that this issue happened, I had already completed all of the story content in Ametrine city, returned to the circus, and had the conversation that led to Tara jumping into the glitch world. After Samson says to talk to him when I'm ready to go into the glitch world, he and the other circus gym leader vanished, and that is where I wasn't able to progress. In order to make sure that I hadn't done something to screw up the cut scene, because I accidentally sequence broke and went to the water treatment plant on the way back to the circus, I deleted the game save, renamed one of my backups from before I did any of the story content in Ametrine City per the instructions on how to use the backup saves, and then started playing from that point. That is when I encountered the same issue, the map apparently not updating after the cutscene so that I could interact with the things I was supposed to be able to interact with, except that instead of it happening at the circus, it happened in the room with Shelly. I'm not trying to get into glitch world at the moment, because I'm trying to make sure that I didn't break something on the way back to the circus the first time I played through this part.

Oh that sounds like an issue. See if it happens again when you get here. If it does, your save file would probably need fixing

  5. Just reminding you that the Glitch World is not supposed to be accessible right now. You have to rescue Heather, go to the peak of Ametrine Mountain, fight Blake; then Cal tells you about Terra and then you go back to the Circus and into the Glitch World.

About the puzzle in Blake's apartment, if you refused to give the Ruby Ring to Blake, after talking to Shelly you have to get out of the building for a cutscene with Cal and Shelly, and then you can go back to the apartment and do the puzzle

  6. Yeah you can get the other one after the 15th badge from the hiker that gives you the Onix, but only if you did do that quest. He will be standing outside in Lower Peridot Ward (might need daytime and non-raining weather too)

  7. I know nothing about teambuilding myself, but I'd say:

    - replace Weepinbell with Tangela because there is a reason it's 6 levels behind the rest of the team

    - replace Noibat with Granbull since Noibat is too weak at this point and Granbull gives you Intimidate

  8. There is a working link for it in the pinned messages in the #reborn-mods channel on the Discord.

As is mentioned in the post linked above by TheRK9, the creator of this mod is unable to update it anymore, and the current version has some known freezing/crashing issues, so be warned

There's a mod that moves your savegame folder to the game's location - delete that mod and you should have your save file back.
This is why you should have read the readme file.

  10. The move Trick Room actually has a priority of -7, so you can't set it up before the opponents attack. You could use other methods though. One method I can think of is to lead with your TR setter and a Beartic (can find it in Ametrine Mountain). Give the Beartic a Mystic Water or Splash Plate if you have it. On Turn 1 you use Aqua Jet with Beartic (learns it via Move Reminder) on the Typhlosion to weaken Eruption so both your mons survive, Darmanitan will attack Beartic to KO it, you can set up TR with the other mon.

Also for a Trick Room setter, you can get relatively high level Audino in Route 4 if you don't want to train your Lunatone

Edit: There's of course Fake Out and Wide Guard too as the others mentioned. I was just trying to think of a method that ensures Darmanitan does not target the TR setter

  11.  @Marius Ok I have checked, you can get all of Tepig, Squirtle and Chikorita right after the 7th gym (and no earlier). 1 of each Fire, Water and Grass :)

    Spoiler

chikorita is there as well on azurine island for showing a chimecheo which u can get just after Aya no?

I actually referred to your Pokemon location guide for Chikorita because I wasn't sure, it said after 7th gym badge, so I thought it was after Noel lol

I've always thought that the voice after Hardy was just Ame(IRL one) breaking the fourth wall and having a bit of fun(I suppose that does mean that there is a higher power than Lin; the Dev's).

Nah, that voice is definitely the same as the one from Citae Astrae, the Void and the diary in the Glitch World. They all use only lower case letters and begin with something like 'hee hee... this is fun...'

I read somewhere that the voice's event in the Void is labelled something like 'BabyArceusTeaser', but the diary in the Glitch World also refers to baby Arceus in the third person ("it's all thanks to baby arceus", "i'm going to make sure i repay him"), so the theory was that the voice was child Lin, and she has been orchestrating things along with baby Arceus

But in the Dangan Reborn thread, the voice is a different entity (Third) separate from child Lin, so there might be someone even above Lin who is making Lin do what she is doing

All tasks and threats have to be solved by high ranked League Representatives or some random 10-year olds from who-knows-where.

If you are talking about this game, the Reborn MC is above 18 (that's why Connal lets you go)

Splitting up completely while two entire Wards are covered in wild and powerful vines of unknown origin?

They split up to rescue the citizens. The population you see in Jasper and Beryl after restoration are the people that survived because of the Police's efforts

  13. Very nicely pieced together, except one thing: there is nothing to suggest that Shade and the taciturn-woman-in-black-and-red is Euphie. The name is found in a diary of Ame's, and there is no way for Ame to know Shade's name from a different timeline or whatever. Instead, Euphie might well be the Fairy reserve leader who went missing

this post of the original timeline

that was more like an AU that Ame started writing for fun

And there's another thing worth noting in that thread. The voice that wants to "keep playing for a long long time" is actually separate from Lin, which means in the game there might be a force higher than Lin, that's helping the player as mentioned in the E19 teaser (the text that appears when exiting Hardy's gym)

  14. Keep it where it is in the last screenshot, that's where it is kept on installation and where it should be.

As I said above, you have to install the fonts after that too. Select the four files inside the Fonts folder (pkmnem.ttf, pkmnemn.ttf, pkmnems.ttf and pokemonemerald.ttf), right-click, choose Install.

  15. You have to put the "Fonts" folder (containing the files pkmnem.ttf, pkmnemn.ttf, pkmnems.ttf and pokemonemerald.ttf) back into the Reborn18.4.1 folder, and if the fonts are installed, you should be good. (To install the fonts, select the four files mentioned above, right-click, choose Install. You can install fonts only if you have admin access.)

  16. For Saphira, I think her mons need to be Dragon type in their base form as in all other Gym battles, so Charizard and Ampharos would be illegal. And since Altaria, Garchomp and Salamence are already taken by others, I would suggest she might not have a Mega but a Z-Move on her team, like Amaria. Perhaps Clangorous Soulblaze since it is also a sound-based move.

I think she'll have Corey's Crobat since its the only one of his Pokemon we can't catch.

I realized this just a few days ago lol, was surprised no one else on the forums mentioned it.

For Lin, Gardevoir is definitely possible, it could be a Trick Room setter, which would be especially useful for Victini and V-Create, though I am sure Lin will not have Victini when she already has Arceus. There is also Naganadel if Air Balloon makes you non-grounded

Edit: This is supposed to be a meme, I just thought it was accurate, because surely the quoted statements were made only to incite an argument? Apologies if it came across as a personal comment

  18. It can be done using a developer tool called Debug Mode.

Though I assume you want to do this because you are using someone else's completed savefile (I saw the other thread) but want it personalized, in which case, might I suggest just starting a new save for E19 instead? If you have read the devblog posts, you know the experience of the game is changing quite a bit

The house battle has people using their pokemon to directly attack too. Sirius has his seviper poison fang Flobot and julia has her electrode attack Sirius in return. Also Amaria has Lapras attack the grunts to clear a way for you in Blackstream.

Of course we can't forget the Torkoal in the beginning and Lin vs Ame.

And Sigmund shocking people, Kiki getting garchomp'd, Titania swinging her aegislash, Cal & Heather attacking Blake on the mountain peak, Saphira raiding meteors on the lake and in their base (although off-screen), Sirius' chandelure burning Eclipse..  the list goes on.

Well I was only trying to think of instances where the Pokemon use an actual Pokemon move on a human in the overworld, so yeah there's Seviper using Poison Fang too. But I guess many other instances without explicit move usage are also similar to that, especially Chandelure.

Whatever man, Ame must have thought about all this way more than us. I'm excited to see how stuff goes down

  20. I was thinking more about Blacksteam being the only instance in the game where someone commands their Pokemon to use a 'move' on a human (right?) (Dragon Rush on the player character and Superpower on Amaria). Cuz like if that's possible, a lot of events could happen very differently.

To be clear, I don't actually care about this stuff (making the game more 'logical'), the game makes enough sense to me already.

Of course, we have to make our own interpretations of a lot of stuff in fantasy works. For example, when Gardevoir creates a 'black hole', I think of it is as some advanced Shadow Ball that can send people into the 'shadow realm'.

Anyway, in the latest devblog post, since people are actually taking the 807 number to heart:

    - First of all, 807 is the number of mons in the dex upto Zeraora. That doesn't include Megas, Alolan variants or Formes (e.g., Cherrim has 2 Formes, Lycanroc has 3, Furfrou has 10). The number goes up to 984 including these.

    - Second, all of the above actually have 2 icons instead of 1, which they alternate between on the party screen. Most of them might just go up and down in position, but there are also some like Crobat:

    icon169.png.3e8d0d2361d191b289a8b0a417151799.png

Also the number of eggs for these mons is 364, so that's 364 egg icons, then 364 shiny egg sprites, and then 364 shiny egg icons; even then there are those that have been redone.

So what I'm saying is, Smeargletail actually scores an 11 out of 10 on the madlad scale
