  1. There is a door at the end of that ruin in the desert that leads to Zone Zero, it was where you and Ren were trying to go before you got flung back in time. I imagine it opens up after you get to Zone Zero maybe?

    @fellowry Normal. Didn't want to jump right into Intense as it's my first Rejuvenation run. 

    IDK you might just have to get lucky with Ominous Wind Omniboosts. According to the manual you have a 20% chance for a boost, so if you can get 2-3, you should become pretty strong. You could consider running six Xatu, and try to take advantage of the field, have two or three of them be trained in defense/HP to try and survive the physical attackers, and the rest in special/speed and then just spam Ominous wind to win. Try to get ones with decent IVs if possible. 

     

    Anything else just feels inferior, since you can't take advantage of the field at all. 

     

    EDIT: The move flash removes this field, so you could consider using that and forcing him to fight on an even playing field. You can buy it at the hotel with coins.

    I feel like you might need to set up tbh. Maybe catch another Swobat and train it like speed, sp. def, EVs, make sure it has a special defense increasing nature (and not a speed or special attack lowering one also).  I know its weird, but maybe that will make it bulky enough to set up a few calm minds? Are the rest of your team EV trained and have good natures? Having speed EV's will be a godsend to helping you outspeed. 

     

    Is Xatu still available and does Xatu still learn ominous wind? I know they changed it in Gen 8, but it might still use the Gen 7 learn set if your lucky, natu learns it at 20, in which case, a speed trained Xatu with ominous wind would be pretty good here, you get the boost from the field and if you get lucky you can get the omniboosts also. Natu should learn it at 20, if it doesn't then, that would mean they use gen 8 movesets, in which case your out of luck... 

     

    EDIT: According to the Rejuv wiki it should still learn that, but it could be out of date. Worth a check I suppose!

    EDIT 2: OKAY, I checked and I have a Xatu at 39 that is using the Gen 7 learnset, this save was created in v13, so it should still be the same, meaning Xatu should have ominous wind. According to the wiki you can find Natu in Jeminra Woods, Wispy Ruins and Amethyst Depths. The last two locations are uncommon encounters. 

     

    Other than that not really sure, using fast, speed trained psychic types is your best bet...

    I think it's more probable that the interceptor was good in their world and defeated them. Now their interferences in the interceptor's life in this world, eliminating the Avium league and restoring the vessel!MC's memories, hell even manipulating Kenneth and Taelia to open the grotto is an attempt to nudge the interceptor down their path. Which can be successful.

    Exactly, Clear and Kieran claim to fight for Oblivion, so if the timeline they come from is really a "destroyed shithole", then that would rule them out from being the ones to reset time, after all, destruction is what they claim to want (unless there world was "destroyed" in the wrong way, and they really want it to be nothingness rather than just ruined). 

     

    I do agree with Cyphre that there goal likely has nothing to do with the interceptor, it is just that the interceptor can help or hinder them, so manipulating/observing them makes sense.

     

    However, one thing to mention is that Team Xen stops trying to kill the MC once they learn they are the interceptor, which is interesting. I guess maybe they don't know you can't come back infinite times? Otherwise, them leaving you alone and not trying to stab you or something doesn't really make much sense, I guess they just assumed they would fail? Or maybe, they need the interceptor to exist? 

     

    Another idea in my mind is that the last interceptor lost to them, and the world was destroyed. However, the previous interceptor managed to reset time right before they died (they ran out of lives), which is why a new interceptor (I.E. the Player) was needed... And yes, I do think the interceptor can "lose", just because they choose to save the world, does not mean they will have the info/strength to save the world, they could also make mistakes, or the wrong choices (in fact, the player can do this), and lead the world to ruin despite their efforts. 

     

    Honestly, there is not really enough info to make a definitive conclusion.

     

    The ultimate twist would be that Clear and Kieran are good and are deceiving an Evil Interceptor, but that seems doubtful.

    From what you've described, I don't believe you've made any significant mistakes Karma-wise. 

    1. Ryland is alive and as opposed to other characters such as Florin and Karen, his fate is not dependent on a player option. 
    2. I stopped David from searching for his wife in the Abyss as well. I felt it was the more responsible option as I don't doubt his wife is dead at this point (I believe it was said that it's been a decade since he was found) and that he would have gotten lost himself again. It's not a significant choice though as I don't believe it affects your relationships or karma. 
    3. The relationship points for the illusion Melia/Aelita battle don't seem to be listed in the relationship guide. You gain points with both for losing/seeing through the illusion for sure but I am uncertain about winning/falling for the illusion. I want to say that you do lose points with both characters but if you have enough total with them already it shouldn't affect your karma. 

    Most of the bad Karma/ending choices are the ones that kill (including the 2 rift Pokemon the Weird Diary comes into play with) and most of those choices are straight forward (i.e killing Karen or Karen and Korrina in Zygarde castle). The one hidden death choice is the one resulting in Florin's death which I believe is achieved by partnering with Flora in Darchlight Cave and outing her.
    I believe there only two bad Karma choices that don't result in a character death; declining Tesla when she offers to essentially adopt you and handing over the crystal to Melanie and from what I have gathered, the bad Karma from the latter is unavailable because it has a bug that soft locks the game. 

    Doing the HC quests is one of the most important things to maintaining good Karma as from what I have gathered they can keep it at a good level even when you're being a jerk. 
     

    So don't fret. you're doing fine :)

    You can get Florin killed by going with Flora, joining her, exposing her after the caves, then telling Cassandra everything. You must do all of that if you want him to die.

     

    Also, refusing Tesla's offer does not give you bad ending points, it just makes Tesla not like you. If she doesn't like you, it gives you

    the twenty points for her not liking you (like what, that is the same amount of points for murdering someone!). All the other main cast only give you 5 points each... which again is pretty weird but I digress. 

     

    I am pretty sure that the choice with the David guy (or whatever his name is) and whether you win or lose the illusion battle does not matter. Losing it just has them say they are happy you saw past the illusion, but you don't get any RP for it or anything like that.

    Yeah it is. I did (nearly) ALL The Side Quests and still got the bad ending. To get the bad ending you need to get 100 bad ending, points and that is pretty easy. Having high karma just makes you get less bad ending points from Karma, but there are plenty of other sources for points that this is a non-issue. 

     

    Just be sure to make all the wrong story choices. You can get 85 bad ending points (the hand it over option is bugged so don't pick it, pick try to escape instead!) by making all the bad choices (in fact, one of the bad choices requires you to do all the hidden library quests, so doing them is actually pretty much required). Anyway, I did ALL the help center quests and many other side quests, and ended up with 101 bad ending points, my karma is high but that doesn't matter. 

     

    So just be sure to make all the bad decisions. You can easily secure the other bad ending points you need by answering "..." when Tesla shows you your room, having her not like you gives you twenty, for some reason... This would give 105 in total, so the karma points from the side quests wont matter. You can also instead make three of the main six friends not like you, since they each give 5 points, those being (Amber, Melia, Ren, Aelita, Venam and Erin). Your friendship points with anyone other than those seven does not seem to really matter. This means your free to do ALL the sidequests! 

     

    Specifically the choices that give bad ending points are the following;

    - Don't save Amber in Valor Mountain - 10 points

    - kill rift garb (I am not sure if having the weird diary and just choosing not to use it is required or not, I had it and choose not to use it and that worked, so I would suggest doing the same) - 10 points

    - get Florin killed (go with Flora in the caves, join her, then immediately expose her at the end of the cave, then tell Cassandra everything) - 20 points

    - Choose to try to escape in the ruined present (hand it over is bugged and WILL SOFT LOCK YOU, this makes the 10 points it gives you inaccessible) - 5 points

    - Let Karen be murdered in the labyrinth quest - 10 points

    - Kill Karinna after she kills Karen - 20 points

    - Kill Rift Hippo (once again not sure if having the book and just choosing not to use it is required or not, I personally took the book and choose not to use it and that worked fine) - 10 points

     

    Then you just need to get the other 15 points from somewhere else, which I already detailed above. You might want to consider getting extra points in case you pick wrong by accident or an option is bugged or something, but that is up to you.

  7. So, I was curious as to if the bad ending choice cutscene actually changed anything, so I used a backup save I had to do a bit of digging and I found something pretty weird out about bad ending calc.

    While in the nightmare realm, if you have the 100+ bad ending calc to make the cutscene appear, you will actually gain three bad ending points, (I had 101 at the start, and 104 after talking to them). Loading and early save and checking it after interacting with a cube reveled the truth, that each of the "pink cubes" gives you +1 bad ending calc... for some reason. It doesn't make much sense, as you already have all the points you need if you are seeing the cubes, but it is kind of neat, I guess. 

     

    Also, if you refuse your bad ending calc is set at 99, which means you can LOSE bad ending calc, which is sorta interesting.

    the bad ending points, then you are out of luck. Choose to "try to escape" instead since that is the second worst option. Of course, if you are not trying for the bad ending and want the best result then you should do nothing and wait for the time to run out, this is the ONLY non-bad outcome. 

    As the other commenter mentioned you can fix this by renaming one of your backup saves to Game.rxdata (which will replace your current save file). If this is not your first save then you will want to rename it to Game_#.rxdata where the # is whatever number of save this is

     

    So using my saves as an example,  if I wanted to replace my save for "Sam", I would want to rename one of the files to Game_2.rxdata

    A week passed from when we are teleported from Carotos Mountain back to the moment when we reappear in Shedidan Village, so is it that the teleportation take time because of the distance or the MC was teleported to a place where he didn't have awareness ? Nothing serious, I was just wondering.

    I think Gothitelle is just being a meanie. Pretty sure that is all there is to it. There is some stuff later on in the story that could explain it, but I think it is unrelated? Been a while since I last played so my memory is a bit fuzzy.

    If you just mean how to get AP you just do the challenges that are listed in achievements, such as catching Pokemon or evolving things.  

  11. If you can't use the button to reset the robots or get out the room then you will likely need to load an old save. You can do this by going to the saves folder (there should be a shortcut in the game folder) and then you should see a number of saves. Rename one of the older saves to "Game.rxdata" and you should be good to go. 

     

    IMPORTANT NOTE: If this is a playthrough beyond your first then you will instead need to rename the file "Game_#.rxdata" instead, where the # is whatever number of game you are on (just look at the name of the backup save and it will tell you).

    Fair enough. I usually don't like having two of the same type of move, so I cut the drum move for Wood Hammer. It does the big damage, and most bosses will one/two shot you regardless because of the field effects anyway, so the recoil rarely matters. Not using Acrobatics is understandable, it has been a while since I played, but I am pretty sure that is the move slot I swap around a lot, it just happens to be Acrobatics right now, but it is pretty strong with flying gem. 

  13. Yeah saving the officer is irrelevant. If you save him, he says he is going to go tell the police at the HQ about Vitus, but he either doesn't or the region is destroyed by the storm before that happens (meaning dude probably dies regardless). You actually get RP points with the mother, if you try to save, I think it is Maria(?) there are so many yellow haired girls with similar names it is hard to remember them all lol. 

     

    I have no idea which variable it is honestly, there are like 800+ of them. Probably best not to mess with it for such a minor reason. 

  14. This game is not for casuals my guy, I know it has a casual mode, but it is still not meant for casuals regardless, really it should not even have that mode for this very reason...

     

    It is a hard game, some knowledge of EVs, Natures, and Preferably IVs is VERY helpful to get by. All boss trainers at the point you are at have perfect IV/Evs and good natures. You need to at the very least have done proper EV training to really compete, and to preferably have at the minimum a good nature and decent IVs (perfect is better of course, but that requires a lot of time or cheating to do). EV training is very easy in this game and can be done in like a few minutes per mon, so it is really easy to do and you have basically no reason to not do it lol. 

     

    But yeah, the game is not THAT hard, I play on normal difficulty with Set mode turned on (you do NOT get the option of switching after beating an enemy mon), with no bag items in battle and the game is quite possible even with those hard restrictions, usually boss fights take a rework/full change of my team and then ~8 or so attempts after that to work out a good order/plan with my new team and then I win. All the fights are very doable, and if you are using items/playing on switch mode, then it will be even easier.

     

    First off, the Torterra does that because of its Crest, which are items that do different things for different mons. It has a symbol near its HP that shows it has this. For torterra it inverts it's defensive type chart. You need to use moves that it normally resists, so bring some option to deal with it. 

     

    Second, the field effect does a lot of things, like make ground moves stronger, but it also makes it so that ground types get a 1.5x boost to their special defense, so use physical moves on them if possible, check the field effect manual, which is in the game folder for more details.

     

    Third, try to switch up your team. Bring a bunch of ice types, you can use one that has the snow warning ability (such as the ice cream cone mon) to set up hail, that way he gets hurt by the weather also, and it also makes moves like blizzard always hit (which is still worth using even if special is less effective.) Water types that do not have the move Scald, are really bad here, since they do 50% less damage. Grass types are fine, I think.

     

    Essentially, the most important thing to do in this game is switch up your team for hard battles, look at the field effect manual/the enemy team and build a new team to counter them. It is that simple.

    its definitely possible to complete it on normal set mode, i manage to complete it multiple times in Intense Monotype run(Set Mode and No Item), there are even some crazy guy that manage too complete an Intense Nuzlocke run of this game  (which also Set mode with no item)

    That is pretty much my exact reason for using debug mode. Like why would I spend 2 hours per Pokemon on getting them to max IV/Good nature, when I could instead just spend a few minutes... It's not like it is saving me in game resources or anything, the only cost for breeding is 100 money each time you remove a Pokemon, that is it. You would likely only spend a thousand or so per mon, which can be easily gotten by fighting some breeders or something. Technically there is the nurse that can do it for a disgusting amount of money, but you can just breed for way cheaper, so the point still stands...

  16. You need to go to Rivers Edge (surf down from the route before the town where everyone is xenophobic), then go to the building on that route. That will start the quest, if you can't enter the building then that means that you haven't progressed far enough in the story to do so yet (I don't remember when the event opens up exactly). 

     

    I think the guy then asks you to meet him in Wispy tower, so go there, then complete the puzzles. This will get you a corrupted Pokeball, take that back to the guy and he will ask for a bunch of items to fix it. I don't think you can get most of them until after the 10th gym, but I might be mistaken. Give him the items then the Pokemon inside will run off. Go back to wispy tower and it will be in the grass of one of the rooms at the end.

  17. I don't think you should cheat in inaccessible mons. I only ever play Rejuv on Set mode, no bag items (except for Pokeballs obviously), and have done so multiple times and it was fine without doing that, VERY challenging of course, but fine. (I did cheat to max out IV's but ONLY AFTER breeding was legitimately accessible, I.E. after gym 8, since you get ditto + destiny knot, hence using debug just saved hours of time and did not give me anything that I could not get legit).

     

    But yeah, the game is totally possible on set mode without hacking in OP mons like Honedge. I think doing what you are doing defeats the point of a challenge run, but at the end of the day it is a single player game, so you can do whatever floats your boat. 

  18. Yeah it is pretty good, I used one in my Evil Run that I did for V15. I reseted until it was Adamant nature, and trained in Attack and Speed. After the 8th gym I used breeding (well I cheated using debug, but I had ditto + destiny knot, so I could have breed it and the rest of my mons, it would've just taken ages) to get it to have max IVs. Grassy surge as the ability is really nice since all its grass moves do, I think it is, 1.5x damage? Makes wood hammer hit very hard. 

     

    Definitly one of the best starters, since grassy surge is very strong. I think Cinderace (libero), Greninja (Protean) and Blazikan (speed boost) might all still just be better, but it is still VERY good.
