what offer do you? the  offer of staying with them

Yeah when she shows you your room, if you pick "..." you get minus RP points with her.

    Spoiler

This is the only instance you can gain/lose points with her, so doing that makes her not like you.  If she doesn't like you then you get 20 points toward the bad ending.

  2. I am pretty sure it is just a slight story change/fight Flora instead of Florin, that is it really. It also prevents you from accidently picking the option that gives you bad ending points, since you have to expose her for that to happen.

hey I am new to the forums and wanted to ask what should I run on phione with crest like movesets and evs

100% a defensive + special defense spread and nature to one of them. Choose attack or special attack and have the nature lower the one you don't choose and raise defense or special defense for max value.

    Moves:

    - Scald/Surf (scald is better but you might not have it unless you got all the stamps)

    - Substitute (again you need all the stamps)

    - Dazzling Gleam (coverage option)

    - Filler, you could try whirlpool here for chip damage maybe?

I was playing on a friend's computer I started on the previous version when I did the sewer stuff then he downloaded the new version, I was lost so I wondered around till I found Melia and that was that

Yeah then that is why. The early game got reworked, in V12, you went to the sewers then to route 1, then to gym 1, but in V13, you go into the sewers, then gym 1. So yeah, you probably need to start over...

So after I finished the garbage gang battle, I didn't do the gym I instead went to route 1 and did the Melia story stuff and after getting clapped by the rift gyarados and finishing up that stuff, I searched for route 2 and saw Ren standing outside Venam's Gym. I tried talking to him but I walked through his sprite, so I entered the gym and the first gym trainer said I beat Venam. Confused I continued to route 2 and finished the rift galvantula fight (Venam carried) and I noticed that Ren mentioned the second gym yet I hadn't done the 1st one  so after the depression cutscene, I rushed to the gym was told I beat it yet I don't have the badge, the lvl cap is still 18, and now I'm wondering if there's a way fix the issue without reseting?

Probably not? How did you even get to route 1 and for that matter, route 2, before Venam? That should be impossible! Are you maybe playing on an not updated version or something?

You could load an old save from before you went to route 1, this would at least reduce the amount of resetting you would need to do. You can do this by going into the save shortcut folder, then renaming one of the backup saves to whatever your save file is called, it will need to be renamed to "Game.rxdata" but only if this is your first save, If you have multiple save files then be sure to rename it to whatever number of save file you are on, so I.E. if this is your second save then it would be "Game_2.rxdata" instead. Hope that helps.

Geara coming back probably. He came back as a completely different person and turned 180 for no reason, which was so unnatural and badly done it was like a jolt and took me out of experience very hard.

Yeah I am pretty sure it is implied that when he got blown to bits, the evil spirt thing left him. I agree that it was done poorly, that sort of thing kind of needs an explicit explanation...

As for guns which other people mentioned, they are kind of a pointless weapon when you can instead just using a giant dragon to kill people instead... Not to mention that Pokemon would be considered non-suspicious in public areas while a gun is much more suspicious. In other words a gun is a bit of a pointless weapon to try and use.

And yes, non-shadow pokemon DO attack people. Melia attacks people multiple times with her Pokemon, she doesn't kill them, but you probably COULD.

no no souta sked me to get Melia and Erin back to him and Melia is in Hospital of Hope.

You need to go to Axis High first. The game tells you to find Melia and ERIN, erin is at the northmost part of the city, so go there first.

I was merely attempting to point out a few things that needed some sort of adjustment in case IVs are removed. And yes, I also use like 20 active members in my mono Poison run by the endgame, not to mention retired members & some niche ones, so I know the pain.
I'm not quite sure why you'd want RNG in your Hidden Power when you want it removed from the IVs. I'd think more in a similar system as nature change where you can choose it yourself for a price.

Yeah, there should be a way to change it for sure. But there is no way to have natural hidden powers unless you make it random.

I don't get why letting Karen to die is negative karma points. Karen is definitely a bad charater, who feel no remorse for killing Karrina parents, she acted like "Yeah, i killed your parents, so what? Just get over it".

Because you let someone get murdered, of course that is going to get you bad karma points?! You also get 10 points toward the bad ending, so its not just bad karma.

Just because she did something bad doesn't mean she deserves to die. There is a reason why hero characters like Batman, don't kill, even mass murderers like the Joker.

Edit: saving her is the better option anyway, since you get life orb. Unless of course, you want the bad ending...

Things that come to my mind just on a first thought that would be heavily affected by removing IVs:

    1) Hidden Power - The way it's implemented in Legend Arceus just kills off the point of this otherwise handy move. We'd either need an NPC to set its type for instance if IVs are out of picture.
    2) Trick Room - Yep, there are cases where you don't want perfect IVs. Or at least, there's this one case.

I mean it would not be that hard to change the way hidden power works... if you just make it be a 1/18 chance for each type. Easy fix.

As for trick room? Sure, but it won't matter much in the grand scheme of things, trick room teams use slower pokemon anyway, so a trick room team will (almost) always be "faster" than your Pokemon anyway...

I honestly, think IVs are really annoying, I always just use debug to max out my IVs + Optimize natures, after I get ditto + destiny knot (after 8th gym), because it is a massive edge to have maxed IVs + natures. They are also free to max out, since it costs like a few hundred money per mon, to max out an IV if you use breeding. The only cost is that it wastes a HUGE amount of your time, as in many hours per Pokemon, and in a game like this where your team might be as big as 20+ members (Yes, my Evil run in v13 really had this many members, my fairy mono run I am doing right now has even more), this is a obscene time investment that is just tedious busy work, which is why I cheat to skip it.

Is there any talk on how legendries could/will be implemented?

I feel a lot of the statues are good indicators of where they'll be.

I think getting ho-oh or lugia from the VR Gen 2 battles would be fitting.

Or maybe just Ho-oh and have lugia be a Shadow like in XD.

I know some people don't like legendries but seeing them implemented would still be cool.

(and imo the games hard enough to justify using them)

Well Zygrade is already available granted just in 10% form, which doesn't really count. Phione is also a thing.

As for most other legendries? I doubt we will get ANY (strong ones) until post game, they would just be literally better than any other Pokemon you could ever use.

The only story relevant ones are Arceus (which would be VERY broken, since it would be 100 power STAB and ANY type you want at any time) or Xernes (which would also be very broken because of Geomany + herb, which can be bought in bulk in GDC).

Note: Xernes is story relevant since it has statues in several places, also it is the enemy of Madame X's legendary, so it would be fitting for them to fight.

So yeah, I doubt they will be implemented any time soon. If they are added it will probably be post game content, and I imagine they would just be found in other areas you have been too before, or maybe new sidequests would open up that unlock them.

  12. Well good on you for figuring it out! You might want to go and do all the dive related stuff now, (including one sidequest that gets you the life orb!), since it opens up after badge 13! You might also want to pay a visit to East Gearen city if you have not already... you will find a nice surprise there!

    Is it normal shiny odds?

Most Pokemon are 1/100, but in all of my three runs I have never seen a shiny starter (and I reset at least 30+ times for good IVs and nature each save). So I imagine I am just unlucky or the odds of a shiny starter are lower.

  14. You literally picked the best starter lol. Hidden abilities are available and Blazikan with speed boost + bulk up, is broken.

The runner ups for best starter are Greninja (Protean), Cinderace (Libero) and Rillaboom (grassy surge)

There is a PNJ to make the IV to 31 you know, and in Rejuvenation, you can teach egg-moves with an Heart Scale.

Wait egg moves are heart scale able? Did not know that...

And yeah, I know about that character but that costs money. Breeding is free, just time consuming (or just free if your a filthy cheater like me). I was just using it as an example of why someone might want additional ice stones.

mean tbf do u need more than 2 ice stones?

since only 2 mons evolve from it

but yea supposedly the higher floors of the store has all the evo stones so

The higher floors do not sell ice stones tho, that is the point of this post. As for why you would want more...

    1. You want to IV breed/Egg move breed them, without more ice stones you are out of luck

    2. You want to use both of them, but were unlucky and did not get the ice stone earlier in the game (it is 1/3 chance), in this case you literally CANT get both of them.

    3. You want to use multiple of them in one fight for some cheesy boss plan. For example, multiple Aloan Ninetails would actually be pretty good against Ryland, you would just need to bring something for his pesky crested mon.

Those are the main reasons I can think of off the top of my head.

How many times we can battle with these duo?

I accidently skip battle in terajuma.

No idea who that is. The two duos are Eli and Sharon (which are only even skippable in ch14) and Sam and Alex (which are only skippable in ch 8). No idea who the people you bring up are.

  19. You mean HM moves right? There are items you can buy with AP in game that do exactly that. You can probably use debug mode mod to add them to your inventory/add the AP. That would let you achieve the same result.

EDIT: Specifically I mean the golden items.

QuickClaw gardevoir was my only way to deal with toxtricity since i kept the original terrain up for Merciless Aevian Milotic.
For the two steel type : Both granbull and mawile intimidate for togedemaru  and granbull close combat to deal with magneton. Galar Wheezing Neutralizing gaz + Ribombee to take out the A-Raichu was also helpfull.

Valarie's fight was also a nightmare. Not being able to have A-Ninetales is really annoying.
    Florin was really easy.
The double psychic Gym i have always used a light screen Sylveon even in my "normal" playthroughs so it was fairly easy

For Souta: I didn't think about slurpuff but with Def/Speed EVs Dedenne  (I use debug to swap evs/nature/ability around to keep my sanity) elemental seed for skarmory/swanna+ carbink rock tomb for pidgeotto and destiny bond G-wheezing for Dragonite i managed to pull through.

It's my last major fight for now but i'm really scared for Geara and Saki.

I used Dedenne with elemental seed, on Souta too, its purpose was to let Slurpuff belly drum. Nuzzle broke the skarmory sturdy, and then I just needed it to get full para'd on my next turn. I only managed to kill 4 of his mons with Slurpuff before play rough missed.... so technically I did not actually sweep but w/e.

But yeah Dedenne (and pretty much any fast pokemon that can paralyze, is god like in this game. So many fast mons that get shut down by it, and it allows for cheese.

As for the quick claw strategy, that makes sense now. Initially I was using a Rimbombee with sticky web (breed with Sewadle) on my team, so it did not outspeed my Gardevoir, but as you can see from the image, that got cut in the winning attempt. Sticky web Rimbombee is very good, would def recommend.

Apparently there was some sort of interview conducted with the participants to make sure they weren't being impersonated. And that seriously makes me question how Cosmia and Cosmo were able to act like 5 or 6 different people without raising any suspicions

The interviewers don't know any of the main cast, so it wouldn't be THAT hard. Also, Risa Rider in Zone Zero says that Venam and Aelita showed up at the tournament, but Venam did not act like herself. So they clearly did not try that hard to impersonate any of you...

As someone who is also doing a monotype Fairy, no use items, set mod, i can confirm that this fight was really painfull. I didn't think about A-vulpix tho

I personally had to rely on QuickClaw Gardevoir to win this fight so yeah it's very hard to win without luck on your side.

That is an interesting strategy, how did that help you exactly? The steel types were the real problem for me and I can't see my Gardevoir being too useful there even if it gets the quick claw proc, since one thunder raid or iron head takes it out...

But, Yeah this was the hardest fight so far for me. Nothing else has been this hard before or since then. Rift Garbage Can was easy with Melia's help, Florin was easy cause the field boost fairy moves, and double boosts moonblast, Vivian and Souta got swept by bellydrum + unburden + sitrus berry Slurpuff (use this shit its broken lol), Angel of Death was easy because its weak to fairy lul, and so many fairies have good special defense, Adam was tricky but Prankster Klefki with thunderwave on his mega was enough to win that one.

Valarie is probably my runner up for the second hardest fight since she has is mono poison and the field helps her, she makes GDC Venam look like a cakewalk...

Still have not reached Saki yet, that is gonna suck lol, nor have I beaten Aya, she is gonna be a pain in the ass, probably going to need some cheese...

bruh. I literally told you how to fix it in the other post you made. Go look at that lol

I will copy and paste what I said there:

Yeah you need to load an old save, the devs have not fixed this for whatever reason... Check the save file shortcut folder and rename one of the backups to whatever your save is called (should be something like Game.rxdata)

The correct choice is said by Meilane in ORANGE TEXT, so do that instead if you want the best result. If your too lazy to read the text, then the best option is to

    let the timer run out.

I'm pretty sure it's implied that if we didnt go to the tournament, we could interfere with the boom.

Duo is not on the same side as Xen, they just allied for common cause couple of times.

They seem to not be on the same side, but when they ask you to join you, it brings up two pictures for you to choose from, one of which shows those two AND madame X, the other shows your friends. If they are not really on the same side, then the chosen image is a bit weird...

As for the tournament interference thing, I guess maybe, how would you even get in without a ticket, I guess you could force your way in, but stopping bombs from being detonated remotely seems beyond your powers, especially since you don't even know where Flora is (unless you joined bladestar). I am guessing it was the puppet master who forced you to go to the tournament then, since they were the one who gave Melia and Erin the tickets?

  25. So continuing my replaying of this game, a few extra things came to my mind that I think are worth mentioning.

    1. Risa is known to actively fight team Xen, and when your in Zone Zero she attacks Ren for this reason. But that Risa is actually Clear (or was it Kieran, I honestly get the two mixed up lol), the point is that further suggests to me that those two are not really on the same side as Madame X... Afterall if she was then why even bother fighting Team Xen, just be a pop-star or whatever, and keep your disguise simple. Unless of course, the "real" Risa also fought Team Xen, but they only really became active recently, so that doesn't really logically line up, especially considering the real Risa was dying, and in no condition to fight Team Xen...

    2. What is up with the forced entry into the tournament? Like literally nothing comes of it, nothing happens at the tournament, and the people in your group that don't show up to it get impersonated by presumably those two dittos or Clear/Kieran, meaning there were no consequences for not showing up. Like, what was the point of someone forcing all of the party to enter? Like the only thing that happens at the same time is the ballroom explosion, but its not like you being entered into the tournament caused that to happen. What I am trying to say is, if you did not get entered into the tournament, the ballroom would have still went "BOOM" and the story would have progressed as normal, minus a gym battle. So was that there goal, to get you to get another badge? Otherwise, I can't think of anything that makes much sense...
