I have some questions about the Sacroc Region (Mainly the game)
1. Whats the game name?
2. Are there fakemons besides Megas and Regional Variants?
3. Evil Team(s)?
4. Elite 4?

Well... I just think that would be unfair for one evolutionary line can Mega Evolve, and other can't. What makes one better than the other? Lorewise, all non-Legendary fully evolved Pokemon could Mega Evolve... But we know why it's impractical.
Also, I'm not the only one to create Mega for "regional" variant - like Mega Deltas who... true, they're "half-artificial", but can be treated as regional variant with the same premise as regionals.
And the other reason is to... make a battle against Oscar a nightmare (unless someone brings Perish Song/Destiny Bond/Counter Sash Pokemon to counter that specific monster).
I've done the calcs, actually... And taking the "Blessing" mechanic into account, Earthquake from Max Atk Mega Garchomp during Sandstorm will do... a maximum of 33,4% to that specific Sacronian Mega Tyranitar, assuming both are on the same level. And only because of Sand Force! Without it, there's a slight chance Garchomp won't 5HKO it, while Tyranitar will 2HKO with Dragon Hammer (a bit "changed" so Pokemon don't have to have a long necc - just long, powerful limb). Of course, you won't receive such overpowered Pokemon when you get to that battle, so the actual damage done will be even lower.
Players may cheese the fight, but since it will be 6vs6... you know what, I've said too much already.
I... am far too away from creating the game; I still haven't created evil team's Admins (expect names and general asthetics) and almost no unique "side characters" except Professor and some Frontier Brains. And all... That is when you create it alone, and also study, and have almost no artistic talent whatsoever.
Ideas, I do have - lots of them. But having to paint them is x100 times harder. And often I "copy" others. Not steal, but copy - take inspirations, and "upgrade" them.
...okay, now I'm whining. Sorry

Question:
What if we could join Lin? I honestly think Lin herself has done nothing wrong. Or maybe I'm just an edgy teenager...

Or he (?) might ally himself with Lin just to make us shut up for good.
They might try. But I ain't giving up without a fight - victory or death; there's nothing in-between for us.
QuoteThis would be when I operate under real-world logic. And real-world mobs cannot look weak. Such a humiliation would trigger horrific retaliation.
I get it now. Just to make things look more realistic - if you want to rule, you have to look strong; if one random destroys entire battalion of gangsters/mafiosos, soldiers, policemen, private army or other... They might want a payback.
The only case when they don't, is when by trying to extract vengeance, they might land in even deeper shit; the reasons are various - from being actually too weak to deal with it, to the one being hunted actually having strong alliance/backup. And one of that scenarios happens currently in real life, so~...
QuoteThat’s what I was trying to convey (although I’m not sure if I even made it clearer).
I think I get it.
It depends on scenarios, on expectations, on the rules of the universe, on basic logic... It all has to connect, it all has to make a clean line, "the rules of the world decide about the outcome".
In short...
In... short.......
See? That's what happens when you aren't an native English speaker - having troubles to pick the right words. And I don't trust internet translators.
What I mean is that every story is lead by different rules and expectations of the people inside and outside that universe. In one case, being derpy, chill-out and high af dude will benefit you on the journey. In the other, the same character is the first one to be killed.
In every case rules, climate and the enemies you will face, are different on every term, and so it can't . Unless you want to create a universe when character is Mary Sue-like, there will ALWAYS be some shortcomings; unexpected incidents and tragedies.
Or... Am I overthinking?
-
You're not overthinking, I think you understood pretty well what I was trying to say (although I was thinking of resolutions -- for instance the large-scale redemption of Team Meteor you were alluding to: it's not universally plausible, it depends on these "rules"). To be honest I'm not sure I could find the right words in my native language.
Just for the sake of completeness, when I was talking about retaliation, it wasn't fights: more ambushes, betrayals, maybe outright assassination -- which is why I mentioned paranoia and luck, not strength.

Agreed. Sometimes face-to-face confrontation isn't the best choice, especially if the opponent will have the upper hand from the start.
Strength alone is not enough (unless you're Saitama... for now) - one need to use their brain and skills sometimes too. Inteligence, cunningness, adaptability, creativity, courage, charisma... all of those help.
