  1. Its so funny how even little differences change everything. I finally beat her, literally all I did was level up Metagross from 74-81 (yeah I know it shouldnt have been that low in the first place, I'm a dumdum) and it one shot sandslash. then my regular plan followed through as normal but with my new aggron who took out klefki and perish song'd aegislash. But thank you both for giving me your advice
  2. I have a strong Ampharos+mega stone but no ring. I bought all the pokemon from 7th street but not til post restoration. idk where arclight is. I'll try the sucker punch as well.
  3. I'm struggling with her right now. I have a decent team that I can beat most of her team, I struggle to beat her Klefki or Aegislash. Scizor is a mixed bag. Team: Infernape, Metagross, Escavalier, Scrafty, Empoleon and Absol For her Sandslash, I start with Meta to use Brick Break on her Veil. I think Meta needs a few more levels because I only get it to red and still take an EQ. But still beat Sandslash easy. Then she sends out Escadrill, I send out Escavalier (who holds Magic Seed) so first turn I use Swords Dance, while it uses Sandstorm, then I use Drill Run and beat it in one shot (since she uses Swords Dance). Then she sends out Empoleon, I keep my Esca in. She uses Scald which Esca can take once. Now here is where I need my luck. If her Scald doesn't burn, and Drill Run doesn't miss, its an easy kill. If I get burned or miss, Esca dies. Here she is a bit random, she usually sends out Scizor. My first run I used my Iron Fist Infernape to use Fire Punch. She spammed Roost so I just kept punching until I won. Then she sent out Klefki. I always keep forgetting about fire moves becoming part dragon so it obviously fails, she finishes of Infernape. Empoleon has HP ground but it doesn't do much after its calm mind spam plus healing. (So far Empoleon hasn't had much use, except for Scizor once when Infernape died when she didn't roost spam) Scrafty is kinda useful to intimidate scizor but thats it. I have Absol with focus sash+perish song to take care of aegislash. So, it seems like my best bet is to get a ground type. I caught Gliscor (my favorite pokemon <3) which I would EV train its Atk/Spd but I also caught an Escadrill, lvl 78 while the Gliscor is only 65. On top of that Esca has Earthquake while Gliscor can only have Bulldoze. Which would you recommend or other ideas to use against her? *Could I use an Aggron for her Klefki? I caught a shiny Lairon with Heavy Metal. I imagine a double weighted Aggron using a field boosted Heavy Slam would demolish a tiny Klefki.
  4. Lol, f*ck me I guess. Anyway, I have another question, hopefully I don't kill the chat again. I have no idea how tf to get through Tourmaline Desert. I know I need to get through the trains but I suck at these kinds of mazes, and there aren't any videos on youtube that specifically show how to get through to get to Never After.
  5. Ok I figured it out lol but I've closed them 5 times now and the tower still hasn't come
  6. I've tried looking it up but there aren't answers for my problem. I know I'm supposed to activate 3/4 Oasis'. I know where all 4 are. I've went to each of them and nothing happened. From the video it looked like he just talked to a specific rock and it activated. I'm doing that but nothing is happening. *Slight correction, I guess it isn't activating, one is supposed to already be active and you make that one disappear. But again I've checked all 4 and they're already gone. **Nevermind just forget it. I've tried several times now and apparently it could even take 20 times if I'm unlucky. Too much work for a dumb Mimikyu and Honedge. Wasted 30 repels running back and forth. For nothing. Sorry to waste your time reading this (idk how to delete posts)
  7. Hmm well now that I have you rooting for me, I feel I have to pick him now. Also, as much as Grenny is my favorite water starter, his lack of TMs until Agate makes me nervous so I'm definitely hesitant to pick him. Luckily since there's an ability capsule in the beginning, I can make sure I get good IVs/nature but not be too worried if I end up getting blaze. That's what I did with my Infernape. Jolly plus all it's IVs were 25+
  8. I want to start a new game soon, once I'm all caught up on my current one. Now having a better idea of how the game works and being more careful to catch certain pokes or certain items, plus make different choices. But now I'm deciding between Torchic and Froakie. From what I understand they are the best starters, and I guess Snivy for the grass type? But meh. They both have advantages. SB Blaziken will hit hard and fast plus bulk up will make him even stronger plus extra def. Whereas with Froakie, with protean he's incredibly versatile and can be useful against almost anyone. On the downside, my current playthrough I used Infernape, so I'm not sure about getting another Fire/Fighting starter. With Greninja, as great as his usefulness is, he doesn't get access to many useful moves that take advantage of that until very very late game. So I'm curious on others' thoughts and who may help me have a better idea of who I'd like. Thank you!
  9. So I just did the Devon Corp mission and got volunteers for Adrienn and I'm ready to battle them. However I wanted to train a few new Pokemon first. I wanted to get the lucky egg to help with that and I bought all the Pokemon in cages (except this mystery Pokemon the wiki says) I never saw Arclight talk to me after(though it's entirely possible he already did, I've been to 7th Street before and went to that area, I have like 140 hours in this game so I really can't remember) I'm hoping I didn't break any progression? Since I did this right while he's recuperating, idk if that affects it. Idk where he is I can't go in the night club obviously. I know he's the one who also gives me mega evolution so that's pretty important.
  10. Don't know why i didn't think to just ask here lol. So the info for mac only explains if you use wine, but there is an actual mac version now. How do I use the mods? I can't find the location of the game data in my computer (only the app itself and save data)
  11. I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the bug section, but I have more general questions so assumed here was ok? So from what I've seen its semi-common to have that bug in Spinel Town which makes it rain all the time, preventing the Sticker event. I saw an admin posted some replacement data so the event would happen regardless of weather but it didn't work. I've also seen there is a mod where you can change the weather. But I haven't seen useful enough info on how to use it. The thread was posted in 2018? I think? And does appear to have the E18 version, however since I'm on MAC and actually have a MAC version, the wineskin info doesn't apply to me, and I can't find my game data anywhere in my computer to even access anything. So pretty much my question is if anyone can help with either of these things: 1) Some workaround of how to fix the Spinel bug or how to get that map change data to work and where to put it in my computer? or 2) if anyone knows how to do the mods on a pure MAC version of the app (not wineskin) Sorry if I sound dumb but I've literally never modded before so please don't judge me too harshly
  12. I get that, in regular games I don't worry about it. But in this game you kinda have to. Although I give you massive credit if you've gotten this far without worrying about it! You could try asking in the trade section if someone is willing to trade you good pokemon to help?
  13. I wanted to evolve my a.sandshrew to help with Terra. But I of course have no access to one since I'm in the agate section plus I wouldnt have had stickers to access the level they are located. Anyway, I wanted to know if someone could trade me an ice stone, and maybe even a synthetic seed? I also do not have that and again, that item is not available in agate if you dont have one already. Also, I can't seem to access trade. I tried it and just got a message saying either the server or my wifi was having issues. I know its not my wifi since its working for one, and I've been able to use online features on insurgence. Unless you need to be in a Pokemon Center? I was in a cave when I first tried. ***Nvm. I am using a MAC, apparently thats not possible right now. Don't know how to delete. Ignore this!
  14. I was in your boat literally today. Days of training. Please tell me you have the EV items to make this easier. I actually swept her team easily now. Catch rockruff route 2, evolve to midday and relearn rock slide. EV train Atk + Spd 252 and level to at least 69. With that you can speed past typhlosion and one shot them both. I also had a hard stone to boost rock moves. volcarona has a rock weakening berry so try a water or flying move for it. Catch a spheal/sealeo train that (make sure you give it thick fat) give it blizzard. blizzard will get rid of the super heated field. i also ev trained mine in SDef so it could tank a few hits. With that done I used Bronzong to rain dance Ninetales sunny day which creates a rainbow field and eliminates any problematic effects (i tried sandstorm but that just boosted her fire moves again) I also had an empoleon with water pledge, which is boosted by rainbow field and that one shotted her ninetales, since it was also raining.
  15. I'm really trying and I still can't beat anyone after her Ty/Dar. I use Fake Out to stop Ty, and Blizzard cools off the place. But my Meowstic is weak af so she gets taken out in one hit. Empoleon surfs and can usually get them both out. But after that she walls me. Her Rotom Reflects which stops my Lyc, or her Delphox LS which walls everyone else.
  16. How should I my setup? I taught Lycanroc Stealth Rock. Should I start with him and Walrein? Use Accelrock on typhlosion to make eruption weaker, then use blizzard? Will blizzard still remove the super heat while the field is burning?
  17. I initially wanted Gigalith, but I have no link stone and as far as I know there isn't any where I am. There is wild Boldore in Route 2. All I can do is level up my team, but this badge is one where the level cap doesn't increase and idk where common candies are here I do have a spheal from that egg. But I guess I could catch a sealeo. I thought Water Pledge/Surf/Rain Dance gets rid of it after Eruption has turned it but I guess not.
  18. Ok well, I couldn't find any 'gym leader' guide that was brought up to me in my last post. And I am asking this here because I did look at older posts and did everything mentioned and still I can't win. I spent 6 hours yesterday and 7 hours today catching and training new pokemon, backtracking to relearn moves etc. And still nothing,I'm literally willing to pay somebody to take my save and beat her for me because I don't know wtf to do anymore and its getting too frustrating. My team: (Only gonna list relevant moves for battle) Lycanroc Lv 62 252 EVs Atk + Spd, Lonely, Keen Eye: Accelrock, Rock Slide Empoleon Lv 58 252 EVs SAtk + SDef, Modest, Torrent: Surf, Water Pledge, Icy Wind, Hidden Power [Ground] Bronzong Lv 64 252 EVs Def + SDef, Quiet, Heatproof: Rain Dance, Trick Room Mamoswine Lv 62 (Not EV trained, just caught Shiny) Docile, Thick Fat: Earthquake Infernape Lv 67 252 EVs Atk + Spd, Jolly, Iron Fist: Acrobatics, Shadow Claw Pallossand: Lv61 EVs SAtk + SDef, Calm, Water Impact: Earth Power, Sandstorm, Shadow Ball I do have other mons in my PC, but they are either at a serious type dis. (roserade, escavalier, yanmega) or just don't really offer more help than my above team (ampharos, scrafty, sylveon, hawlucha) sorry if im annoying and posting too much. but i cant believe she is this hard for me.
  19. I 100% blame myself for this, but an issue I have noticed I have is I don't plan ahead properly. I didn't get a Rain Dance TM before Agate and I should've put in that effort to catch beldum for Samson and many other things. I see many gyms that are hard, are easy to beat with specific Pokemon (like Hawlucha for Samson/Lycanroc+Bronzong for Charlotte etc) but I don't stop to think and catch certain Pokemon especially since I don't know whats coming. So is there a guide that shows useful tips like to catch certain Pokemon at specific times or get certain items? It was very time consuming (again my fault though) to go all the way back and find a rare Rockruff then EV train tf out of it and go back and do the same with Bronzong etc. I just want to know ahead of time while I'm already somewhere, plus I'd love to stop annoying everybody here with posts because I suck ass lol Anyway, thanks for the help!
  20. Thank you! I ended up finding that video too but got confused at first because from my perspective I already went there and then I just watched it xD I'm glad this game can help remind me how dumb I can be sometimes haha. I appreciate you helping
  21. Yes, I'm annoyed at myself I am posting another gym issue a day later. But I literally have no idea what to do. Samson is way too OP. Hawlucha and Mienfoo are way too fast and just one shot practically my entire team. I trained up my Ampharos and it can barely handle Hawlucha. I did look at other threads, but they either were old and I'm not sure how relevant they are or they gave little advice. The only thing I really picked up was apparently Hawlucha is great here, so currently I'm hunting for one now, I have EV items to train him fast. But let me know any other tips. Here's my team for reference: (Lvls 60-65) Infernape: Flame Wheel, Close Combat, Shadow Claw, Acrobatics Sylveon: Moonblast, Swift, Yawn, Light Screen Roserade: Giga Drain, Venoshock, Toxic Spikes, Nature Power Escavalier: X-Scissor, Iron Head, Drill Run, Swords Dance Ampharos: Discharge, Signal Beam, Power Gem, Thunder Wave Hawlucha?: Flying Press, Acrobatics, ?, ? (whats a good moveset for it here?) This is my strategy so far: Start with Roserade, can get 2 toxic spikes before Hari kills her. Infernape one shots with Acrobatics. He switches into Lucha, I pull out Ampharos who kills it with Discharge, but put into red. Then he summons Lucario, I switch to Escavalier to Drill Run and (I thought at least) tank a hit or two but get one shotted even with brick break. Infernape finishes it. Thats about as much thats consistent. If he chooses Mienshao, Sylveon has sometimes took one hit and one shot it with Moonblast, or he summons Blaziken and I get sweeped. I think so far my only chance is to stall its toxic status and keep healing my team until it dies. Don't know how many cotton candys i need for that though. Have yet to see his Conkeldurr. If its not too fast, I believe my Infernape or Sylveon could one shot it. Also I have some decent reserves: Wigglytuff(45) with Perish Song, Pallossand(59), Yanmega(60) with Air Slash I initally had her in, but she would get one shot by literally any team member of his. And a Gothorita I could train. *Caught a lvl55 Hawlucha, Naive nature with 31 in Atk, 29 in Def, and 27 in Spd and Sp. D. That seems good? High IV in Atk and Spd, plus a Spd boosting nature, and the high IV in Sp. D somewhat negates its 10% loss? (Sorry for sounding like an idiot I'm not super competitive, I usually only go for Adamant/Modest natures and thats it) Also apparently Hawlucha doesn't learn Acrobatics through level up. Stupid question, but would giving Luchy a Fist plate make Flying Press 'flying' part more damaging as well?
  22. Hello, I'm stuck and I have no idea where I'm supposed to go. I am at Route 1 and beat Fern. All he told me was the gym leaders but I have no idea where the castle is. I found the labrynth but theres nothing there. What do I do?
  23. I genuinely don't get how his team is giving me such a struggle. I was able to get down to just his Clefable and used my Roserade, but then it spammed Cosmic Power so my attacks did nothing (since the terrain healed) until my PP ran out. Second I swapped her for my wigglytuff with Perish Song (which has been an effing GODSEND) and I got rid of it, but still had his bewear left and again I was brought down. Here is the team: (all lvl 49-55) Infernape Flame Wheel, Close Combat, Acrobatics, Shadow Claw (iron fist) Ampharos: Discharge, Signal Beam, Power Gem, Thunder Wave (static) Wigglytuff: Hyper Voice, Gyro Ball, Sweet Kiss, Perish Song (competitive) Scrafty: Crunch, Brick Break, Thunder Punch, Rock Climb (intimidate) Pallossand: Earth Power, Shadow Ball, Giga Drain, Hypnosis (good for swellow) Roserade: Giga Drain, Venoshock, Toxic Spikes, Nature Power Reserves: (levels are kinda mixed, weakest is 39) Yanmega: Bug Buzz, Air Slash, Ancient Power, Uproar (tinted lens) Donphan: Strength, Earthquake, Rollout, Rock Smash (Sturdy) Eelektross: Crunch, Spark, Discharge Meowstic (f): Psychic, Shadow Ball, Fake Out (competitive) Ludicolo: Energy Ball, Bubblebeam, Nature Power (Rain Dish) its actually raining in my game where noel is. is that useful? I have a few abi-caps to change to swift swim too **I had a feeling this would happen. The first battle after posting this I beat him... so nevermind!!
  24. Thank you! I was searching through older threads and found someone mention Trubbish learning TS early. So training him. Did not know about the Grand Hall thats great! I will try with him and if it still doesn't work I will catch Poochy and Goldy!
  25. Hello. I started playing this game recently. But I am having trouble with being, well good lol. I cannot for the life of me get past the 1st gym. I admit I must suck, because I'm finding it really frustrating the 1st gym has a full team of 6. Here is my team: Monferno Lv18 (Iron Fist) Kricketune Lv17 (Fury Cutter) Igglybuff Lv17 (Perish Song) Stunky Lv11 (Poison Gas) Pachirisu Lv9 (Volt Absorb) Espurr Lv14 (Light Screen) I also just got Budew but its only Lv 8 and I don't want to risk losing its happiness if it faints. Didn't want to spend too long writing complete movesets, so I just added what their use is at this moment. The best I got was Kricketune wiping 3 of her Pokemon with Fury Cutter. But then she sent out Electrode and it just swept my team with one hit. I've seen here users get annoyed when people complain about the difficulty, so I don't want to sound like that. But I am finding it hard to train since my only option is like grass with lv 3 ledbya and a stunky cave at lv8. Is there some strategy I'm missing? Someone else I can catch or item I can use?
