    speaking of chimchar

can we talk about how wtf infernape's crest is

like it swaps its defence and attacks

who tf would use a defensive infernape anyways

    18 minutes ago, Z64 said:

the crest is like that probably because infernape is already pretty good on its own and doesn't need a crest that buffs it. the only reason it has a crest in the first place is cause the other two sinnoh starters needed ones

What Z64 said, quoting the wiki:
"If one Pokémon of a distinct group (starter trios, version counterparts etc.) receives a crest, the other Pokémons of that group generally also receive one, resulting in some already "strong" Pokémon receiving crests, such as Empoleon and Infernape"

So yeah, basically it was given to him and Empoleon just because Torterra received one so.. Yeah.. Empoleon isn't as strong as Infernape so the crest is still quite useful but Infernape was just a "for fun" status change because if Jan gave it any sort of buff it would be too strong since it's already one of the top starters.

  2. Wait wait wait.. THE TEAMS ARE DIFFERENT DEPENDING ON THE STAiRTER?!
Now that's a thing I didn't knew.. I always thought the teams are the same EXCEPT for the starter.. I always pick Cindaquil.. Damn.. Can someone tell me the Pokemon teams of each path (except Cindaquil cuz I know, duh)?

  3. I just wish that all the starters become available already..
We at v13, our Pokemons are reaching Lv90, I feel like there's no point in keeping the strong starters and Pokemons (*cof cof* Magikarp *cof cof*) out of our reach this far in the game already, we even have access to megas and z-moves now, give us Torchic, Chimchar, Magikarp, etc or we will revolt!.. Somehow!.. Please?..

  4. I will leave the Team I used to beat him, I played on Normal, Battle Style on Set and No Items and, in spoilers, how the battle went, bare in mind some RNG is needed because of that DAMNED flinch of 30% on Sky Attack..

    - Steelix (Iron Plate, Lead)
    Stone Edge
    Gyro Ball
    Stealth Rock

    Curse

    - Togedemaru (Elemental Seed)
    Zing Zap
    Spiky Shield
    Fell Stinger
    Nuzzle

    - Pincurchin (Nothing)
    Zing Zap
    Surf
    Electric Terrain
    Recover

    - Magnezone (Zap Plate)
    Discharge
    Flash Cannon
    Electric Terrain
    Thunder Wave

    - Talon Flame (Sky Plate)
    Brave Bird
    Flare Blitz
    Quick Quard
    Roost

    - Aevium Ampharos (Wide Lens)
    Blizzard
    Thunder
    Power Gem

    Thunder Wave

Now how the battle went, remember, I had Battle Style on Set, will keep this in spoilers if you don't want to use it and want to figure out on your own:

    Spoiler

    Steelix vs Skarmory
Started using Curse once while Skarmory used Stealth Rock
Used my own Stealth Rock while Skarmory started using Sky Attack
2 Gyro Balls to KO Skarmory while it used 2 more Sky Attacks leaving Steelix with a little more than 50%
Souta sends Swanna and I switch to Pincurchin which takes a Electrified Surf (Because of the Electric Terrain it settles) losing around 30% HP.

    Pincuchin vs Swanna
Swanna uses Hurricane leaving Pincurchin with around 25% HP while Pincurchin KOs it with a boosted Zing Zap
Souta sends in Unfeazant and I switch to Magnezone which tanks a Return taking only around 10% damage.

    Magnezone vs Unfeazant
Unfeazant uses Sky Attack dealing small damage while Magnezone will use Discharge, almost KOing it
Souta will then waste his Ultra Potions if you keep using Discharge until he has none and then use another Sky Attack before getting KOed by Magnezone
Souta will send in Orichorio and I let it KO Magnezone with a Fire-Type Hidden Power (I think) for a safe switch into Talonflame.

    Talonflame vs Oricorio
Talonflame will sadly lose 50% HP on entering the field for Stealth Rocks but the Sky Field will allow his Gale Wings Ability to still work even with HP lower than 100%
Talonflame uses Brave Bird in which Oricorio will barely survive before KOing Talonflame, he did his job.

    Togedemaru vs Oricorio
Togedemaru will enter the field and activate his own Elemental Seed, giving my side Tailwind while Souta's Tailwind will be gone for a while making it faster than Oricorio
Togedemary then KOs it with Zing Zap, Souta will send in his Dragonite.

    Togedemaru & Pincurchin vs Dragonite
Togedemaru will paralyze the Dragonite with a Nuzzle then get KOed by it
I will send in Pincurchin just to renew the Electric Field, it will get KOed by the Dragonite and then I will send Aevium Ampharos.

Aevium Ampharos vs Dragonite & Mega Pidgeotto
Aevium Ampharos will be faster than Dragonite because of Tailwind and Paralysis so it will finish it off with a Blizzard
Souta will send Mega Pidgeotto which will still be faster than Aevium Ampharos but it will tank the Razor Wind with around 5% HP and then finish it off with a boosted, from both the Sky Field and Electric Terrain, Thunder and there, I won.

OBS: The RNG part is getting flinched by Sky Attack or Blizzard from Aevium Ampharos missing (Hence why I gave it Wide Lens)
I am sure there are better strategies since I left this battle with only 2 Pokemons standing but if you play on Battle Style on Switch you won't need to make sacrifices for safe switches like I did.

It's not impossible, massively difficult, yes, but not impossible.. If -I-, a person that isn't even that good and tends to get frustrated and basically bangs his head against the wall in annoyance, could do it with the Battle Style on Set and no items than anyone who isn't imposing those on themselves can do it too.

  5. 2 places.

1 - Teila Resort, in the center where there is 3 hula-girls selling stuff one of them will be selling these for 5000p$
2 - In the Nightmare City, in the second area (where you fight Zetta as Aelita) hidden in the right-side

Most likely not. Chances are this thing is just very hard to fix from programming side, most likely it's more complex than switching couple variables.

    Yep.. Occam's Razor and everything..
IT's far more likely to just be difficult to code than an oversight on purpose.. One of the reasons why we are barred from using the PC when we are controlling other characters is because of that, it's far easier to just not allow us to use the PC so we won't steal Pokemons/Items we weren't suppose to have than to create an entire new code around it..

Will Aevian Feebas and other pokemon that might appear for a certain version of the game will still be available in the complete version of the game though? Implemented as a rare encounter or event pokemon somewhere?

Quoting Iamteehee just a couple of comments above
"According to something Zumi said in the wiki discord, aevium-Feebas will be available for realsies in the spooky forest to the east of Sashila (which is postgame content)."

Is this already confirmed or you just -hope- to see it?
He used to be my favorite but overexposure changed my mind.. I mean, it has TWO mega evolution and a Gigantamax already.. I get it's popular but there are so many other Pokemons that -need- attention and are getting ignored pretty hard..

All the moves of A-Milotic are innacurate, but Coil increases Attack, Defense and Accuracy. After One Coil, you shouldn't miss your moves unless you're unlucky like me. Milotic is a bulky set up sweeper, and Coil is very important for this Pokémon. However, I don't understand why this Milotic doesn't learn Recover.

For Slurpuff, I already have one with Belly Drum, and an other one with Sticky Web. Then I wanted to try a Special Slurpuff ( 3 Slurpuff to rule them all).

However, I don't agree with the defensive spread of Probopass. It already has good defensives stats (145 / 150) but it lacks HP (60) so I think it would be better to invest in HP.

And I still have the same problem. When I fight a faster Pokémon ( with a minimum of 121), I start to be in trouble if I don't my Feraligatr with Priority moves.

Yeah I get the Coil Accuracy increase but it kinda makes it dependent on at least one Coil to have good accuracy.
1 Slurpuff, ha ha ha, 2 Slurpuff, ha ha ha, THREE SLURPUFF, HA HA HA!!
I guess I could put 252 in HP and then spread evenly between Def and S.Def, I just feel like this would maximize it's defenses so he takes such little damage anyway, I usually like to put HP when I give a Pokemon Leftovers tho'

For faster Pokemon that's why I have the Prankster Meowstic with Thunder Wave, works like a glove, either that or sometimes I use a Treevenant with Will-o-Wisp if the faster Pokemon is a physical attacker.

  11. ALSO
It doesn't really make him Fighting-Type, it gives him Fighting-Type STAB and resistances, which is even better, since it means it won't take super effective damage from Psychic, Fairy or Flying but it will still resist anything a Fightin-Type would.

  12. Same as before, will give my opinion on the ones I think need some change:

    - A-Milotic: I don't know.. I don't like relying on Hypnosis because of the 50% accuracy.. I would still rather prefere Vivillon with Coumpound Eyes, almost makes Sleep Powder be 100% (almost).. I would also change Gunk Shot for Poison Jab since, guess you probably noticed a theme here, I don't like inaccurate moves.. 90% is the most I am willing to risk, anything bellow that is a massive no for me..
    - Slurpuff: Yeah I am waiting as well, not on Calm Mind but Belly Drum instead, use one Belly Drum, get the Sitru Berry to be consumed and boom, a Pokemon with +6 stages of Attack and double the speed! But in this case I like that build, I just prefer the physical one instead.
    - Probopass: I use the same build except that I place my EVs on Def and S.Def and use the Magnet Pull ability to lock Steel-Types.

2 Pokemons I keep in the reserve are Talonflame and Ambipom, every now and then I get one of them when I feel like it's needed, Ambipom with Technician is just great and massively underrated, it has the strongest Fake Out of the whole game, nice Attack Base + Stab + Ability, specially if you give it a Muscle Band or Silk Scarf, it's good at gauging which enemies you can easily defeat since if it manages to remove 30% of the enemy HP on a Fake Out then it can KO them with a Double Hit, also pretty good at breaking Focus Sash; Talonflame is just my favorite bird, period, but Brave Bird and Flare Blitz are just too good to pass up too, I used Talonflame in almost all of my gym battles.

Thanks but I choose Roserade because it's a Grass Type which resists Electric Type Moves, and it's the fastest Grass Type Sleep Inducer.

I see.. Tho' Roserade is literally just one base point faster than Vivillon, I would still prefer the butterfly because of the increased accuracy on the move, it sucks to miss Sleep Powder and then get OHKOed..
I used to have a Roserade in my team but I changed it for a Prankster Meowstic with Thunder Wave, Reflect and Light Screen, it was more useful to me in the long run, everytime I replay this game I make sure to always switch my team around so I don't use the same Pokemons I did in previous runs (With exception of the starter, I always get a starter that can't be obtained, my favorite is always Infernape),

I'm in the middle of my 5th run, playing with Battle on Set and no items, just managed to defeat Souta, my current team is:

    Spoiler

    - Thievul (Dark Pulse; Psychic; Mud Shot; Parting Shot); Ability: Stakeout; Nature: Timid; Item: Thievul Crest
    EVs: 6 HP, 252 S.Atk, 252 Speed
A good lead, with the Crest it reduces S.Atk on switch in and can learn Parting Shot for switch opportunity + debuff.

    - Infernape (Fire Punch; Thunder Punch; Close Combat; Mach Punch); Ability: Iron Fist; Nature: Adamant; Item: Flame Plate (Wish it was a Black Belt or Muslce Band)
    EVs: 6 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Speed
Iron Fist increases the punches damage from 75 to 97 (rounded down) so he have a good coverage since it learns Thunder Punch, Mach Punch is there for priority.

    - Marowak (Bonemerang; Fire Punch; Thunder Punch; Stomp Tantrum); Ability: Lightning Rod; Nature: Sassy; Item: Thick Club (Obviously)
    EVs: 6 HP, 252 Def, 252 S.Def
The club increases his base 80 Atk to 160 already so I decided to make him a wall with spikes by bulking his defenses, it's been working nicely so far, even without a Atk Nature or EVs he still does more damage than the Infernape too.

    - Ninjask (X Scissor; Aerial Ace; Sword Dance; Baton Pass); Ability: Speed Boost; Nature: Adamant; Item: Bug Plate (Bugnium-Z when Z-Moves become available)
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Att, 6 Def.
Believe it or not, I never did the classic Ninjask Baton Pass strategy so I'm trying it out now.

    - M-Meowstic (Psychic; Reflect; Light Screen; Thunder Wave); Ability: Prankster; Nature: Bold; Item: Light Clay
    EVs: 6 HP, 252 Def, 252 S.Def
    Dual screener, yeeah..

    - Ampahros (Thunderbolt; Dragon Pulse; Volt Switch; Thunder Wave); Ability: Static; Nature: Modest; Item: Leftovers (Ampharosite when Megas become available)
    EVs: 6 HP, 252 Def, 252 S.Def
Same concept as Marowak, Mega Ampharos 160 S.Atk is already pretty high and it also has very descent Def and S.Def so making it a bulky Pokemon that can dish out some damage is kinda nice but, gotta admit, not being of much use as for now.. If it doesn't become better by the time Mega-Ring becomes available I might change my mega.

  14. I will give my own suggestions on the Pokemons -I- think need some change, the ones I don't mention just assume I said "Nice!".

    - Feraligatr: I suggest changing it's Nature to Jolly instead, it's base speed is just 78, not really that fast.. Jolly Nature should cover this to an extent.
    - Roserade: I would prefer Energy Ball instead of Leaf Storm, it might not be stronger but it has the reliable 100% accuracy and doesn't lower your stats. Also I saw the reason you picked Roserade was mostly for the sleep? I feel like Vivillon is better for that purpose because it has Compound Eyes, it can even be a nice Quiver Dance Sweeper too.

    - Delphox: The Low Kick really is a weird one.. Even if it does cover the lack of Fighting moves on your build it still heavily depends on the opponent weight and the Pokemon's Attack, which Delphox really doesn't have much.

Other than that I feel like having a Screen Settler on your team should be good as well, either someone with Prankster, like male Meowstic, or someone bulky like Orbeetle, as for the Fighting coverage, that really is tricky without changing a Pokemon of yours OR give your Feraligtr either Superpower or Brick Break.

    "Disappointing"?
The original idea of v13.5 was always to just add the new DLC Pokemon and some event quests and possible sidequests, it's actually a blessing we are even getting some advancement on the story to be honest..

how do I check my previous saves?

In the main folder of Rejuvenation there will be a folder which is a shortcut of all of your saves, they are all labelled as the name of your character + number of badges + time played, the current save, the one you're stuck at, is named "Game"
Just choose one of the previous savefiles and rename it to "Game" and it will be loaded, of course you need to re-open the game again for it to work

  19. @Kibble
I can give you a good alternative tho'
Crested Thievul! Despite what the description of the Crest says, Thievul actually steals one stage of S.Atk from the opponent and give it to himself, become quite a strong debuffer since it also learns Parting Shot by leveling, try it out, I have one in my team and I am in love with this build! The only problem is that, until you get the Dark Pulse TM, his best S.Atk Dark Move is Snarl, which is quite weak..
