  1. There's a pause from Reiko for a few moments after the two of them speak in which her expression seems imperceptible, before her eyes shift over to look at Tabitha. Rose, hm...? "...As code names go, Rose is fine. ...I like roses. There's little more beautiful than a rose bush in full bloom." And, well...if they're sharing names. They're criminals just as much as she is right now, right? Not much harm to it. "...Reiko Masuda. And just on the off chance, if any of you in Virtuous know anything about the murder of Iori Masuda now would be as good a time as any to mention it." She doesn't really expect that they do, but...hey.
  2. ...Yeah. That doesn't ring any bells. She doesn't understand what the fuss was about there, but okay, then, 'Arthur'. Meanwhile, she's not quite sure she understands what their leader's talking about with the first one, but all of her loved ones are already dead and to be honest, if they believe that claptrap they threw her in prison for and they won't listen when she tries to explain, then they can die stupid. But she can tell he's going to insist, and she doesn't really want to get into this with him. So, fine, she'll play his mildly embarrassing little game. "...Fine. Thistle, then." She doesn't explain much further. It's not like they need to know.
  3. Hrm...he's willing to just let her go. And normally she'd be happy to do that. She'd been planning to take off anyways and she didn't feel like spending much more time around that thug in a fancy suit they had for a healer than she needed to. But...circumstances were different, it seemed. Though, she still planned on leaving as soon as she was able. She simply crosses her arms and leans against the nearest wall. "For the time being, I'm going where Simeon goes. Don't expect me to stick around you all forever, though. When I'm ready, I'm gone." "...I don't...have to pick a code name, do I? I personally don't see the point.
  4. "Unless a reason presents itself I'm not planning on tagging along with them for all that long. Maybe I'll stick around long enough to learn how to make myself a sword...in case I need that information. But when I'm ready to go and if no surprises happen along the way then I'm going." She glances off to the side, going quiet for a few moments before talking again. "Maybe...I could ask them if they want to leave too. The dirty guy, the mousy girl, the dancer...they don't have to come with me. It's probably better that they don't, actually. Just...I don't know. They shouldn't have to deal with him." She trusts that he knows what she means by 'him'. "...A-Anyways. Bear is good, if you cook it right. ...I don't really know how, though. Father always did the cooking."
  5. "...You're right. I don't like it. ..Tch. But as long as you're going to be tagging along with them anyways, I suppose I might as well." "Grape-hair the Macho Man better stay the hell away from me, though."
  6. "Expected that much. They didn't go to this much trouble to keep me locked up just to let me walk away after a break-out. ...You might as well lay that plan you've got on me, though. At the moment I don't have much better other than keep my eyes and ears open and try to hunt some particularly good bears for dinner."
  7. She simply nods in response to his proposition. Simeon is...a good man. One of the few good men she's seen since she was dragged out of the mountains all those months ago. If he needed time then she'd be happy to give it to him. "Fair enough. Take all the time you need; Father used to say that a rushed job was little better than one that hadn't been done at all. But what do you suggest I do in the meantime?"
  8. Reiko promotes to Myrmidon! Promotion Bonuses: HP +1, STR +1, MAG +0, SKL +2, LUK +1, DEF +0, RES +0, SPD +3, CON +2, AID +2, MOV 5 New Pref Stats: SPD, SKL New Class Skill: Leaf on the Wind Instead of attacking, the Myrmidon can declare intent to gain a bonus to evasion equal to (SKL*2) for one enemy round, by reducing the number of counter attacks by 1 (this can mean 0 counter attacks). The bonus to evasion caps at +40. New Personal Skill: Imitation Gold: If unit is in combat with an enemy who wields a Slashing sword, +10 to Hit/Evasion. New Weapon Profs: Slashing (C), Swords (D) +5% growth to STR
  9. She lets out a scoff, crossing her arms and looking to the side. "Don't excuse that kind of behavior. It's unacceptable, and that's the end of it. Hurting your enemies is one thing; hurting your allies is another entirely. If you're going to be okay, then as soon as I ask them about where I can find what I need then I'm leaving. I need these people like I need an axe blade in my head. ...Thank you for your concern, though." "I'm not doubting your skill, but it's irreplaceable. The Murasama blade was an heirloom from my father, and his father before him, and so on down the line. My father told me it's a powerful blade, passed down from a great warrior we're descended from, and if it's in unworthy hands it could do terrible things. ...That being said. I could use a better sword than what I'm using, if you're willing. This one is...enough. But I'm used to better."
  10. Well...it looks like somebody's having themselves a little spat over there. If the members of the 'crafty bandit group' Virtuous were so prone to infighting she couldn't help but wonder for a moment exactly how they'd managed themselves this long. ...And then their healer punches someone ostensibly meant to be on their team. Calling her scum. Heroes of justice, huh? Give her a fucking break. No, she's checking off whatever's left on her to-do list and she's blowing this fucking garbage dump. "...Simeon. You're going to be okay, aren't you?"
  11. She watches as Ganymede just gets his ass shot down. Well...she didn't get her licks in. But dead is dead, she supposes. "I guess he was right about one thing. He died too quickly to taste my blade." That's not to say she's done with him, though. Unusually calmly, she walks over to Ganymede's body, stares down at it for a few moments...and begins to violently stomp on it for a couple seconds before kicking it away from her. "Scum."
  12. She's gonna wait up to hear if they have a kind of plan on what to do with the cursed once they're knocked cold--but while she's waiting she figures she might as well take care of the lance-wielding cursed in front of them. He looks like she could give a light push and he'd topple over, anyhow. Owena shuffles back a bit to M-10, takes a non-lethal swing at Soldier D.
  13. She's almost taken aback--not that he doesn't know where it is, she anticipated that might be the case. But the sheer fucking disrespect this man was showing towards a blade of that importance...! "Mangy practice sword?! You ignorant motherfucker--" "...Fine. So you've chosen to die slowly, painfully and stupid, huh?! I can help oblige that."
  14. These Virtuous fellows loved their speeches, didn't they...? To the point of being a detriment, as it turns out in the woman in red's case. Well, fine. Let them do what they want--as long as she gets what she needs to know. Now that Baldur's gotten out of her 'spot' (she supposes the bastard didn't count on a large group of visitors coming around), she marches on up within earshot and draws her blade, pointing it straight at Ganymede. "I only want to ask once, Ganymede, and if I have to ask again it's going to hurt when I do. The Murasama Blade. Where is it? Where are the bastards who stole it?" Reiko to C7, hold.
  15. Owena blinks and looks over to the side as Brinda...decides to be all dramatic within seconds of being healed up again. Well...so long as she's living her best life, she supposes. At any rate, it's as good an indicator as any that she's feeling none the worse for wear, and it can be a valuable thing to keep your cool when things suddenly go pear-shaped for you. "Good to see you're up and at 'em again, Brinda. I'd say we have our work cut out for us, but I think we can take them." She watches as the witch specifically tries not to kill them--which definitely isn't a bad impulse to have. She'd like to be able to avoid killing them too if she could at all help it; even now as a horde of them were charging her down, just from their appearance they seemed to be more horribly sick people than some Evil MenaceTM to be destroyed. Still, though... "So what's our plan after we're done? While we're not trying to kill them, I mean. Is there a place around we can hold them? Do we take them back to the Curselands?" She pauses for a few seconds to take a swing at the axeman before adding, "Not to sound hostile to the idea, if I came off like that. I just mean...I don't know, is all." Owena takes a swing at Fighter D. Maybe try not to kill, if that's our new gameplan.
  16. "..." For a band of rogues and thieves they sure did like their spectacle, didn't they? Whatever floats their boat--they've helped her get this far, at least. "...Good fucking grief. Fine. I'll make it quick, then." She probably doesn't have too much time to get what she needs to out of him before he's cut down--and rightfully so, of course. It's just irritating that they won't even promise that much. "I hate him and want him dead as much as any of you. But he's also my only prospective lead right now, so if you kill him before I get what I need out of him I'm going to be cross."
  17. Compared to the last hit she's taken today the arrow is more or less a pittance--and she's about to return the favor with interest when Mim basically does it for her. ...Huh. "...Good shot." She strolls on over to the archer's corpse and looks down at it for a moment before giving it a swift kick. "Tch. Don't start fights you aren't willing to finish, dumbass." Of course, it's not like the archer is alive to hear her little taunt anyways. It makes her feel better, though. "Hey. Before we bust in and kick ass, I've got something I need to ask the warden. ...We're still going to kill him afterwards, because no way is he leaving here outside of a coffin for what he's done to us. But I've...got information I want to at least try and get out of him first." Reiko to B9.
  18. Everyone seems to have business in hand--though it's not pissing her off quite as much. She's gotten to give a few dickweeds a piece of her mind, and the biggest prize is still just ahead. So...while it's cleared out she might as well go ahead and just move it on up. Reiko to D10, hold it together.
  19. Tch...so, the walls are starting to close in on them, huh? Well, it's not as if she's a total stranger to fighting more than one person at a time--and with the nature of the chokepoint, she shouldn't have any problem holding the south entrances. She's confident enough that she doesn't feel fazed when Galen needs to go and help out those fighting at the west entrance. As long as he's directing Vivi to come down and help Brinda--which, from the looks of it, he is. She turns her head towards the treeline for a second and asks, "Arissell, wasn't it? Help me get this shaman out of our hair for a second," before turning back towards the task at hand, taking a step forward and taking a swing at the dark mage. Arissell to M, 9 and chip at the Shaman Owena to M,11 and whack the Shaman Vivi to N, 10 and heal Brinda
  20. Reiko takes a breath and tries not to be....too alarmed as the healing sparkles shower her body. It's....a strange experience. She'd heard talk of healers and all that, but she'd never really...experienced it before. It was a strange, almost alien thing to her, not having to simply heal naturally with the aid of whatever medicines were around her. Though...now that the steadying pain had left, she found herself with a little less focus in her anger than before. ...It's still not necessarily something to be upset at him over, of course. "....Thank you. Don't worry about me too much if someone else needs healing more than I do, though. My father used to tell me that our family has always done its best work in our worst hour, and I don't believe I'm too different in that regard."
  21. "--!" Well...she had more or less expected the cursed to go after the person right in front of her, having gone feral and all, but...she supposed going after an easier target like Brinda made about as much sense. ...That didn't mean she had to like it, though. On the contrary--her teeth grit and her hands grip tighter on her hatchet as she approaches the soldier who downed her teammate, glancing down at Brinda in for a few seconds in the meantime. "Hang tight, Brinda. I'm sure Vivi's coming." Turning her attention back to the soon-to-be-swatted Soldier, she growls out, "Hey! Your fight's with me, dickweed!" before taking a mighty swing at him. Stay where she is and swat the heck out of that Soldier C.
  22. ...Tch, finally. Something to take her attention off all the yelling that's been going on...though at the very least, Crimson seems to have learned to focus his anger towards people that actually need a blade in their chests. So that's a positive. One of the aforementioned people is standing before her, heavily battered. It looks like any push would topple him over, and she would like him to feel her pain for a little while longer--but at the same time she doesn't want to let him go without tasting her steel first. She strides on over to the soldier and, with a swing and a mighty, primal battle-yell she brings her sword down upon him. Reiko to D14, Revengeance the Soldier.
  23. She's quiet for a few moments, seeming almost...pensive, before nodding an affirmative. "Thank you...admittedly, though, I'm a bit more used to my bare hands, but I'm learning." "I...well, I haven't had a dragon attack me, so I can't say I know everything about your experience, but I do know what it's like to be unwelcome for who you are. The good people of the Winelands don't take kindly to my kind being in 'their lands', whether we were born there or not." Her voice almost drips with sarcasm as she emphasizes the 'good people', and a slight scowl crawls its way onto her face for a few moments. "So, I do understand it pays to keep an eye out, I suppose...I've just more experience in street fights than warzones, I guess. ...Shouldn't you get back a little, Galen? You're hurt. I can take whatever they've got for me better than you probably can right now."
  24. Hrm. It's...almost a little disconcerting just how easily Galen managed to do that. Or, she should say, how nonchalantly that happened. "What the hell kind of a teammate would I be if I didn't have your back, right? Um...you don't have to duck hatchets like that often, do you?"
  25. ...Right. Okay. So, this man is likely a Rian if only for how little a hold on his temper he seems to have. It's not like she can complain much about that, though--though it's a cold anger at the moment she's still full of rage herself. The difference, though, is she reacts that angrily to actual provocation, and he seems to blow up due to an innocent comment. Though...now she thinks about it more she'd probably have a similarly furious response if someone pressed at one of her sorer spots...perhaps not to that extent, but she wouldn't be civil about it. Maybe he had a similar issue? ...She can't offer any advice on it anyhow. Any advice except to get even with whoever caused that pain, anyways. It's probably something to talk about with him later, maybe. Once he doesn't feel like lashing out at his own allies.
