  1. *thinking face* @Alphagar would you like to explain why you don't think that for a second? I'd like to know.
  2. Actually Kiet, if Hypurr, Dive, and I are all claiming the same spot on the list, then TWO of us have to be lying. Dive has claimed investigator, and since he has never been jailed by Kiet, @Jason Grace if you are the investigator, please share what you have learned over the past two nights. We're this close to losing, and everyone has to put their information on the table if we're to figure out who is the better choice to lynch. Are they both maf? Are one maf and one a neutral party? I'm leaning towards Hypurr being maf and Dive being a third party, but the second bit about Dive is only a hunch. I don't have a whole lot of compelling arguments or evidence as to why Dive may be lying about his role, but I'm throwing ideas out in the hopes someone has evidence in whisper logs or something.
  3. ookay people. Nano seems to be not-so-subtly suggesting we're in LYLO which means we gotta get rid of someone. I was jailed by Kiet last night, which tied me up, thanks. I'm going to give my thoughts on people still alive first. Kiet is the jailer, there's not a lot to debate, because he's jailed me and Hypurr, and we're both still ok Hypurr is the doctor, which seems to be a complete lie now. I'll elaborate later on, but Lia's death and role reveal complicates things. I honestly don't have a read on who Amine/Alphagar could be, due to Amine's lack of activity day 1, so I'm gonna be watching how Alphagar contributes this phase. Dive seems clearly town-aligned, he's been helping with breaking down what's been happening, figuring out night 1 deaths, etc. I also don't think there's a whole lot to debate here. Lykos seems town-aligned to me, but there are three maf, so IMO it's either him or Alphagar I'm suspicious of Drak for sure because of how quick he was to antagonize Baz, but I know one thing for sure: With Lia's death, there is absolutely no doubt that Hypurr is mafia. Let me explain. currently, the roles we know about are (sorted by category): Town Investigative: spy, spy, spy, investigator Town Protective: Doctor Town Killing: Veteran Mafia Support: Consort Neutral Evil: Jester Because there are a whopping four investigative roles, it leaves only ONE free 'random town' slot left. Therefore you would assume Hypurr is the last random town. Except that's a lie. I am the Sheriff. On the first night, I investigated Bean, and on the second night, I was jailed. Kiet can corroborate that, and he can also corroborate that Nicki shared information via whispers with me on the past day phase (I knew that Lia had claimed spy to Kiet via whispers). You need only check the whisper log to see Kiet whispering to both Nicki and Lia, and then me whispering to Nicki soon after she asked me to reveal my role. The reason I didn't reveal my role publicly was that it seemed likely I was the only investigative role left, and I didn't want to draw attention to myself (Now I know that I am). I realize that revealing this now will probably get me killed, and we'll be back in LYLO by the next day phase, but we have to lynch a mafia to not lose, and this seems to me to be the most reliable way. I also would like to add that if he is Neutral Killing, it's highly likely that Hypurr is an arsonist. There have been no werewolf attacks, which would only be the case if the hypothetical werewolf tried visiting me (who was jailed). I think that's how the werewolf works, from reading the wiki. If that doesn't make sense, someone please tell me. If he is maf, my point still stands in that there is still an Arsonist running around that could possibly kill large numbers of us at any point. Regardless, [vote] Hypurr
  4. (sorry for double post but) This will also serve to check which of our many speculated situations are true, whether or not there is a cult, and whether or not Cass has lost her role Unless of course you know already that only you'll be lynched even though the votes should add up to 5:5 (assuming Dive didn't mess up the vote count)
  5. Doesn't Cass's vote count for two? If Dive's count is correct, L'Belle and Astra's votes on you after that count mean 5 on you and 6 on Alaris. Taking my vote off Alaris and onto myself will leave 5 on you and 5 on Alaris. Am I wrong?
  6. Or the mafia collectively decided NOT to stab anyone night 0 so they could coordinate Alaris' credibility. The stab didn't necessarily fail, it just didn't happen. This way, Alaris gains town cred, and the healer gets tied up healing someone that doesn't need it night 1. I'm also curious as to why you only consider "The healing role never visited me or visited me but their action failed". I'm pretty sure the healer wouldn't be notified if they visited someone that didn't need it, only if their action was blocked in any way (someone correct me if they disagree). If you consider this, only the two maf kills would have failed, because the N1 stab didn't happen and the N2 stab was successful. We can only speculate what caused the doctor not to heal Amber (roleblocking? Healing someone they thought was more important? Scummy vibes so they just let Amber die? idk), but ultimately it worked out in our favor anyways because a third party is dead. It's possible Cass received the banana before Lykos died last night? Speaking of, Cass, when did you get the banana?
  7. There's a whole lot of speculation and not a whole lot of genuinely convincing arguments, but this is probably the best bet. I guess I'm repeating others at this point but two Veterans seems a bit unlikely considering the roles we know about now, and Baz's lack of conviction/contribution doesn't help his case [guilty]
  8. @Jason GraceBean's suggestion is quite simple in that if Nicki is culted, Eric is telling the truth about the last maf. If there is only one maf (who Nicki claims is Alaris), you could only be either a third party Tiki or a Kong. I ruled out third party because I don't think you would bus Nicki (who in this case would be on your team). I'm not sure about this theory though, I was just explaining it as another possibility because Bean brought it up. One thing that just came to me is the possible win conditions of the third party. Assuming that a cult does exist, I was wondering if there are any situations (you did say in 'regular' games after all) where the cult doesn't have to be eliminated for the town to win. More importantly, is it possible that the game would end once we eliminate the maf, even though there are third parties still alive. Alaris' roleclaim is a little sketchy imo, my vote will stay where it is.
  9. Lol I forgot but: my vote because of reasons above: [eliminate] Alaris Any way I look at it, lynching Alaris is the best bet
  10. This entire argument between Nicki, Dive and Alaris kinda reeks of something, and I agree wholeheartedly with Bean. All the points made above seem to point to both Dive and Alaris being somewhat scummy, whether it be maf or cult (I think they're more likely cultists but more on why later). Let me explain why I got this vibe. Most of the discussion lately hinges on two key posts: 1, Eric's post last day revealing members of his team had been culted, and 2, Nicki's roleclaim and subsequent vote on Alaris. Addressing Eric first, the question is whether or not he's telling the truth. I think he is. Eric would really only have one reason to lie, which is to mislead us from the number of maf members still alive. But making us think there are less maf members than are actually alive is not so useful. If we play intelligently, the number of maf left over wouldn't matter as long as we consider all possibilities, not to mention we'd find out the truth as soon as the next mafia dies. IMO there's no good reason why Eric would lie about that. Also keep in mind the first person to bring up the cult in the first place was Lykos. Lykos, as the 'banana giver' would be even less likely to lie about the existence of a cult, regardless of how he knew about it. (If he didn't know there was a cult, I heavily doubt he would blatantly lie saying there is one). Nicki's roleclaim as a non-Kong character doesn't help her case, but let's assume she's lying about the roleclaim for the sake of argument. Her blatant claim gets Alaris lynched today, and then what? She's killed at night by a vig, or best case scenario she's lynched the next day. Even if Eric is lying and there are still two or three maf members left, Nicki's claim would still be an eye-for-an-eye situation, and would be a terrible mafia strategy. (Keep in mind if Eric is lying about a cult, the town still outnumbers maf by enough that Nicki's strategy would not guarantee a win). So, assuming Nicki is telling the truth about the roleclaim, it's quite telling that the only people who argue against her vehemently deny that the cult exists. Are both Dive and Alaris culted? Are only one of them culted? I might need to sit on that thought and see responses before I decide. (Alaris mentions other cult members should have died, but in a closed setup, this might not be the case. I know for one that my role is definitely modified from existing traditional roles) I want to as @cicada some questions though to clear this up maybe 1. Do you see Third Parties as town, maf, or third parties 2. And do you know whether your investigation happens before or after the cult recruits someone (Assuming there is a cult). Of course there's one more possibility that was brought up, which is that Nicki is a culted Mafia trying to bring down Alaris. Also very possible, but this post is running really long so I'll say that this leaves Dive as an innocent town, Alaris as Eric's last remaining maf, and Nicki as a cult member. Not a whole lot of evidence for this, but it's a possibility. I also want to add I did like 2 minutes of research about the donkey kong characters, and the character that Amber died as, Kalimba, is only a Tiki Tribe miniboss. I find it doubtful that Seal would include a Tiki miniboss and not the Final Tiki boss of Donkey Kong Country Returns. Just saying. This points to Kongs being turned into Tikis upon being culted, and that in fact, Amber IS NOT THE LEADER OF THE CULT
  11. I don't really want to put someone on trial without evidence, but I do think that Baz's contributions have been not so useful so far [Vote] Bazaro
  12. What's with the serious lack of votes y'all??? We should put someone on trial at some point, and right now we need to get more of us talking. Vote for someone, people.
  13. Thanks for the info Nicki~ I'm not going to roleclaim yet because of the werewolf possibility, but I'd be happy to once we can reasonably decide there isn't (or that they're dead). I can't really add anything to Nicki's analysis, she's covered pretty much everything. I would like to suggest protecting Kiet, however (but ultimately your decision Hypurr, if you are the doctor). The Jailor is important now that we've lost this many powerful town roles, and Nicki is somewhat protected by her role (I doubt the mafia/neutral parties are suicidal). I also want to suggest definitely writing some information in your last wills if you have information you haven't shared. It could be very helpful if you suddenly up and die before you can share your findings. I'm inclined to believe Hypurr innocent for now, so my vote will go to Amine for being the only one not to respond to a vote on them (and also being the only one not to have posted yet). [Vote] Amine
  14. Ok I looked at the ToS roles and Town Killing: Veteran: Decide if you will go on alert and kill anyone who visits you. (To me this sounds like a Granny role that can be activated at night if they so choose) Also, according to Nano's Role list on the discord, there are at least one town killing role, if not more (due to the random towns). The question is whether there are more than one veteran, because in my opinion it seems very unlikely that all four of the veteran's kills visited the same person. What do y'all think? Losing our doctor to the maf on the first real night as well as losing our investigator puts us in a tricky spot as well. Having no last wills from any of them also is a little oof. Not entirely sure where to start on this other than to ask if anyone has information to share? With all these people visiting each other, I'm hoping someone learned something
  15. None of you are in the mafia chat. So obviously none of you are mafia duh. ... ... In all seriousness what is the point of this day? To introduce ourselves? I feel like we would've just started on a night phase if this first day didn't serve some purpose for someone. Does anyone have any daytime actions or are there only night actions?
  16. Astra said she gave Cass a gift, but never specified a gun I think, which is why I ask this question
  17. Wait hold up did I miss something? You all pointed out that Lykos knew of a cult, yes. But how did Newt know that Cass could shoot before her telling us? If I just overlooked a post I apologize, and please ignore everything below, but if I'm right, that strikes me as alarming in two possible ways. 1) Newt and Cass are on the same team, either maf (very unlikely) or a cult (much more likely in light of new info, considering Cass could have been culted night 1) 2) Newt just exposed himself as an information gathering role, meaning more for the doctor/protecter/whoever it is in this game has one more person to worry about. I hope it's option number two (or that I just made a mistake and overlooked something) but what do you all think?
  18. Oh crap, forgot about that lmao. Ignore that thought xD Well that only strengthens what I thought that some of those people are maf, so watching the patterns of those people will probably be a good idea
  19. I have a hunch some of these people who voted Astra are definitely maf. The speed with which the votes piled onto her is definitely a little alarming with little more than "I agree with previous people". Of course I'm not saying they're all maf, but some very likely are. (And of course this is assuming Astra and Cass are not working together, which should be considered as well, no matter how unlikely) And is it just me or did Alaris completely forget Cass' existence hmMmM I think my vote will stay where it was yesterday and [Eliminate] Eric
  20. Dunno why Jace is doing this but I don't think we should give him what he wants for a couple of reasons If Jace is maf, he wouldn't want himself to die unless it somehow gives his team a huge boost, thus lynching him is a bad idea (which is probably the most important point) If Jace is town we lose town power, thus lynching him is a bad idea. If Jace is some sort of Jester, lynching him means he wins, thus lynching him is a bad idea. And that's not even considering Jace's ominous 'bad things will happen to someone' warning. But we don't have any leads or evidence or even any dead people yet so I think I'm going to follow my gut and [eliminate] Eric nobody better bandwagon because I'm probably wrong.
  21. Seal did say that "everyone decided about their night actions" So I assume the mafia did try to kill and failed for whatever reason, which is nice owo Regarding mafia potential, I assume King K Rool is in this game, but other than that, I'm not too sure. There is a cat lady it looks like, probably a shopkeeper from the series but I don't know Donkey Kong characters too well, so can't say for sure. The real question is Jace why did you roleclaim so early? There's absolutely no reason to, and if you dying means bad things happening to someone, wouldn't that just be an incentive for maf to kill you early?
