as said by @LykosHand, the rules are simple like: 1) You will tell the pokemons I should use to fight a particular gym leader. 2) Then I'll train them and set the moves as per you will suggest. Is it the same that is being done by FactoryofSadness??

many poison types can learn counter, like nidoran,crogunk etc. But its an egg move, So u have to breed it.

I'm afraid that ice beam wont help coz u will be max at lvl 45 and the garchomp is lvl 75.... it will hardly give a scratch.

Well, as far I remember, to will fight Solaris and his garchomp next...right? So may be you need a pokemon with counter and give it a focus sash. I would also like to see a Nidoking with the ability:Sheer force and Flamethrower as a move.

I too like Alakazam I sometimes think that its MEGA form could be more appeling than what its now.
