You can try going back further by 1 or 2
remember to move/rename/delete current game.rxdata before renaming the numbered one corresponding to the spot your in so if your playing game slot 2 it would be game_2 back up saves you would be looking at -

Seems about right, you can try using wine but Big Sur as far as Ik doesn't like rpg maker in general
or u can use a virtual machine or make a patrician on mac drive -

Come to find out after doing a bit of research, that this was most likely due to my save file being corrupted, so after reading another thread, I tried using one of the many backup sav files by deleting the original "Game.rxdata" file and renaming the highest number backup save to "Game.rxdata" and I tried this with multiple backup saves and it didn't work, I still get the same error message.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I'd appreciate the help and thanks in advance.
try extracting the game again?
