Try extracting reborn again and using g new extraction

EDIT: No mods running, just base game from the unzip.
Please help.
Somethings I have tried:
Extract the downloaded zip files with "admin" mode. (this is after deleting the existing files from any previous extraction).
Download it from all four links on the download page (Windows).

Usually martial format errors are corrupt data so use a back up of that save

Try swm mod it has unreal time and weather select mods which should fix both issues

There should be numbered saves if u rename one to game u shouldn't have to start again

First, find your save folder!
Windows: C:/Users/[Your User Name]/Saved Games/Pokemon Reborn/Game.rxdata
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Pokemon Reborn/Game.rxdata
Linux: ~/.local/share/Pokemon Reborn
Then, remove Game.rxdata (or rename it to something else), find your most recent backup in the folder, and rename that file to be Game.rxdata instead. That's all!
In any of the above cases, replace "Pokemon Reborn" with a different game name, like "Pokemon Rejuvenation" to find those files instead. -

I actually referred to your Pokemon location guide for Chikorita because I wasn't sure, it said after 7th gym badge, so I thought it was after Noel lol
I haven't had time to look into when exactly it triggers hopefully next weekend can look into a few things to clarify a few things like that

in theory you should be able to progress, idt train puzzle locks you out, should have a way to move train back or something

Sorry for the very late reply. Mac automatically hides saves as read only's Press Command + Shift + . (period) show show hidden files in a path this should help in finding the saves

@Amethyst would probably know them but they are super busy
as for trading u would need 2 computers with 2 different usernames or try and use swm mod shared pc box and restart

sometimes they corrupt in batches sadly it's a known thing rpg maker does that can't really be fixed
