  1. After collecting up the child Friedhold turned with interest to watch Dackly or more specifically to watch Dackly dump armor, ingots, and scrap into a pot then pour it's glowing contents into small bottles. Fascinated he slowly set down the child and began walking over to the stone and plant duo. He had almost made his way over there when a strange cloaked man and (metal?) woman walked up and started asking questions. So he politely waited until there seemed to be a break in conversation before he spoke "I find all of this talk of magic highly interesting as my own world seems to lack anything of the sort. My name is Friedhold, I don't believe I've met any of you around the castle before."
  2. Friedhold: After the collapse of the truck Friedhold took several seconds to look over the child and make sure she wasn't hurt. Of course she wasn't hurt, she always seemed to know the exact right place to stand to not get hit by anything. "Daddy, daddy, look over there, that man's gonna be an angel soon. Let's go see." As she said this she immediately began skipping over to where the general was being held captive by Dackly and crew. Friedhold sighed and shook his head some, then started walking after the girl. The girl made it over just as D&G finished removing the man's armor, her eyes seemed glossed over and out of focus, and when she spoke it was with several voices at once. "I can already see the light coming from his tummy, we just need to kick him a few more times first daddy." She then approached the man as if to kick him, luckily Friedhold had caught up by this time and picked her up before she could assault the man any further. "That's enough of that. What have I told you about running off after angels without asking first?" Her eyes came back into focus and she simply stared down at the ground, pouting much like the child she was. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Morgan: Morgan leaned against a wall cleaning his sword and watching the various exchanges between the group. After finishing he sheathed his sword and walked over the the group left behind by this castle's leader. He approached the one holding a glaive(Wyvis) who had helped cut down the enemies surrounding Morgan before. "Thanks, you helped get me out of a tight spot back there. I don't believe I've gotten your name yet though, I'm Morgan." He extended a friendly handshake to the man.
  3. Morgan: Morgan started to pull against the thorns but quickly decided he'd do better to not as the thorns began to tighten and twist as he struggled. He weighed his situation for a moment, trapped in magical thorns, surrounded by armed men, and standing next to a mage who could take a hit. All and all he came to the conclusion that it was time to leave, so leave he did. Warping away by punching a hole in the veil and likely taking more than a few pieces of bramble with him, a bit less precise than he would have liked but if it works it works. Morgan's intended target would be to warp to the book hovercraft, then begin healing those that may be hurt. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Friedhold: After the third use of gravity well Friedhold sat back down on the truck bed exhausted, expending so much energy at once was very tiring. He pulled out his Eve hypo and injected the thick blue liquid, the effect was immediate, giving him the energy to stand and continue fighting for a while longer though he opted to use the gravity well a little more sparingly.
  4. Morgan: Morgan watched the bulbous wisp-like creature gorge itself on the magical energies impacting with the craft. The thing had eaten so much in the last few minutes that it look almost tangible. The thing puffed, repositioning itself with a slight huffing sound "Funny, it only ever does that when.." Morgan barely had time to lift his blade before a bolt of lightning slammed into it arcing to the craft and sending him staggering back. He sighed in relief, he wasn't dead, a bit shocked, but not dead. He turned to the others on the craft, his blade shimmering brightly in gold, pink, and purple hues. "I'm going on a walk, I'll be back in a minute." He then turned back around and with a slashing motion disappeared into the night. *On the ground* A particularly unlucky and lightning happy officer would have the unpleasant experience of a 300lb+ mage suddenly appearing behind them and slamming a magically charged great-sword(capable of burning through light vehicle armor at this point.) into their back, then disappearing just as quickly. ((Basically Teleport Splicer on one of the officers)) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Friedhold: Friedhold sent out another sonic boom reflecting only a handful of the arrows flying at the truck. He needed to try something new, so instead of another blast of air and sound he drew a small black pearl like object into existence and then threw it so it would detonate over the nearest archer group. His hope was that the gravity well would grab the arrows out of the air and then release a rain of death over the archers. It this worked well he would attempt to use it to redirect large amounts of arrows in between sonic booms.
  5. Friedhold would have moved from Solomon's hovercraft to D&G's truck mostly because flight was a poor choice for the young girl who had grown all her life underwater and was thus terrified by the sky. Either way Friedhold uses Sonic Boom to try and reflect arrows away from the vehicle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Morgan on the other hand climb onto Solomon's hovercraft due to it being one of the few vehicles with enough room for him to work. He bends over and inspects several of the books while asking Solomon "Where did you get all of these?" Once the battle begins however he takes the defensive, trying to block or reflect what arrows he can and occasionally returning the favor by using Suffer on the archers.
  6. Morgan was about to step up and speak, offering his own services as a mage to the woman when Lexiel managed to drop down no more than four feet in front of him and begin her own spiel. He simply sighed and shook his head, visible from in front of Lexiel due to his height. He raised an eyebrow in response to Nounaga's name. He hadn't pay much attention in world history class but that name did strike a familiar bell. He stepped around from behind Lexiel and asked "My name is Voidwalker Morgan Cassius, trained by the College of Spires, the seat of power in the Southern Mires of the world of Zauberwelt. What exactly is this contract?"
  7. Friedhold would take Solomon up on his offer of a ride while Morgan would walk keeping pace with the majority of the group, blinking forward to keep up if need be.
  8. Lexiel summons a Hypersonic Dragon and orders it to attack Warrior horde B. Samantha makes a Basic attack against Archer battalion.
  9. As the mist flooded the battlefield Morgan felt something was off, when suddenly he was struck by a tide of memory that overpowered him. The blink of an eye later and he was standing near the base of a large hill, he felt the crunch of basalt under his feet, and noticed the scent of a distant forest fire. Surrounding him were friends and allies, some were exhausted, injured, nearly broken from the battle, and yet still alive, but most were nothing more than mindless husks in the enemy's attacking force, stripped of their consciousness, controlled, and used as weapons of war. He looked to the top of the hill and saw it, an unnatural mass of twisting, writhing flesh and flanked by tendrils of black smoke. The creature that start this war that killed so many. Then he blinked and it was gone, the whole scene just vanished and he returned to the world of the waking. He saw the additional skeletal creatures appear and so decided it was time to get to work again. Morgan uses "Soul Mend" on Samantha, Empi, and Navin restoring 18 HP(Syn*2) each. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When the mist engulfed Friedhold it took him a moment to notice anything but slowly he started hearing whispers, voices started surrounding him speaking in anger, sadness, and most of all pain. Men, women, and children crying out and begging for mercy, for him to fix them, for an end to their misery. As the mist died away so did the voices, but the experience left Friedhold shaken. Friedhold uses "Winter Blast" on Warrior Horde B to try and increase damage dealt to them by 25% for the next 4 turns, extra damage is cold, costs 6 Eve(4/20).
  10. Friedhold uses "Sonic Boom" again to try and knock some of the Beasts into the crackpot, costs 2 Eve(7/20). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Morgan uses "Basic Attack" on the Beasts dealing 2d10+Str(8) damage.
  11. Morgan uses "Soul Mend" on himself, Jade, and Kino restoring Syn*2(18) HP each and dealing 15 pure damage to himself in the process. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Friedhold turns just in time to see several skeletons jump into the large crackpot and dissolved into a thin slurry. So that's what they were doing. So he charged a blast of force and with it sent as many skeletons flying into the crackpot as possible. Friedhold uses "Sonic Boom" to try and fling as many skeletons as he can into the crackpot, knocking them prone in the process, and damaging them slightly (8 sonic damage), cost 2 Eve(6/20).
  12. Friedhold[37/45] seeing the others turn their attention away from the warriors decided that someone needed to keep an eye on them and thus unleashed a swarm of furious bee on the largest horde of warriors. Friedhold uses "Insect Swarm II" on the largest group of warriors dealing 2d4 pure damage each turn for the next 8 turns, cost 10 Eve(5/20). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Morgan[41/60] noted the group of beasts as the greatest threat and so executed his attack on them. Morgan uses "Teleport Splicer" on the DT:Beasts dealing (2d10+8)*2.5 damage.
  13. Friedhold would look around for a split second to determine friend from foe before lobbing a slick black pearl-like object at one of the nearest groups of enemies. Friedhold uses "Gravity Well" on DTW:A dealing 5d6 damage to six of the warriors, costs 8 Eve(12/20). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Morgan takes several seconds to study the location and actions of allies and enemies alike while preparing to attack. Morgan begins charging "Teleport Splicer".
  14. Morgan catches the deflector, then slices several pieces off the metroid corpse before leaving back through the portal.
  15. As the monster slams into Mot Morgan take the opportunity to begin his assault, warping in and out with each strike he unleashes a flurry of blades against the creature's underside. Uses "Teleport Splicer" dealing 2.5 times basic damage(2d10+[Str](8))
  16. Morgan jumps out of the way of the exploding door and draws his sword. He tries to avoid getting hit while waiting for an opening to strike. Uses "Teleport Splicer" charge turn.
  17. Morgan steps through the portal and into the cave, boots crunching on loose gravel and bits of torn metal. He didn't much like caves, all that extra matter weighed on the fabric of reality and made it harder to draw magic in from the void, not impossible, just hard. He passingly glanced at the metal woman who came in before him, then proceeded to inspect the area looking for any sighs of what sort of creature they might be chasing.
  18. Aelius approached the hovercraft cautiously before determining it's relative safety and climbing aboard.
  19. Morgan simply sighed as he still held the handle of his wand near his forehead. "Well, I'm glad it worked, and I can't even say this is the worst back-fire I've gotten from a ritual." Morgan smiled and turned around to look at the other three "You all should get in a good laugh while you can as well." Morgan then walks over towards Lexiel and runs his foot through each of the four large rings breaking the circles and releasing Lexiel. "I'll be returning shortly." Morgan says as he fade from view. Once in the void and sufficiently far from the castle Morgan uses the near infinite mana in the void combined with his own knowledge to rip the wand off his forehead and rebind the curse tricking it into simply holding together his wand, making it near indestructible. When he returned to the castle you would see a red stripe of still slightly irritated skin where the wand had been stuck, but none the less his wands was in his hand and with it he cleaned up the remaining ritual and then picked up the marble rook returning it to his bag. "I believe I managed to rebind the curse, it should now be holding together my wand making it near unbreakable. So it seems we both got something out of the deal."
  20. Morgan smiles slightly, "Good, that means it'll be a challenge. And don't worry, I'll take the proper precautions. Now I'm going to have to ask you to stand over here." He gestured to a fairly clear and clean area in the center of the room. Morgan then reached into his bag a pulled out three pieces of chalk, a pure white chalk, a grey chalk with black speckles, and a yellowish brown chalk. He painstakingly drew five circles on the ground around Lexiel, the outer two in grey and the second from the inside brown. He draws a series of repeating, arching glyphs in white in the innermost ring. In the next ring he uses brown and draw a series of glyphs that seem to depict something being cut or broken. On the third ring he uses grey chalk, drawing shields and fracture lines leading to them, he draws similar glyphs in the fourth ring albeit offset from the last ring. Next he draws four smaller circles connected to the larger group, one in white, one in brown, and two in grey. More glyphs in these circles, a spiral in the small white circle, a seemingly random pattern in the small brown circle, and a regular pattern made of strait lines in the two small grey circles. He finally puts the chalk away and removes several other things from his bag, a carved white marble statue of a tower or rook, a small knife, and two small fragmented pieces of some sort of opalescent crystal. The marble rook goes in the small white circle, the two crystals go in the grey circles and with the knife he cuts the back of his forearm, dripping blood into the brown circle. With that done he cleans and returns the knife to his bag, and then pulls out his wand. With it he scratches glyphs into the air around the many circles, and slowly knits them together to form a single large net or web around the ritual. Morgan steps back and looks at his work, "Not bad if I say so myself." He reaches into his bag again and pulls out yet another(and larger) piece of that strange crystal, he holds it in one hand and his wand in the other. He raises his wand and with it starts the ritual, all three crystals begin glowing and the blood seems to evaporate into a fine red mist, the rook simply stands there seemingly unchanged. "I forgot to mention" Morgan shouts through the defensive wards "This is going to hurt more than that banishing spell.". As the ritual progressed slowly the blood mist would be consumed and Lexiel would feel as if someone was running a scalpel around her head where her halo now rests, though no wounds would seem to come of it. Should the ritual backfire three layers of defensive wards help protect Morgan and Marisa, while a single inner ward of reflection protects Lexiel.
