      Maybe Fern is only a dick to other humans and is actually quite kind to Pokemon?

       

      ...yeah, that is the only explanation I can think of.

       

      And I agree, his Roserade is a freaking nightmare to deal with.

      I've beaten him. Tried to slow it down as much as possible with Rock tombs and Bulldoze to be able to outspeed it. Then I used Leer to lower its defense and then I finished it off with Excadrill and dig
