The Sheriff nodded as he ate his chicken. If he was bothered by the spice he didn't show it. He wasn't of course, this was the best food he'd had in weeks. If it wasn't for not knowing how to ask politely he would have seen if he could get some more of it.

Arminus nods in understanding. "Well, we could just ask someone. But if we don't see anyone we should probablyjust start walking around yeah. Three pairs of eyes and all." -
Arminus picks up his goblin and points at her. "I'm gonna throw her at one of them. Then when things resolve themselves ask one of them where they keep their loot politely." Arminius lets the goblin drop to the floor which prompts a huff from her.

"If the law hasn't taken them away, we might as well do it, eh? Besides, druggies are fucking sad cases but they don't help anyone." Arminius shrugs.

Arminius wrinkles his nose at the view. "Lovely.... So what do we do now? Personally I think it might be a good idea to scout out local stuff to do... maybe see about getting one of those "Assault Rifles" you mentioned."

Arminus nods at the information given to him. "Probably gonna be good to get a little of everything... so what about security here? What's common stuuf to see?"

Arminius nods in understanding. "Ah. Yes that does sound useful... Oh, what about bombs? Those are useful."

Arminius stares at her for a while before realizing her problem. "Is that like those thunder sticks Dwarves make?" She'd probably realize that Arminius' world is around the medieval era at this point.

Arminius nods at that. "Okay, that's good to know... how about any weapons we could make? Preferably ones that let me be a long way away from my target."

"So do you know anything about the gangs in the area beyond their... gimmicks? You know, obvious signs of their territory, common loadouts... anything to look out for if you're sneaking into one of their operations?" Arminius asks conversationally as he follows Soma.

"There's a difference between wanting to help and not wanting to attack someone that can make giant pillars of fire consistently. Mostly the fact that being charred like a piece of meat doesn't assist in helping people." Arminius looks rather annoyed. This is one of the things he didn't like about samurai types, the willingness to die for their beliefs.

"I really don't feel like getting toasted. Can the people not fond of that just go with you to our base and the... other guys can do what they want?" It sounded like he was going to say idiots.

Arminius looks at the flames before turning to Soma. "Lets see that warehouse."

Arminius nods. "Well, since you mention them, how about you tell us about the clans? On my world I know they tend to speacilize in certain things like subterfuge and mounted units."

Arminius shrugs at the inquiry of Satomi. "It's probably best if you, as we say where I'm from, fake it until you make it. Basically, if you pretend to know what you're doing, no one will question you about it." He pauses to think for a bit before turning to face the short woman again. "By the way, since you mentioned the possible differences of Samurai from your world, mind if I ask some more questions about them?"

"Probably people from nearby areas? Since they're apparently close to Japanese in looks but are named differently... We should probably keep you away from them either way. As much as I'm interested in disrupting this "Empire 88" having a teammate forced into prostitution isn't good.... Not that there's anything wrong with prostitution in general, it's a very respectable career." Arminius wags his finger as he ends off his sentence.

"Ah... Miss Somatotrope? Where do these guys tend to operate from?" There's a certain tenseness to his polite tone that is worrying.

"What's a nazi?" Arminius says, finally pulling his sight off of the various buildings and people.

Arminius nods. He probably would respond if he wasn't busy staring at things in surprise. Also surprising was all the humans that looked normal. He was told there were a lot of villians so he expected some monsters but no on even looked remotely eccentric here.

Arminius shrugs at the securely dressed mans question while he follows the toga clad woman. "... wait, you understand emotions? Is this a thing all stars experience or is this new...?" He trails off as he ponders the implications of stars feeling.

Arminius pats Bandit on the shoulder. "Yeah, it's a damn shame, but what's important is that you get through it and don't let it get you down." when Fingers drops back onto Arminus' shoulder s he turns to the doctor and shrugs in a manner that says, "whoops, to late".

It takes Arminius a minute to think of a description. "It's an empire composed of most of the midland that's always been less than tolerant of most monsters. Used to be they'd just order the guards to kill them on sight and occasionally hunt an especially "dangerous" one. But a couple years ago after losing a war pretty badly this guy pulled a coup and started spouting shit about the threat of monsters to the purity of the land and stuff, just really stirring people up to go on the offensive against monsters. No one really tried to stop them of course, they didn't want to start a fight with them after the last war... but then they suddenly started taking the remaining parts of the Midlands and before you know it, they'd taken a chunk of land to the north with the Northerners taking the rest. Finally they just went and declared war on the country I'm home to and pretty much destroyed us. We've been in the Southernlands ever since pretty much."

Arminius shrugs. "I figure getting a feel on how close we are to the walls of the city would be for the best. It's not like we can really do much good if we're stuck in the slums or something, right?"

Arminius scratches his head in thought. "Uh... well, among the important things is that the Reich decided that it was given a mission by the Chief God to exterminate all monsters and anyone that tolerates them... They've uh, they've been doing a pretty good job of it considering they've pushed into the North and the deserts to the south... Things aren't uh... looking really good. Actually my camp was in the middle of losing a battle when I got the call, I was a second away from being charred by a fire elemental."
