  1. Arminius is also up bright and early, Minisquealer showing herself to be a surprisingly good pillow. His new outfit is very very similar to Bandit's, being black jeans, a black t-shirt, combat boots and an army jacket. He's removed any patches from it and carefully set them aside. He walks over to Calvera whrn he's all in order. "See? Told you this would be a good style for us."
  2. Arminius looks exasperated. "Shit, what can't it fix? It fixes a lack of joy, makes you braver, makes you forget bad memories for a while... hell, you can use strong stuff to disinfect wounds!"
  3. "Well, most medicine can make humans sick with too much of it, but it fixes what ails them in the right doses. Same thing with alcohol, if you drink responcibly you just get pleasantly drunk."
  4. "It's slang for alcohol. It's great stuff, loosens inhibitions, makes you feel good... but to much makes you sick so watch that. I'll see if we can pick some up while we're out. And paper doesn't have much value. It's basically got an agreed upon value that people follow because it's just so convenient." Arminius shrugs.
  5. Arminus shrugs. "Well, typically civilizations need currency like this to get around problems with trading things like how many bags of grain is a cow worth and how to give someone half a sheep. This way you can just give people this money and they give you their wares.... Oh! Speaking of wares, you've never had booze have you?"
  6. Arminius stands and after a moment of going through the cash from the earlier attack again takes a sum of 100 "dollars" from it. He drops the rest of the cash where he was before nodding to Bandit. "I saw a shop with clothes in it not terribly far from here. I was thinking we'd try there." Arminius summons MiniSquealer as he starts heading for the door with his companions.
  7. As the laser impacted Sheriff's chest and left a gaping hole he was struck with a slight feeling of deja vu. He didn't have time to think on it though as his suddenly exposed insides drained his life. A halo briefly appeared over his head before shattering with a distinctive noise. He'd be back.
  8. Arminius is conflicted for a moment over whether he should see if she was really serious. His brain immediately took over and he shook his head. "That's not quite the problem. I'm more concerned about the impracticality of wearing a toga when we can easily get you something more applicable to our work... which also makes it harder for you to be noticed because you aren't the only person wearing a toga anymore."
  9. Arminius looks up at Bandit's making herself known. He nods politely as he stares for a bit. It's unnerving almost until he finally speaks. "We need to get you some more modern clothes. I mean, apparently even plate armor isn't that odd, but not even satrys wear togas."
  10. "Probably thought you could make a difference." He pauses to think for a bit. With a shrug he continues. "Or they pick people at random. The celestial bureaucracy doesn't seem the most organised."
  11. When the woman takes off the helmet Arminius finally puts away his gun. "Well, given she doesn't look like anyone from this world, and she hasn't tried killing us... I'd say she's a new recruit." He turns to Lucille. "You're here to prepare people for trespassers right?"
  12. "You can't even remember if it's evening or morning. I think that warrants some concern." Seeing as the stranger is still quiet, Arminius waits for them to say... anything really.
  13. A loud slap rings out as Arminius' hand impacts his face. At least this wasn't like her rushing off without any support... "Lilly for fucks sake, didn't your parents ever tell you to not talk to strangers? Or at least not pester them with questions like that."
  14. Having wanted nothing more than to rest, Arminius wasn't very happy with the intrusion of a new figure, especially one that was menacing and unknown. The blind one would hear him as he switched the safety off his gun and held it ready for them to react.
  15. The Sheriff wasn't all that interested in a fight. Especially against the... Weird child mutant? Whatever it was, it was clearly scared out of it's mind which made it really dangerous in this scenario. He opened fire with his machine gun, hoping to end this unscathed but the disorientation combined with a lack of aim made his shots... well they basically flew off into the distance without any of them coming close. Unfortunately, his opponent was some how more accurate and proceded to blast him with lasers, adding some cuts and burns to his clothes. With a frown he started retaliating...
  16. Seeing not much else to do, Arminius and friends begin to loot the building and people in it. For spare cash and crafting components mostly, drugs aren't useful if you don't have a buyer you like more than the bad guys.
  17. Arminius casually inspects the new holes in his minion. He wasn't very pleased of course, he liked his minions to only have holes that were there from the start. Of course, the other people around him would notice the glowing pink runes appearing around his body as the essence in the air is controlled and given form by his gift. Soon, a... well, actually the thing that appears is just a miniature version of Squealer, but in more work suited clothes. They don't cover more but they're more work suited. Arminius shrugs at Proditor. "Eh, C'est la vie."
  18. The sherrif shrugs and goes to follow the host. Hopefully he could score more food that tastes good and doesn't have a chance of killing him.
  19. Fingers would continue bashing junkies with glee. Arminius steals a gun from an unconcious enemy and if possible starts trying to fire at the one pulling a runner, mostly with the goal of kneecapping him.
  20. With a war cry that is less than intimidating Fingers gets to bashin' druggies. Arminius inspires Fingers.
  21. Arminius and Fingers would busy themselves with cutting off exits or otherwise making escapes harder without alerting the targets. They'd likewise be finding a less obvious entrance for them to use.
  22. "... I take it that they aren't just flour merchants." Fingers goes to get by a window she can actually climb in. Tactical flanking action and whatnot.
  23. Arminius nods, seemingly in deep thought. After a bit he nods again. "I see... Anyways, we were just patrolling and looking for any Merchant Activity. As it turns out, they're just smart enough to not fuck around in the open."
  24. "Well, depending on how you count it I'm either a hoped up shit head who's getting people into trouble for no reason, or I'm a captain who led a small group of men before they had to run from the paladins and I was apparently burned to naught but ash by a fire elemental... Do you lose your rank when you die? Because that might mean I'm officially a civilian now that I think of it..." Arminius ponders the question before shrugging. Bit late to ask that.
  25. "I'm assuming that you didn't hear me explaining to Satomi... well, if my guess is right and she has a similar culture to Zinpangu, Satomi-san, me and Fingers were fighting in a war against a genocidal empire called the Reich. Don't really know what happened with them beyond some crazy dude telling them that they had to purge the impure for the Chief God. Anyways, my country fell in with the category of being impure and they ended up steam rolling us and then murdering millions. So we're working under one of the Demon King's daughters as saboteurs, due to my natural charm," He smiles and winks at Soma and she could almost swear that she heard a light chime as the light sparkled off of one of his surprisingly clean teeth. "And occasionally as military commanders... Well, military commander and bodyguard." Fingers looks happy at being included.
