Bartek "Understood, Merlin! Stand behind Bartek, little friends! Bartek is on the job!" Indeed, Bartek starts lumbering forwards, a barrier up to intercept anything that might strike at him. A new day, a new challenge, and, even with what happened three days ago, Bartek was as ready as always. After all, as Mother Kemmerich had always said, "try not give up".

Bartek Bartek decides, after a moment of hesitation, to search the computers. He sighs as he does so, struggling to fit his rather large body into the cubicles. "Computer is made for smaller man. Bartek is not small man. I not understand why they don't use paper maps. Is so much easier to use." After a few minutes of struggling to type due to hitting two or more keys with one finger, let alone knowing how to use a computer, Bartek eventually locates a map of the facility. Giving himself a mental pat on the back, he calls out to Merlin. "Merlin! Bartek has found map on tiny man computer! Maybe you could use for teleporter, yes?"

Sachi Honda "E-eh?! W-watch out! Somebody heal her!" Sachi yells, as she runs towards Silef to protect her. Tower Stance on Silef (50% of the damage that would be taken by the target is taken by Sachi instead). Sachi regains 10% of her health per turn.

"Might as well get the same kinda dress. And one for myself. Ugh. I can't believe these things are so.....I don't even know the word....girly." Azusa, with a disdainful look, picks up a matching, larger dress from Rhythm Next and another one from Rosette Masquerade. She generally preferred a loose hoodie, a spare shirt and loose jeans herself; she never had truck with fine clothing like this.

Sophie - [Lancer and Sophie] "Alright? Did you find anything? Anyone nearby?" Sophie asks when Lancer reappears. She'd been making notes about the whole thing. They'd be useful, later, for whatever she wrote down. Assuming, of course, the mages didn't kill her, burn her notes and erase all traces of her from existence so that it was like she never existed. They could probably do that. It was magic, after all, and Sophie hardly knew the limits of it. For all she knew, magic made everything real, Santa Claus existed and she could head into her bathroom door right now to summon Bloody Mary with that stupid mirror thing children used to talk about. So, she had to keep her eyes and mind open. Nick and Jack Sloane - [Berserkers and Eleonore] Nick and Jack keep their eyes peeled on the road onwards. "Luv, if they 'ave a cannon, Nick and I think they'll 'ave a lot of 'em. On a big ship or summat. Probably one of 'em nautical Servant guys." "So of course, we're thinkin' that if we're goin' up against a guy with that, we ought to be a little careful." "So we were gon' find us a safe, hidden place to 'ave a look, see what we're dealin' with. You know, test the waters, yeah? If we're right, we're goin' to 'ave to think of a plan to deal with them." "Could be wrong and it might be just some guy with like, one cannon, but don't want to risk it in these Grail Wars, like." Nick and Jack say as they continue heading forwards, trying to find somewhere high, somewhere they could blend in, somewhere on the border of the district. If they were right, and their suspicions were completely founded, staying unseen as long as possible and hidden as long as could be would be the best idea. They were street brawlers and toughs at best; taking on an entire ship was beyond them, unless they could get onboard.

Bartek Bartek follows swiftly after Merlin, pulling up a small shield as he keeps close to her, his eyes searching the facility for enemies who might try to strike at her. He remains conspiciously silent near Merlin.

Bartek Bartek carefully catches Ice as she passes out, grunting a little at the surprise weight. He gently lays her down for the moment, trying to make sure he doesn't leave her in a position that damages her legs any further by moving back as he lays her down, a tactic he'd learned from laying down his far larger relatives to let them nap. He looks around, considering his options. Being that he was in better emotional and physical state than just about the entire group, his only injury being more or less a few grazes from being thrown across the floor by Ansuz, he could do anything Merlin set out. In practice, his abilities were best suited to backing up Merlin on a search for the medicine or protecting the injured allies they had here. "If Forge wants to leave, Bartek will stay and protect allies. Otherwise, if Merlin wants, Bartek will come with her to find medicine for comrades."

Bartek "Bartek thinks we should get anyone we can and go. Then Bartek make nice warm meal for everyone. Mother always said it helps, when people feeling sad, to eat warm food."

Sachi Honda Nothing left to be done but to keep attacking. Once on the path, she couldn't help but continue for the sake of her allies. Indeed, Sachi braces herself and strikes Cu! (Basic Attack: Deal 2d3+STR), applying Bonds of Friendship on Cu (enemies marked with this debuff grant 10% of the target's maximum health as healing to their attackers). Sophie - [Lancer and Sophie] "Alright. So, anything else we should do? If not, I'd like you to scout around, see if anyone's nearby. Stay unseen if possible. We're trying to probe the territory, not pick fights." Sophie, meanwhile, calculates her chances carefully. Most of her opponents were probably highly experienced magi, and she'd scarcely dipped her toe in the world of magic before she got herself embroiled in his nonsense. This wasn't her average scoop, but she could manage. Nick and Jack Sloane - [Berserkers and Eleonore] Nick and Jack both stare at Eleonore as if she's insane. "Luv, you sure 'bout this? That sounded like a cannon or summat went off." "Bruv, she's the Master. We got to follow 'er commands and that. Even if they're suicidal." "I don't think that's 'ow it works, bruv, but I ain't gon' argue technicalities 'ere. Fine, luv, your funeral." Nick and Jack turn on their motorcycles and turn in the direction of the northwestern residential district, Nick taking point and Jack lagging behind to keep their Master out of any trouble.

"We should probably buy something ,yeah. Can't hurt our chances if we dress up all pretty." Azusa still looks irritated about their last stage outing. Granted, their last stage outing involved them almost being killed.

Bartek Bartek witnesses the whole thing, still helping carry Sense's burden, as Gypsy faded, having sacrificed his life for Merlin. So that had been how she survived. Bartek presumed someone had had to had died for her if she was still alive; even Bartek himself, as strong as he was, didn't believe he could've taken such an attack, barrier or no barrier. Though perhaps Grandmother would've; she'd survived worse, or so Bartek believed, from all the tall tales she told. A whimsical thought, to distract him a little bit. A single tear rolls down his masculine visage as he bows his head in honour of their fallen comrade. He wasn't the type to mourn for long or very heavily; death wasn't unknown even to the cheery man that was Bartek, but as Mother had taught him, "try not to give up". "Bartek will miss friend. He was credit to team. We will toast goat milk for you in honor."

Bartek "Understood, friend! Hold still!" Bartek springs back up from the blast with a groan, and immediately runs over to hoist Ice over the other shoulder to help Sense, crouching to help Sense do so. Right now, the priority was to exit before the whole place crashed on top of them, and getting everyone who could be hoisted out away from the building.

Bartek Bartek, having stood there, frozen as Merlin was more or less incinerated in front of his eyes. Death wasn't something Bartek was afraid of nor shied away from, though he did his best to stave it off for others, so he managed to just about phase out Merlin's demise for the moment. There would be time to mourn her later; perhaps a few drinks of goat milk in her honor, as the Kemmerich custom was. Probably with a game of goat tossing. Furthermore, he was a very big, very athletic and muscular man, and Ansuz, for all his magic, was far smaller than him, and totally vulnerable after all that had just happened. He was readying a second cannon blast. Ice MIGHT stop him, but he wasn't going to lose another friend today. "Bartek does not want to do this to little friend, but is for own good!" With a yell, Bartek runs towards Ansuz to tackle and pin them to the ground, placing up a shield to smash through whatever defenses he has up.

Sachi Honda Sachi steels herself. Nothing to be said or done except 'brace herself'. Her allies would need to fend for themselves for now. Something about that spear unnerved her. But she had to be brave, or else show no fear. And she would. Indeed, Sachi braces herself and strikes Cu! (Basic Attack: Deal 2d3+STR), applying Bonds of Friendship on Cu (enemies marked with this debuff grant 10% of the target's maximum health as healing to their attackers). Also, cancel Tower Stance on Ritsu and Magnum to ensure Sachi doesn't take any more damage than necessary. Sachi regains 10% of her health per turn.

Sachi Honda Sachi grunts as she blots out the pain. She'd been hit rather hard, but the follow-up hit, she'd managed to just about parry it, both for herself and Hikari. The next hit, however, was looking far less easy to tank. Not to mention the soldiers currently surrounding them. For the most part, back at home, Sachi's defense had primarily consisted of watching the Vertex's attacks wash over her shield like nothing to cover her allies. But, a lesson she'd learned, once or twice, was that the best defense was sometimes an offense. As much as she REALLY didn't want to start attacking humans, she knew. If Mio was here, she wouldn't hesitate. Not because she wanted to, but because she had to. But Sachi wasn't an attacker like her sister, but a defender. And defend she would.
