"That may be a problem to dig out... No matter. Let's move." Mar moves down the indicated corridor, then picks one of the directions they might have went into, and goes down it. Mar takes a deep breath, calming himself and broadening his senses, before moving on, using those senses to track the friends down.
-
"I am Mar, of Stonerist Chi, The Elder of my Tribe's Hunters, and a purveyor of secret arts and innovation." "Well, if you find anything particularly murderous, There is only roughly a half-chance of it being one of ours." Mar grins, a joke. "But yes, we own this castle, and through it's ancient machines, it allowed us a wider means of travel." "We should find them before they encounter any of our less trusting friends."
-
Mar twists backwards, flipping forwards but moving backwards as he uses Iron Mana to slow his fall. "Apologies, I had to assume you were trying to kill us. Basic Stuff, you understand." Mar's spine cracks, suddenly, he looks as old as he feels, hunching over and rubbing it absentmindedly. "Business?"

Mar uses Galvinium Mana and Eldrich Scrap Mana to Throw and Warp his voice a bit, by using a ball of Galvinium Mana to enhance and increase the volume of his voice passing through it, he has the ball itself hide behind a corner as well. "We own this castle, and we're using it for our own reasons, you didn't know we owned it, so there isn't a problem. I do want to know why you're here though, since you came in for some reason."

"I want to make an Eye Covering with this Crystal, which can record what I see, and store this information, making copies of it as needed, I also believe that I have everything needed to make various other rudimentary things with guidance. My most pressing concern is that Psychocite is able to store knowledge, but I lack either the power, skill, or time to use it to it's full potential." Mar hands over a chunk of Psychocite and the Novacrystal in question, both of them glowing in their own ways, the Psychocite already has some corrupt data from Mar's Fumbling intentions and some memories of some sort of local herbivore, they are woven into parts of it's molecular structure, like a 3D microchip, helped along with structures made of that same mana, roughly imitating what it has passed through, it is patchy and spread out over the rough glowing pink rock. "I can carve both items to any tolerance you need, if I have the intended result shown or explained to me, and provide the mana types and samples needed." Mar demonstrates what Raw Psychocite Mana does, passing it over a message he writes in the dirt, and then over a rock. The message is scrambled and garbled from his ineptitude in manipulating it "by hand" as it appears on the rock. It seems this entire time, he has just been forcing raw mana to do things with willpower and as concise thinking as an ordinary untrained person can manage, rather than relying on incantations, or runeworks, or prepared spells or anything like that. Like a Sorcerer's raw power without their innate skill with it. He isn't even making enchantments, she would realize, if enchantments are a machine made of magic, this is closer to stuffing materials into a sack of cloth, and indeed, the magics on his person seem to have nothing that could be called "Designed". It seems that he has been seeing what Raw blobs of mana do when he forces them to change state, then exploiting that raw blob's new state, like deciding between picking up an ingot or a log for a weapon, rather than making them into swords and staves. the shaping he has been doing is mostly been, as mentioned before, by hand, very rough. It is interesting how something made of such complicated energies can be so crude. Despite how ease he seems to make it look, for what it is he is doing, it is clear that he has a lot to learn, and knows almost nothing about magic, be it other peoples' or his own... It is unknown if he is aware of his ignorance, but if he is, he seems to not be that worried about it.

Jade Begins Combat, readying his revolver. Mitsu flies up high, (1d20+Int V Check = 8+2 V 10) She sees something in the distance, and begins to fly towards it, carving a swath through any creatures she finds. (2d3+12=18) She is a Goddess of Pure Devestation, Metaphorically speaking, and enemies fall like wheat before her blade. If any goddess of death still lived from her world, they would feel an inexplicable twinge of jealousy, as Mitsu more than earns blood from her foes, dealing 18 Damage to the Fauna with a basic attack. Mitsu kills several monsters, obtaining 3 Metal Gems, 1 Metalhead Exoskeleton, and 1 Corrupt Bone. She is getting closer to the unknown thing in the distance. Alexandria summons a Hard Light Shield, using it to defend allies and the Portal. The Doctor nods, going back through the portal to get camping supplies and research equipment. The Local Fauna is frightened off for now, and does not attack. Combat Screen

"What an odd person." "At any rate, I come seeking aid. I have resources, magic, and knowledge, but not the precision and experience of a trained and seasoned magi." Mar hands over the Golden Tablet, rimmed with Artificial Titanite. One would see that the entire tablet seems to be made entirely of silicon, with the barest traces of Gold and some other substance, interwoven with an enchantment that is attached to it's very particles, a Magitope of Silicon which imitates other things. Inscribed on the tablet however, is another story, it seems to have been filled with runic diagrams, arranged like the simplest recipes. This then that, that then this, whatever magic Mar wields, it seems to exist to serve, flowing into essences and elements with the utmost ease. If Marissa were in tune with deeper magics, like those that allow one to view the nature of what is, she would also note that every scrap of material on Mar's person and every fleck of mana his body radiates seems to be completely saturated with his intentions, pure and muddled, the energy exists as a completely basal substance, having no parts which make up it's whole, it functions the same at any scale, be it the size of a planet or the size of a quark, one from his world could theoretically make it take on any property, if they understood these connections between the user and all of the magic emanating from their souls. At the same time, however, it is guided by a sort of intention that comes from Arbitration, his mana seems to act the way it does because of his mind, and to someone sufficiently foreign to his form of magic, you could almost see his beliefs and values woven into it, Magic is Tangible, it is Finite in power, it is guided by willpower, becoming stronger in body increases the mana produced. These are the things he seems to have been raised to believe, or has come to believe through observation. And through these observations, his mana has taken it to it's reality. If Marrisa were a gambling woman, she might bet that she could convince him of almost any arbitrary law or quirk of magic, true or fictional, and disguised as hidden knowledge, in his ignorance, he would believe it, and it would solidify this law as fact for him and his alone.

Mitsu, having entered the central chamber, presses a button, causing the temple to be fully activated. With the Power Cells and Precursor Orbs that everyone has, The Portal is completed, and the players are able to access an area far more dangerous. Surrounding them is a plain of rocks and death, nothing living save for small weeds can thrive in this hellhole. Monsters prowl around every single corner. "We won't be able to do anything until we make this area secure. I need to be able to keep the portal running, and you all need to find the Precursor Temple, so we need to keep the Metalheads away from the portal for a long period of time. I'll leave the 'How' of that up to you all." Everyone Takes one Level, gaining the EXP needed to ascend. Slow Combat Engaged! (All actions may be taken, and the enemy both attacks less often and is unlikely to be killed successfully.) Combat Screen

"I'll pay you 1500 for good buisness, and I would also like to requisition several other small gemstones, any size that can be seen with the naked eye, since it is not needed for any jewlery, it can be any size or cut that one would be capable of not misplacing. What are some of the more popular gems that might be had in these parts at a speedier rate?" Mar hands over 1500 Zenni, as he asks his question. Whatever answer he receives, he seeks out Marissa next, hoping for Counsel in a magic project he has in mind. On the way, a Goldenstone Tablet reinforced with a Synthetic Titanite Frame is filled with Mar's current Magical Formulae, to be given to the Magic user when he converses with her.

--Gary+Alexandria+Jade-- Alexandria Rips apart everything in her path, opening up the second Antechamber, This room is dilapidated, and covered in a viney moss, The only parts of it not covered in this moss are either bare metal or shallow puddles of glowing lime green liquid. (2, 7) Gary, using an ender pearl, throws himself in the way of Alexandria's Assault, taking 10 Damage from a brutal and mistaken blow, sadly, even deified machine reflexes are just barely too slow for trumping actually instant transportation. At the other end of the room is a Cracked Pipe, spewing Green Eco, Lime Liquid, and is connected to an inactive Vent. There are 3 Masses of Vines scattered around the room. The room seems very humid. --Mitsu-- (4, 11) Mitsu's skill and speed allow her to make it across, but at a heavy cost, several of the orbs batter her form, dealing 6 Damage, but in addition, the Orbs being Disturbed causes an unsettling reaction in the surrounding energy, the room gets much hotter.

"An Insect Glaive Sounds fantastic, as for the board, it is common where I come from to have something hard, lightweight, small, and smooth on one side, and with a grip on the other, It's crucial for recovering from attacks in the air, where blocking an attack simply puts you where your opponent wishes you to be, and sliding along attacks and deflecting is much more important." "I used to own a board in my youth, it was made from the wickerstone tree of my homeland, where rockslides were common enough that encountering one was eventually viewed as a hindrance. You simply grab a board with one hand and crouch atop it, bouncing off of and sliding along the cascading stones. It differed from a shield and bladed shield in that it was made of a very brittle and hard substance, such that it could deflect damage, but was poor at blocking it." "Outsiders apparently saw it as something akin to riding on water, though I've never seen such a thing." "I'm Rambling. How much would you require for me to obtain an Insect Glaive, and do you have Metal Powders?"

Mar returns to town, and heads to the Blacksmith's forge, seeking uses for his Tigrex Loot. "Hail. I come with an abundance of Material Wealth and a lack of Practical Kit. Is there anything you can devise that is Lightweight and Mobile from the various things I have here And are any of the parts I have obtained from the Tigrex particularly suited to certain things? I am looking into something like a Glider or Board or something similar in use to improve my mobility." Mar demonstrates that he DOES have money, and he has more materials than most possible things could require.

Satisfied with his work thus far Mar sets the jars in the Smithy on a shelf nearby, then, Mar finds a chair of some kind, Mar sits down and meditates, he summons up mana, testing how many tiny blobs of Kinetic Iron Mana he can manipulate at the same time. Each one, he tries to force into the shape of a playing card sized rectangle. The kinetic force emitted from them giving them the illusion of solidity. He uses his breathing exercises to clear his mind and enhance his focus as he tries to manage the small magical objects, sustaining them with magic to keep the temporary constructs solid and stable as long as possible. Put quite simply, Mar both Trains and Tests his limits in the Spiritual and Mental Arts.
