  3. Alchemia Chan, I have deicded that you are an Air bender. You split your time between meditation, long peregrinations, and community-building activity with the children of the Temple. The young ones help add color to your often-cynical outlook. Your more indirect, sparing lifestyle and constructive, peaceful worldview evince your idealistic nature. Despite some dark times in the past - wherein you gained strength through an onerous independence - you have resolved to better the lives of the ones you love and promote peace in this troubled world. By the way guys I'm sorry but I'm working through a backlog of 7 of you and it might take me some time to get your results out. I want quality over quantity so I like to take at least 45 minutes each, usually around 1.5 hours for people with long responses. I'm really enjoying it but it does take some time and I'm currently in a bit of a crunch, so please be patient
  4. Long hot showers Favorite anime character?
  5. In a game of online Diplomacy with my friends that spanned several weeks, it came down to the Russian-Austrian alliance (of whom I was Russia) vs. the English and French It seemed we were at a standstill, with defenses that could not be breached unless we were to heavily risk our own defensive line I decided to play a gambit where I pulled back from an ocean tile, allowing the English fleet to advance into the Baltic Sea. I had then planned to close my other fleets around this intruder (in a sort of phagocytosis) but the gambit failed and he managed to push my line back from conquered German territory Because Austria was putting pressure on French-English holdings in Italy, my opponent was forced to cool his Northern offensive and reorganize. He produced two more fleets with the territory he had taken from me, sending them both to defend the South. In this time, however, I managed to reconquer part of Germany (which I can only imagine came about as the product of guerrilla movement) When forced to choose which army division to scuttle due to supply constraints, they chose a seemingly minor fleet in the North and sought to resume their defenses. However, in a miraculous moment, they forgot to give orders to a fleet meant to occupy Sweden, which allowed my own Armada to pass along the coast there and escape into the greater Atlantic. Faced with impossible defenses in both the North and the South, and with a fleet headed directly towards the undefended British Isles, my opponent was forced to surrender and the Austro-Russian alliance seized the day. The English and French monarchs moved to Canada in exile What languages do you know?

  12. After taking a French exam in high school I suddenly developed a very strange headache It felt like my head was inside of a balloon, and if I angled my neck too much my head would make contact with this theoretical balloon and I would become so dizzy I nearly fell down There was no explanation for this; I wasn't sick or hungry (but I still ate a gross yogurt nutrigrain from a vending machine) After several hours of sitting still in an easy chair and drinking water I returned to normality Do you have any words that irrationally get under your skin?
  13. Combat Medic, I have decided that you are an Air bender. Perhaps in your younger years, you traveled afar as a nomad to gain wordliness and experience, stocking up on stories of adventure to tell your future pupils at the Temples. Though at times your style has been criticized by other monks as a bit aggressive and your decision-making as overly subjective, you remain a favorite within the community for your dynamic and entertaining nature. Your pacifist behavior, sense of obligation to the greater good, and ambivalence towards money characterize you as an idealist who understands that basal human instincts and compulsions like revenge or selfishness are to be transcended, not encouraged. Within your soul, however, there lurks a certain amount of fire in your support of human dominance, promotion of individualism, and occasional emotional outbreak. Cabbage guy is a legend
  14. I got a cool companion mod that lets you recruit any named NPC into a party. The actual recruitment system is pretty primitive (you give them jewelry and then they become your 'friend') but I guess you just have to imagine a better story over the interaction I like recruiting Jaree-Ra and Deeja (with the help of a few console commands) from the Blackblood mercenary plotline in Solitude
  15. Pretty sure she was talking about the way the wind carries all colors of leaves, petals, etc from nature so I guess it would be any colors that appear in East Coast American nature be sure not to dress up as her for halloween btw Also puke isn't a color much less a color of the wind did you mean puce? Did you ever have a moment as a child where you realized you were alive? It's a very unique experience and I've only heard one other person describe it; you know what I'm talking about if you have
  16. Nova, I have decided that you are an Earth bender, specifically one who works with Clay. I believe you would live a humble existence as a potter who moved to the city after leaving your family farm to follow your own creative interests. Though you make enough money to get by on the sale of basic, economic pottery designs, your real happiness is creating the occasional ornate, ocher-tinted vessel depicting perhaps a historical or mythological event. Your honest, realistic approach to life can be seen in your views on war (important only in outgrown circumstances), confrontation (partaken in only if necessary), and nature (whose human maintenance is an unfulfillable duty). These perspectives are then solidified by your fierce sense of individuality, self-prioritization, and support of human superiority. In this sense, you are like clay, a veracious substance borne of the earth, and tempered in flame to become something more: a formidable, multifaceted, yet artistically expressive work of craftsmanship. I'm still unsure about watching Legend of Korra. The main factor driving me to watch this children's cartoon in the first place is nostalgia, and from what I've seen of Korra the developed universe is pretty intriguing while the characters are not. Oh, and Iroh is an excellent character, good choice.
  17. EDIT: wait nvm reread OP guess I just had flashbacks
  18. Didn't I just say that misrepresenting the subject of your costume is what makes it bad If you just tape wig curls to a hat and call yourself a Jew that's a bad costume and we're in agreement. Regarding your larger point that people should not dress up as figures from the Jewish culture because they have historically been oppressed has some wider implications, as nearly every existent culture (or religion, or nation) has faced oppression, discrimination, or persecution in the past. Where do you draw the line on what parts of these cultures or which cultures in entirety are acceptable to imitate for Halloween? Are costumes only off-limits if based on groups that have been persecuted relatively recently, as Jews were in the Holocaust? Does it have nothing to do with time? Is it only for minority groups? I'd argue that blackface is very different from wearing a headdress due to its status as a symbol of oppression. Blackface makeup isn't and has never been a component of black culture, even if physically having dark skin is. Blackface is a component of white society from the early 1900's and it was a means of disrespecting and mocking black people. The headdress was actually a symbol of an occupation in Native American society, not tied even in its own nature to any form of oppression or mockery. See the difference? Why is assuming the responsibility and history for a costume only relevant when it's based on garb exclusive to a certain people group? I've made this point before, but is a person dressed up in a firefighter outfit disrespecting firefighters, because they're wearing a uniform that is contingent upon much training and sacrifice? People have died sacrificing themselves in firefighting costumes, so is wearing one wrong? Is the difference that because only Native American people can even have the chance to become chieftains, it's wrong for someone outside their community, to, as part of a lighthearted occasion, wear the garb they would presumably receive upon becoming one? I'll stick around for a few more posts and then go. Good discussion though
