"I worked as a waitress." Emilee answered. "There's no reason why I wouldn't answer, I loved my job as a waitress too. It was a very small tavern but it was always full with regulars. I could recite the name of everyone of our patrons, and they all called for me. They were also very patient with me, even when I was younger and I broke plates, everyone smiled and helped me out." She smiled, remembering the warm memories of the past. "What about you? What did you do before joining the Guard."

And so the chapter ends! This was a really long chapter. It helped me realize that there is a limit to how big I can make a chapter. However this post chapter will be long! In the upcoming days I'll be making balance changes to the rules, mostly importing stuff over from SoC, and ideas I like. If there is anything you disagree with feel free to message me. This is our game and we'll discuss how it will work. Also this post chapter will have stuff happening. Currently we are in a camp scene, and after this scene our character we'll be going into a nearby town!~ To situate yourselves you are just a few hours away from Hearthlight and to resupply the characters will go there. But we'll talk more about that in character so it's more fun. "M-my house... Will stand strong." Were Gael's last words. Ecquis' javelin finishes him off, he dies on the saddle with a javelin sticking out of his stomach lodged in deep. [Victory!] Final Results Silence. "RUN!" Saffron is the first to react. The soldiers of house Nohr were all too confused and startled to even bar their way. Saffron leads the escape on her pegasus, Anna on her heels. Keagan, Feri and Radburn join soon after on the cart driven by Ian. Ian urges on the horses pulling cart, urging them to go faster and away from the danger. The party runs for hours without stopping, and never looking back. During the first hours you could hear some pursuers riding pegasus but at some point they gave up. Eventually Saffron gives the signal to stop. Her breath is heavy, and her pegasus seems just as tired. "I think we've lost them..." It's already twilight, the sun racing to disappear from the sky. Radburn is gathering firewood, Keagan is setting up a tent, Not too far Saffron is reviewing maps on the forrest floor. Feri seems to be preparing a firepit to begin cooking, Anna and Ian are untying the horses and letting them rest away from the cart leaving it unattended, Dash is still unconscious. He is laid out in mat near a tree.

"Oh you heard me sing huh..." Emillee looked the other way with a slight smile. "That was a song from my church days. I singing it so I wouldn't forget it." She put away the herbs, the bottle and the rags back in their place. "All done!" The sister exclaims. She then flicks Belros on the forehead lightly. "That is for eavesdropping on me without my permission. It's rude you know."

She was lost in her songs and melodies, not thinking of the world around her. She was, until a large thud and a flying man interrupted her concentration. "Eek!" Emilee screamed in surprise backing up against the tree. It took her a moment to realize that the flying man wasn't an enemy or a monster, it was Belros! "Belros is that you? Goddess gracious, are you hurt!?" Emilee got closer to inspect him, with her hand brushing hair away from his face to find any wounds. "You're bleeding, hold on." Emilee walked back to the tree and searched inside a burlap bag. Inside she found what she was looking for; a small pouch with rags, herbs, and a bottle of wine. She wrapped the herbs in a rag, and then soaked it in wine. "Stand still this might sting." Lightly she pressed the rags against Belros' forehead wiping away the blood, and cleaning it. "Honestly, climbing up trees. Don't you know that's dangerous? What if you got really really hurt and I wasn't here?" Emilee scolded, putting on her most 'big sister-ly' voice.

An exchange of javelin volleys, but clearly Ecquis' armor is much stronger as Gael comes out wounded but Ecquis almost unharmed.

Emilee spends the night helping where she can in setting up camp. After all is done, she tends to herself brushing her hair and using strange smelling waxes on her skin and then washing them off. Happy with the results, she sits down against a tree and sighing heavily. Her body ached from all the running around; and the hit she took. Battles hurt! Still, she always the burning aches of a long day somewhat relieving. She looked up into the stars and hummed softly, and then broke into full on song singing hymns about the Goddess and heroes. She only sang the happy ones, the type you would hear at weddings. They were the only ones worth remembering in detail after all.

The soldier who already looked very groggy and tired was the first to fall. The second sword unhorsed the Pegasus Rider, sending her flying down into the trees. Soldier 12 moves to G16 Soldier 13 moves to E17 Soldier 11 moves to G15 Soldier 10 moves to F14 Soldier 15 moves to A16 Soldier 14 moves to A15 Mage 6 moves to D14 Mage 5 moves to C15 Gael moves to I21 and attacks Terrin

"We did very well." Emilee walks next to Belros and smiles. "I hope the ones that escaped learned their lesson. Hopefully they will turn over a new leaf and become proper men."

"Go get 'em!" Emilee waves to Belros as he darts off to fight. "I have my own job to do," She says ruffling up her sleeves and running to the captain for healing. Move to P13 and heal Mandatte

"Don't hurt yourself on purpose! That's bad behavior and I won't allow it." Emilee barks back at Belros scolding him. "Oh you have a little scratch here! Let me fix that." She notices a small wound on Idei and begins to heal him instinctively. While she works she continues to talk to Belros. "I can take care of myself. Things have a way of just working out for me as long as I put in the effort. I can worry about you, but you don't have to worry about me." She then pauses and puts a single digit to her cheek thinking. "Although having you watch my back might make me a lot less scared. I think it might be nice!" Heal Idei

Emilee tried to bottle in the warm and fuzzy feeling of appreciation, but it surfaced in a bright and happy smile spreading itself across her face. "Kind words like that make it all worth it." Emilee responds gleefully. "Aren't you scared as well? You could die you know. Any of you could die, if I wasn't here. Of course I'm scared too." The sister closes her eyes taking a deep breath. "Any of us could, and it really isn't nice. But I'd be more afraid somewhere else knowing people were dying and I wasn't doing anything about it." Balling her hands around her staff she looks at Belros determined. "Our time on this earth is decided by the Goddess, and as her servant I am acting in her direct will. I also like taking care of people, so I'll be taking care of you too. Wether you like it or not!" She adds with a giggle.

Emilee shuddered at the sight of Darius' attack. She understood it was kill or be killed but... The magic the sharman practiced scared her. It resonated against everything she was taught and believed. Shaking away negative thoughts, Emilee went towards the lightfooted Belros. Move to N12 and heal Belros

Charging forward javeline at the ready, Ecquis defeats the wounded Troubadour throwing her down off her horse dead. Cheat Sheet: [Player Phase Continues]

Moving on to the bridge she stretched out her staff until it could poke the Pirate Boy Karik in the head. It started to glow, and doing it's job. "Don't think I've forgotten about you. I'm here for you, don't worry!" Move to M11 and Heal Karik

"Just consider what I said!" Emilee says as she runs off, ever the vigilant sister it wasn't long before she was healing Darius getting him back to fighting shape. Move to K11 and heal Darius

Emilee giggled and pat the pegasus lightly and carefully. "Yes, yes. I'll take care of her don't worry." She got on her tippy toes, trying to reach as high as she could and stretched out her staff to be near the wound. As it started to shine Emilee hummed lightly now feeling in much better spirits as energy returned to her and she could keep doing her job. "Listen, you have to be careful. I think your friend here is worrying about you. And I'd worry as well if I saw you fighting with those wounds, luckily your pegasus is protecting you and brought you to me." By the time she finished the sentence she was done and was back to gripping her staff normally. "I'm not saying not to fight harder, just be more careful okay? Let's show them who's boss." Move to I13 and heal Rayne
