  1. How many colours constitute a "multitude of colours?" i.e. what's the minimum amount of colours we actually need to use?
  2. Welcome to my humble abode, dear friends. My name, for the unaware, is Roswell, and I shall be your host for our game. Compared to most games of mafia, you'll find this one to be more... pure. Rather than focus on overblown role interactions and night-time chicanery, this game will be simpler, with a greater focus on the core tenets of mafia: deduction, analysis and co-operation. There's still something there to keep it interesting, but if you're new to the game, this will work just fine for getting you used to how to play. And it's always nice to have a refresher on how to deceive people, don't you think? "Don't worry if you don't know how to play, I'm more than happy to help~" [Overview - Credit to Jason Grace] "But why are we here, you ask? Well..." [Narrative] "Now, we get to the fun bit!" [Roles and Mechanics] "Here's a few more things to mention before we begin. Don't worry, it won't take too long" [Other Rules] ...so, shall we begin? Participants: 1. L'Belle 2. Walpurgis 3. Psychic Sheep 4. Purplecicada 5. DigitalAmber 6. Jason Grace 7. Alistair 8. Alaris 9. LykosHand 10. Caimie 11. Seal 12. Jace Stormkirk 13. Andracass Jurors: 1. ShadedMud 2. Bam the 25th (AKA Amine)
  3. I mean, I'm only gonna be here for a little bit longer anyway (heading on holiday starting tomorrow), so if Amine's not got a replacement ready I'll probably be modkilled anyway.
  4. I mean, I would've just had the dead mafia members drag Alaris down to hell with them, but I guess I'll take Nicki's indiscriminate bird murder.
  5. I personally read it as the Janitor getting to know the role of the person that's killed that night rather than removing alignment (since the latter would pretty much make it clear that the person in question was not a mafia member). Either way, the fact that we don't know if the role he's claiming is still alive makes using an RC as a defence dodgy to me.
  6. @L'Belle: Sorry, I'm bad at keeping track of people's nicknames. Since I missed it, then, my thoughts on L'Belle are currently a slight townread. I don't feel like he's said a huge amount (unlike, say, Alaris), but what he's said seems to be solid. And since I need to get a vote in, and no-one's really said anything yet to change my initial estimations... [Eliminate] Filthy Distrustful of any roleclaims atm due to no role reveal of the dead and Janitor shenanigans. Only reason I'm particularly trustful of Alaris is his evidence via Lia's reveal.
  7. I mean, I'd prefer to have more conversation before giving scumreads, but given how much of the day has progressed without much conversation, I'll give a quick rundown of my inclinations thus far, in alphabetical order: Alaris: Almost guaranteed town, by virtue of correctly identifying Lia/Walpurgis. There's a small chance that it's a grand ruse to bus a mafia member to get himself ingratiated, but given the amount of scumhunting he's been doing thus far I'm doubtful that's the case. Bean: So far, Bean's played just as crazily as I'm used to him doing, which means I'm not quite sure as to his leaning. Could go either way. Bok: Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel like Bok's said all that much, which is making it somewhat awkward to get a read on him. Slight scumlean, just because it feels like he's trying to hide in the conversation. Caimie: Hasn't really said much, looking at it, and hasn't contributed all that much either (albeit more than some, IMO). Could go either way. Captain Breakfast: The constant attempts to throw suspicion onto other people could be just aggressive scumhunting, but judging by who it's been aimed at thus far, I'm more inclined to think it's a mafia trying to deflect suspicion onto others. Leaning towards scum. Cataline: I'm torn here. I was initially thinking of a townlean (the being happy about no 3rd parties, while odd, came across as town to me), but the attempt to play it off just above me as something "lighthearted" feels kinda scummy to me, so could go either way. Filthy: With both 3rd parties (and thus what was effectively a Jester) gone, Filthy's previous vote for himself is really bugging me, and IMO he hasn't actively contributed all that much to scumhunting. Leaning scum here. Michel: Not really enough information to go off of what they've said thus far (I'm making the assumption that this is either Amber's replacement or that I'm an idiot who has forgotten someone's nickname), but Amber's play seemed relatively town-ish, so I don't see a reason to suggest any less atm. Nicki/Purplecicada: Fairly confident townread. Has said a decent amount everyday (IIRC), and has actively contributed to discussion as well. Venus: Has acted generally town like Nicki IMO, but a couple of odd choices (the initial reaction to Dive's silence claim comes to mind) has made him a weaker townread for me than what Nicki is. TL;DR: Strong scumread: Filthy, Captain Breakfast Slight scumread: Bok Could go either way: Cataline, Bean, Caimie Slight townreads: Michel, Venus Strong townreads: Nicki, Alaris
  8. I guess Cataline just doesn't want to deal with someone trying to get themselves lynched? IDRK either, TBH.
  9. Oh right, misread the role description. NVM, then.
  10. Was a bit suspicious of Alaris' roleclaim, considering that there's probably still someone silenced that he could've been pretending to be to get the lynch (as unlikely as it is), but I guess since Lia's basically confessed at this point it all worked out. [Unvote] Alaris [Eliminate] Walpurgis
  11. I'm aware this is somewhat of an OMGUS, but there's not really anything I can do about it considering he's now my main suspect. Edit (apologies): Dammit, Ninja'd by Lia.
  12. Personally speaking, Alaris' argument reads as trying to backpedal out of falling into Filthy's trap by making it seem like it was part of his plan. Maybe I'm biased, considering the circumstances. That, combined with the fact that Mr. Knight's response to my original suspicion seems accurate, makes my vote somewhat obvious. [Unvote] Jason Grace/Seal [Eliminate] Alaris
  13. Since it's been nearly a full day now with no response since then, putting this vote forward to try and get a response. [Eliminate] Jason Grace
  14. ... I'm fairly certain we're required to vote, @Captain Breakfast. Admittedly, I'm not sure if Abstaining counts as a vote (I'd doubt it, but w/e), but it should be brought up either way. Anyway, my current suspicion points towards Knightly, if only because that reasoning on the Alaris vote seems super flimsy to me. Also suspicious of Venus for voting for Dive with no explanation whatsoever. Gonna hold back my vote for now though, since I haven't decided between the two yet.
  15. If I had to guess, Alaris, Filthy's the hot birb that was attached to Andracass, and is now trying to get himself lynched so he can still win. Just a theory, but seems logical. OK, 1 death means either: 1) Vigi didn't shoot, mafia were unblocked 2) Vigi did shoot, mafia were blocked in some way (either Drunk or doctor healing the target) 3) Both Vigi and Mafia went for Andracass. I'm inclined to believe it's option 1, personally, if only because I don't think Vigi would waste their only shot on someone who wasn't a clear scum, which IMO Cass wasn't. But who knows, really.
  16. GDI Filthy, now you've got me looking for acronyms in all your posts now >.> WRT the roleclaim, given the number of people who have yet to respond (Dive/Jason Grace comes to mind) I'm not fully convinced of Filthy's roleclaim yet. That, combined with the lack of conversation leading to a lack of overall targets (and I'm rather suspicious of the Jason Grace voting due to silencer potential) means that, for now anyway, my vote's staying where it is, at least until more conversation comes out to scumhunt with.
  17. Just to get him to actually respond, more than anything else: [Eliminate] Filthy Causal I do agree with it being odd that Dive (Jason Grace) hasn't said anything, but at this point I feel the urge to do something, even if it is just pressuring Filthy to respond.
  18. TFW lil bit tempted to vote for Filthy just to stop the downer talk Gonna put my thoughts here now in case I'm away for any of the birb on birb action later on. Anyway, due to the lack of any bodies present during the night, we can assume 2 things, with a few potential explanations for each: 1) The Vigilante did not kill anyone 1a) The Vigilante chose not to shoot today. 1b) The Vigilante was blocked by the drunk today. 1c) The Vigilante's target was healed by the doctor. 2) The mafia did not kill anyone either 2a) The mafia chose not to kill anyone 2b) The mafia was blocked by the drunk 2c) The mafia's target was healed by the doctor Between these options, my inclinations are to believe in 1a (since with a once per game shot and no information to go off of, making a shot would be odd) and 2c (since I were a drunk who'd found a mafia member on the first attempt, I'dve been doing more to push suspicion onto someone, which I haven't particularly seen thus far). Initial personal inclination based on thread is that Bean's hot birb targetted at Lia, and Filthy's a little sus for joining the vote so suddenly. Caimie's also acting a little erratically, but I'm not 100% certain how to interpret it yet. Not gonna put a vote up yet, though, since I want more time for discussion to develop first, and very little's been said overall IMO.
  19. I'm fairly certain that's a nurse thing, yeah. Also I think it'd say if they were protected in the role description, but IDRK. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Some clarification from our host might be helpful.
  20. @DigitalAmber Why would the drunk blocking the target (i.e. point C you made) save them? They don't protect the target, if the role list is anything to go off of. Also, caw.

  23. Best Newcomer - An award given to the - I think this needs completed. And The Queen of Hearts and King of Spades say the same thing (I'm assuming King of Spades needs to be changed to male) (And if I'm being subjective here, I feel like the most interesting player reads better if always is before manages i.e. Or the player who always manages to shake things up). Will put in my vote later on.
