  1. ... what Earthquake? Meant for triples - yet another twist on Trick Room for steel. --- Metagross @ Life Orb Trait: Clear Body EVs: 176 Atk / 96 Def / 236 SDef Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd) - Bullet Punch - Ice Punch - Brick Break - Magnet Rise --- Bastiodon (M) @ Custap Berry Trait: Sturdy EVs: 255 Atk / 232 SDef Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd) - Rock Slide - Taunt - Rain Dance - Wide Guard --- Klinklang @ Occa Berry Trait: Clear Body EVs: 255 Atk / 56 Def / 196 SDef Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd) - Gear Grind - Return - Protect - Trick Room --- Magnezone @ Air Balloon Trait: Magnet Pull EVs: 52 Def / 255 SAtk / 200 SDef Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd) - Thunderbolt - Flash Cannon - Hidden Power [Fire] - Magnet Rise --- Why the four pokemon? The starting line-up is actually metagross, bastiodon, and klinklang, see. Wide Guard and set up TR as usual, while metagross uses Magnet Rise. Magnezone's a possible steel-trapper, could be quite handy in the event of encountering excadrill/genesect/scizor/forretress. Also has Thunder to go with bastiodon's Rain Dance - coupled with TR to counter the massive fire weakness on this team.
  2. I am still peeved that chandelure can't Levitate as it does in the concept art. Yet another doubles/triples concept. --- Gengar (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Levitate EVs: 255 SAtk / 255 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Shadow Ball - Thunderbolt - Giga Drain - Skill Swap --- Jaye (Chandelure) (M) @ Air Balloon Trait: Shadow Tag EVs: 255 SAtk / 255 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Flamethrower - Shadow Ball - Energy Ball - Hidden Power [Ice] --- Similar to what I did with the drapion in the other topic, but I decided that for discussion purposes, maybe a separate thread would be better. Basically, a floating chandelure! And of course, no one's running away since gengar took its Shadow Tag... Could be nasty if you pull the trap on the right opponents.
  3. I know eelektross has access to goodies such as Coil, Dragon Tail, and Wild Charge, but... this was something that gives the poor poison-types something possibly formidable. Really, the only thing that damned eel has going for it is that it has no weaknesses thanks to Levitate. Alas, this is only possible for a double/triple match, like many other fun concepts. --- Gengar (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Levitate EVs: 255 SAtk / 255 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Shadow Ball - Thunderbolt - Giga Drain - Skill Swap --- Drapion (M) @ Air Balloon Trait: Battle Armor EVs: 84 Atk / 168 SDef / 255 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Crunch - Fire Fang - Ice Fang - Swords Dance --- So, the end product would basically be a drapion with Levitate, which gives it no weaknesses whatsoever. Air Balloon is in case the opponent gets the jump on him with a ground move, but you could substitute it out for other items depending on your preferences. Drapion's speed is respectable, but crobat's Tailwind is an option if you want to pimp him further. Or use gengar for Trick Room (is a waste to do so, in my opinion). Skuntank's another option, but I haven't put much thought into that one.

    Shuckle

Basic stalling shuckle. Shuckle (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 255 Def / 255 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Rollout/Toxic - Acupressure - Rest - Double Team Meant to pimp her evasion, Resting where necessary. Acupressure also does wonders for pimping her attack (remains quite pathetic, nonetheless). Or use Toxic if there's nothing to fear from Taunt and steel-types. Double Team, if pulled off once or twice, could spell doom for those annoying Taunters, if you're lucky.
  5. For Sheer Force, you could use a braviary, maybe. Normal/flying, though.
  6. Time to break the fourth wall

  7. Zen

    Hmph.

[quote name='Ikaru' timestamp='1318963554' post='20120'] extremely old battle logs~ [/quote] And even those are gone, unless you had them saved.
  8. As a... token of remembrance to Cain and Florinia, here's a normal-typed spin on the amoonguss/Rage Powder concept Not as powerful as the actual thing, but it's an alternative for the normal type in a double/triple battle. --- Togetic (M) @ Eviolite Trait: Serene Grace EVs: 255 Def / 255 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - AncientPower - Magic Coat - Roost - Follow Me --- Sawsbuck (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Chlorophyll EVs: 255 Atk / 176 Def / 76 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Horn Leech - Jump Kick - Wild Charge - Sunny Day --- Alternatively, for those averse to using weather: --- Clefairy (M) @ Eviolite Trait: Magic Guard EVs: 255 Def / 255 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Wish - Magic Coat - Thunder Wave - Follow Me --- Togekiss (M) @ Lum Berry Trait: Serene Grace EVs: 96 Def / 240 SAtk / 36 SDef / 136 Spd Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Air Slash - Aura Sphere - Shadow Ball/Heat Wave/Grass Knot - Tailwind --- Really, it was the sawsbuck that started it all Basically, a speed-boosting team concept, using Follow Me to grant sanctuary for the setup. You could also tinker with other forms of stat-boost, but the fun part is using Follow Me to divert fire.
  9. Zen

    Crobat

Standard speed-boosting crobat, that doesn't rely on weather. Crobat (F) @ Lum Berry Trait: Inner Focus EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Brave Bird - U-turn - Tailwind - Taunt I know, very similar to the above set, but worth a mention in my humble opinion - be warned though, that it apparently is barred from OU in some servers.
  10. Zen

    Golduck

A golduck that I use in rain teams. Golduck (M) @ Choice Specs Trait: Cloud Nine EVs: 112 Def / 44 SAtk / 96 SDef / 255 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Surf - Ice Beam - Hidden Power [Fire] - Signal Beam It's been designed specifically to counter common problems in rain - HP Fire combined with Specs and Cloud Nine for ferrothorn/scizor/forretress, whereas Signal Beam settles those ludicolos. Ice Beam is there in case of plants or in the event of sun/Chlorophyll combos.
  11. An archeops I've used before. Archeops (M) @ Sitrus Berry Trait: Defeatist EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Rock Slide - Aerial Ace - Earthquake - U-Turn Basically designed as a scout, though I have substituted U-Turn for Dragon Claw before. Sitrus Berry is to nullify Defeatist somewhat, to give it one last strike if need be.
  12. Interesting indeed... Aya seems to be similar to Lin, as far as her dialogue is concerned.
  13. My luck is horrible with Thunder if there's no rain, so... Thunderbolt it is. Am still debating the Energy Ball vs. HP Ice - maybe I'll pass the HP Ice to Venomoth instead.
  14. Well, I decided that the Perish-trapping trick might be handy for my bugs... so I adapted it for the bug monotype. However, have yet to playtest it. Since the bugs don't have access to anything that immediately traps on entry, this one relies more on obscure typing to throw the opponent off-guard before initiating the traps. --- Parasect (M) @ Lum Berry Trait: Effect Spore EVs: 255 Def / 255 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - X-Scissor - Seed Bomb - Spore - Swords Dance --- Kricketune (M) @ Focus Sash Trait: Technician EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - X-Scissor - Night Slash - Brick Break - Perish Song --- Venomoth (M) @ Black Sludge Trait: Shield Dust EVs: 176 Def / 76 SDef / 255 Spd Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Psychic - Hidden Power [Fire] - Sleep Powder - Quiver Dance --- Ariados (M) @ Focus Sash Trait: Insomnia EVs: 255 SAtk / 255 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Sludge Bomb - Electroweb - Spider Web - Agility --- Crustle (M) @ Liechi Berry Trait: Sturdy EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - X-Scissor - Rock Slide - Sand Tomb - Shell Smash --- Galvantula (M) @ Charti Berry Trait: Compoundeyes EVs: 255 SAtk / 255 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Thunderbolt - Bug Buzz - Hidden Power [Ice] - Spider Web --- So, it's basically an entire team of trappers/sleepers. This would only really work in a no-clauses battle, though, since it utilizes multiple sleep tactics. First turn would involve sending two of the three opponents to sleep using parasect and venomoth, followed by kricketune Singing. Then, during the second turn, swap in whatever is needed, and trap them using Spider Web and/or Sand Tomb. From there, it is possible to set up on the opponent. However, as mentioned earlier, the bugs might be rather frail - once you lose the element of surprise, that's it, really.
  15. This is interesting enough for the three of us to voice our opinions separately Zack - Amethyst's right in the sense that GG does make it sound as if everyone died Ian - Cain got caught doing what? XD Oh goodness, this is hilarious... well, the others had their moments, too. Fen - Hmm, interesting, but maybe keep the old leaders remembered by preserving their old illustrations and some of their battle logs?
  16. We'd probably be a dodrio or spiritomb.
  17. Zen

    Dodrio

Given who we are, this one's inevitable. Dodrio (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Early Bird EVs: 176 Atk / 76 SDef / 255 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Brave Bird - Return - Agility - Roost Meant to outspeed and do damage, barring opposing electric or steels. Return with Atk of 330 and a Life Orb, plus STAB, makes it potentially nasty indeed.
  18. Zen

    Jynx

This isn't your typical frigid bitch. Jynx (F) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Forewarn EVs: 255 SAtk / 255 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Psyshock - Energy Ball - Hidden Power [Fire] - Trick Basically meant to outspeed and kill, with the exception of Bullet Punch being there. Also works for those bastard genesect that seem to be saturating the OU tier nowadays. And Trick? Always fun to jam the opponent's moves.
  19. Zen

    Dunsparce

Surprisingly useful, given that most people go WTF upon seeing him in OU Dunsparce (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Serene Grace EVs: 255 Def / 255 SDef Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Rock Slide - Toxic - Magic Coat - Glare Basically, pseudo-togekiss. Or pseduo-jirachi, if you want to be classy about it. Either way, dunsparce can actually be pretty annoying, especially by bouncing status problems and Taunts back at the opposition. Rock Slide's for that flinchhax after Glare. Or for stuff that you can't poison. Otherwise, Glare and switch out.
  20. Zen

    Venomoth

This one's not for BP, somehow. Venomoth (M) @ Black Sludge Trait: Shield Dust EVs: 255 Def / 255 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Psychic - Hidden Power [Fire] - Sleep Powder - Quiver Dance Meant for two teams that lacked fire attacks - bug and poison monotypes. Basically, involves sending the opponent to sleep and then using either attack to nail them. After enough Quiver Dances, they typically go down. Physically frail, though - relied on switching out for those.
  21. Zen

    Ursaring

Ursaring's always been adorable <3 Ursaring (M) @ Toxic Orb Trait: Quick Feet EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Facade - Crunch - Close Combat - Fire Punch This one's meant to be switched in on something that can't kill it outright - difficult, but workable. Quick Feet then kicks in, making it quite a hard-hitter. Facade's for great STAB damage, and Crunch is for ghosts. Close Combat's just for the pain, whereas Fire Punch is an option for ferrothorn without dropping his defenses.
  22. So, this bizarre thing turned out to have SOME use, after all. Stunfisk (M) @ Brightpowder Trait: Sand Veil EVs: 20 HP / 255 SAtk / 232 Spd Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Thunderbolt - Earth Power - Sludge Wave - Surf Basically, an evasion-spamming stunfisk. Gimmicky and reliant on luck, so I typically try to pimp his evasion with a gliscor/gligar Double Team and BP. Has a reasonably varied movepool, which allows for dual-STAB that hits no less than four types for super effective damage, along with heavy-hitting moves like Sludge Wave and Surf.
