  1. Tim is so fucking dead man. as for the other one, google says 30km/h, and the distance between jupiter and earth is as far as i know not stagnant, so wouldn't it be both their relative distances to the sun? what kind of pizza are we talking about here dhan, so i can calculate my current appetite for it to see if the sum of the minutes i put into this discussion is equal or below the value of my hunger for dat pizza.
  2. if that guy came up as an opponent, I'd try to hit it with a fighting move 'cause of the necklace. you overdetail your pokémon designs, but i feel like this one isn't supposed to precisely mimic the official art anyway, so eh. i think he'd look more starter-y with walrus-like fangs. i like the way his fins work! and i feel like you have a good idea of how the designers at gf designs pokémon evolutions, which is sweet. dat eyebrow thou... i think i've said it before but it's scary to me how you draw these things with no going back, just straight up ink and crayons. hardcore okay some googling here but Kaion (kai, the hawaiian and japanese word for sea + iion, the hawaiian word for dog; the hawaiian monk seal is called "Ilio-holo-i-ka-uaua" natively, or "dog that runs in rough water", resembles "lion") Glotarion (globe + otari + same) Ballchoult (ball + bacchanal + bout, sounds like somersault) Circrobout (circular/circus + acrobat + bout) most these are too complicated, haha-- sigh
  3. tis the town of halloween but youll share with me dhan, right? pizza and practical demonstrations of elevator equations? right??
  4. ding-ding you're right i have no fucking clue maybe AR, CB or Chubb took it and left..? Dhan is next
  5. To ruin a perfectly good thread, that's why. No, but I feel like I've heard him being brought up a lot lately, now that the world is finally starting to see the good in social democracy (yay). Nehru is, like the Marxism's Che Guevara, someone you can kind of get unwarranted cookie points for. There's fairly few countries that have been "successfully" ruled by social democrats outside of Scandinavia and Germany, Nehru and his daughter being two of them, both ruling for a fairly long period of time, while maintaining a strong bias against the cast hierarchy and supposedly still cultivating some kind of "cheche" image among the Indian population. But it doesn't take a whole lot of digging to see that he might, in fact, be a tard overrated in terms of his political success, especially if you compare to Japan or China during the same time period (and that even considering he pretty much tried to rip off China's agriculture politics). So I was curious about what you thought of him, especially since my knowledge is limited to political decisions, while remaining ignorant about his actual cultural impact.
  6. I don't care about the games, but VIVE! Damn i hope some company – any company – will announce a Vive title already because it's the future.
  7. i drink coffee the same way that I look people in the eyes, take their hand in firm grip, shake it twice, nod and say; "it's very nice to meet you". i like meeting new people. i like coffee too, but whenever it goes down in that fashion it's always a feeling of professional necessity rather than genuine pleasure. still, if somebody offers, hells yeah, black and fresh of the grind please. ironically, come to think about it, the shittier the coffee has been, the more pleasant memories I seem to have attached to it. the most i've ever enjoyed coffee was when someone i really liked made it like 3am, just terrible oversaturated instant lukewarm coffee from a vessel that was closer in size to a trashcan than a mug and we just had our shitty coffee and our unheated leftovers and watched adventure time.
  8. all these randos here all of sudden makes me think someone promised free pizza or the ultimate liberation of india spine, you, me, parking lot. come alone
  9. fuck u got me how did you know, spine? are you also an undercover member of Federal Agency of Tracking, Utilization and Observation Unit Support? are you sent to kill me? answer me now you heathen
  10. YES, I agree with this!! (and i don't actually wanna castrate trump supporters... just some maybe) I actually talked about it in the original thread, and since I wanna dig into space science, I'm just gonna copy some of what I said there to save some time: But it's interesting you bring it up! I've been thinking about it myself lately, some kind of introspective self-interrogation – can one really support their views without fully understanding the other side? For example, I'm raised social democrat, with leanings towards marxism; I know the first page or so of the communist manifesto at heart, and my father explicitly told me I'd get to sleep in the shed if my political leanings were to change, so the furthest I've ever drifted was to read some communist papers before swaggering back into Eduard Bernstein's warm, manly embrace. Of course I've followed what some capitalistic leaders have been saying, and disagreed, but I haven't actually gotten into how it would work, because on a fundamental level, I disagree with it. Class gaps is the devil, free speech is the future etc etc. So the question is, does my strong belief in socialism diminish in value because I haven't also studied Ayn Rand? So yah, our entire society is built upon smart folks fighting for what is right – the suffragettes, black panthers – and prosecuting someone from doing that is worse than internet monitoring, it's worse than NSA spying on us – once that happens, it'd be a literal dystopian society. Welcome to 1984 losers, all hail the king. Anytime the suggested solution is "nuke it", I recoil a little. I'm pro colonizing Mars, but putting a nuke somewhere that no humans have ever set foot is crazy; we are already killing our own planet, is this really the angle we should start with on Mars? There is definitely things we could do on earth to drastically improve our chances at survival – eat way less meat, change our means of transport and energy, etc – but I feel like a fundamental lack of understanding, forward thinking and respect is preventing this from happening. We aren't acknowledging that a limited amount of natural resources that we don't fully comprehend are allowing us to live the way we do. If we nuke Mars, we will, inevitably, destroy a shitload of natural resources there is there. We will also destroy the atmosphere that has allowed the current environment on March. And sure, you can say that "it's just rock anyway", but there are traces of water already there. Humanity has already taught itself how to make sunlight into energy, harvest winds, make artificial intelligence and predict earthquakes. We have no need to make Mars livable next year. Given a little more time, surely we can solve this without blowing it up? Not to talk about, we don't know if there's anything buried under the surface on Mars that won't doom us all. As for resolution. Motivation is overrated. Probably even more so than intelligence, haha. Self-discipline is where it's at, motivation to discipline is like drunken one-night stands to a happy relationship. It's a to some small part inherited, but largely just trained trait what will make everything better, seriously, there should be late-night commercials for this shit. I'd define it as a mindset. It's also one of those beautiful things grows as you nurture it with realistic short-time goals that you work towards, pre-set consecutive rewards and a healthy lifestyle. (Do I sound like I do yoga and eat chia pudding yet?) "Have a vision of life that inspires you, then try every day to grow closer to the fulfillment of that vision." - Deepak Chopra Chase, you and I disagree on pretty much every political issue imaginable. I have respect for you because at least you take politics seriously, and you're very coherent in your arguments, but one day we should have an epic irresistible force paradox showdown. Hey Viri, just out of curiosity, are you familiar with chacha Nehru? I'd also like to introduce yet another topic. 1945, Walt Disney made a collaboration with Salvador Dalí, that, of course, turned out pretty tits. You can watch it here, or under the spoiler cut below. It's six minutes long. What do you think it's about?
  11. This is Halloween, this is halloween Spine – I've gotten so used to calling you Spine that I'm not even sure if I'd remember the other part of your name
  12. you're not wrong. what have you been up to, Juu? welp spine was fast there
  13. 10/10 I really like your sign. or rather i adblock most other signs, if theyre moving 'cause it distracts me when im typing to have something moving in my field of vision and if they're big 'cause i don't wanna scroll past them and if im using my phone's internet they eat bandwidth. im pickly haha. but it's a great quote and i somehow got the same result from the type test; elliot's a fucking tool. edit: oops just realized i don't actually have a signature – rate viri's again please
  14. Viri you're an actual psychic with these predictions... Spine?
  15. the prophecy has been fulfilled, the ancient gods are satisfied, fucking finally dude welcome to the dark side i haven't seen icsw frequent these waters, but seeing as im a channeler now... ICSW!
  16. oh long time no see in this thread, Shing! nah it wasn't bad it was just exhausting 'cause i haven't have time to sleep. im not a juggler anymore... this makes me sad. Viri maybe?
  17. i was gone like 24 hours from a pkmn website but i guess i did kind of say that i was doing stuff uuh both the absolute coolest people i know are by some weird coincidence – they fucking hate each other, as so equally brilliant people in incredibly different ways tend to do (its that or fucking), so at least i assume it's a coincidence, neither is european – moving to the same european capital. naturally i wanna move there too, so we can blow shit up together, so ive been going back and forth there for the last three weeks trying to find a new job. it was also the last day for my uni (college?) application so i had to suck it up and finish some work samples. and one birthday party, and one wedding and a lot of rain. plus visiting my grandma – grandmas are forces of nature, right viri – im so exhausted right now that the outline of my skull's eye socket is visible from the bridge of my nose to the outer corners of my eyes Spiners
  18. i wrote this longass rant of what ive been up to and then deleted it along with the prediction welp you are so right. viri?
  19. ah seems like i missed the party or "fashionable late" as they like to call it. it sucks to have to scroll between the pictures and the reply box. mega sableye is one those fave mons i've never used... the design, ability and concept are all super cool, but it's so goddamn slow that it's useless in game. hopefully reborn will introduce it. how dare you make him look like one of those embarrassing dads that's convinced they're hip and hilarious. i sorta think they're not fat enough for that joke to fully go through though, or at least they're the wrong kind of fat – the only looking chubbier than he's supposed to be is Quagsire, and he has the lines in his face going on too, which is great. the other ones could have more handles around their bowties/legs/frill to enhance the effect. More melty? it's really neat how you used the direction of the crayon strokes to enhance certain effects thou, and the emerald is pretty tits. and i like the OU letters, not sure about the rest. since the lightning looks like it's from slightly above, amon should have more shadow on his face. and why is chansey wearing slippers? as for the tree – unfortunately for me, spine basically covered everything i wanted to say. aside from the fact that it looks like all branches point to the sides, some of the ones behind should have more foreshortening. it does look amazingly organic thou, and I'm impressed with the branches in front of the stem. there's also a quite soft feeling to that tree. granted, i don't know what kind of tree it is - gonna guess mahogany because it doesn't look like a banyan tree or mangrove and that's about the limit of my knowledge of indian botany my ajurveda could kill someone. but while it adds to the organic feeling of that tree, it also lessens the realism a bit, especially those tiny little fingers just waiting to molest innocents. and the circles in the pattern are, but they could extrude a bit, like tiny tree boobs. edited to add more nagging cause you hoarded me and then didn't reply here & im a vindictive asshole
  20. 15 months?? what were you doing the first 12; when I joined you were at like 100-200, before you landslided all over this forum, causing millions in property damage on these once harmonious forums. but hey you know you're my main man here, so here's looking at you kid – for a 1000 more to come.
  21. but ireland is like, the country with the most wins overall? or was it iceland everyone here is super stoked about it so im trying to be but i just don't like the music Juu, will you run live commentary in the showdown for us?
  22. no, it's Halloween in May this year spine, r u hyped for Eurovision Noise Contest?
  23. I think I understand you a little bit better now, but I still take issue with this – the concept is valid, but the execution would cause more problems than it would solve. Starting with the obvious – it's not just that some people would lie, no one in their right mind – or at least no one that really wants a kid – would write down on a legal paper that "I'd beat my kid" or "I'm an alcoholic" if they knew the circumstances, and logically, well, they would know the circumstances. To want a child, for me, is like an subconscious urge. I know I'm in a terrible position right now, but a friend of mine recently accidentally got pregnant (not by me, although we're pretty close), and like... I almost jumped at the chance, despite that she's spent most the last year on a mental institution and is in an even worse position than I am. People would go far to be able to have kids on their own. Which brings us to other methods of checking this – criminal records, records of AA, enlistment in churches, 'cause let's face it, homophobic douchebags are almost always homophobic douchebags because they think their religion tells them to be. If someone knows that their record might get their child taken, they might not go to a doctor, or worse, not search for help for a problem they have, which endangers the child further. In the case of people with a history of violence, I also feel like we'd be handling out punishments before a crime has been committed, which is never a good thing, especially if we'd go after criminal records in a justice system that look like America's. But I do think child abuse, especially against lgbt children is a serious problem, and there are things schools, pre-schools and kindergartens could do better. We need to talk to the kids. Early. Talk by people outside the education system, so that schools in suburban Florida can't make their own, "remixed" version of the children should hear. I'm of the opinion that sexual education should start as early as 3, just explaining the concept of lgbt and genitals - no birds and bees, just "this is your penis/vulva, and if anyone touches it when you don't want to, here's what you do", because that's a proven defense against pedophiles. At a similar age, explain abuse and neglect, what it looks like, and how to report it if any child suspects it for either themselves or their classmates. Abuse and neglect are unfortunately things that are very hard to completely prevent, especially in a large country. Few people know they're going to be an abuser or a neglectful parent. We need better protection laws. I cannot believe that Leia's law still isn't legislated despite reading pretty much; "don't electrocute children, fuckmunch". Protective custody if your parents don't approve of your sexual or gender orientation. It's such basic decency in those things that it gets me so fucking pissed that it doesn't go through. As for the anti-vaxxers, that's not something they should sign a paper on – it should be a legal requirement for all kids to get vaccinated, and failing to turn in your child should be classified as child abuse. No doubt they have other stupid opinions that might make them less than ideal parents, but if we're really going there, then I'd like to suggest a much simpler solution – castrate Donald Trump supporters.
  24. I'm also guessing it's me, with that vast volume of ws ok viri i'm here fight me
