    I have no idea what I was thinking when I started a Hard Mode run of Insurgence.. jeez, those Gym Battles.. Drought Vulpix and competitive movesets in the first one, and it appears to only get more ridiculous. But this makes me want to play Reborn Hardcore. :P It's fun, in a strange way, getting crushed over and over again.

      Fun fact, when Insurgence was initially released that team was the default team for the first gym. Enough people complained about it that it was eventually nerfed until the different difficulties were released.

      I agree, those early gyms are tough as hell. But part of the difficulty is just not having enough options to win, or you just didn't anticipate what you needed. It gets better after gym 3, when you have strong pokemon of your own
