Does anybody else feel a little sorry when they kill an unarmed enemy healer in Fire Emblem? Sure, they're bags full of experience points for weaker units, but they don't even fight back unless they're promoted. (Or bash you with their staves in Radiant Dawn. Not like they do any damage.)

Probably only killing itself. Still, take Path of Radiance for example: Iirc, the game states at some point that priests and bishops are actually forced into the Daein army. In Chapter 22, you basically have to kill bandits that force priests to heal them, unless they want to die. The side-objective basically is to leave as many of them alive as you can. (The only chance of obtaining the Ashera Staff is by sparing all of them.) Sure, there are probably some priests that fight on their own accord, and sometimes the class name is different, but it still feels a little weird to me to just kill unarmed units.
