  1. I would say E12 breeding just about puts us more casual players on equal footing with the in-game trainers (mostly gym leaders, but sometimes even random trainers) who always seem to have every single TM, Move Tutor and competitive item accessible to them.
  2. Mega Absol has the ability Magic Bounce, you'll only be able to see that after Absol Mega Evolves and you check its stats in battle. Definitely go for a fully physical set. With Magic Bounce you won't have to worry about Will-O-Wisp halving its attack, and while 115 base SpA on its mega is respectable, letting 150 base Atk go to waste with Swords Dance available via level-up is a waste really. What I recommend as of E15: Super Luck ability with Swords Dance / Sucker Punch / Night Slash / Psycho Cut OR Play Rough if you're willing to breed for it (breed a female Absol with a male Dedenne/Mawile etc. that knows Play Rough). Night Slash and Psycho Cut both have an increased critical hit ratio which stacks with Super Luck, so you will be critting a lot with this set. When we get the relevant TM, Mega Stone and Ring, the set should be: Swords Dance / Sucker Punch / Play Rough / Rock Slide. Since Mega Absol has Magic Bounce instead of Super Luck, just ditch Psycho Cut and Night Slash for coverage.
  3. I suspect a double battle. Solrock, Lunatone, Gigalith, Aerodactyl, Rhyperior and Aggron-M (TR team aside from Aerodactyl). I'm about 70% sure we'll get the Smack Down TM since the field boosts that for seemingly no reason.
  4. I wonder how much a car would cost in the Pokémon universe if a bicycle costs $1,000,000.
  5. Pretty sure it's Saphira's and Hardy's field. It's Saphira's team's natural environment and Hardy's essentially locked out of his gym due to the sleep spell, while as far as we know all other gyms are accessible (the Rocky Field would also make sense for Hardy though). I guess Hardy's badge is required to use Rock Climb which the player might need to progress the story, and apparently gym leaders sometimes do fight challengers outside their gym (Noel and Luna spring to mind).
  6. At least this field will give me a reason to use a Pyroar. And Nature Power.
  7. It is going to take shofu three to five episodes at least I reckon.
  8. Sadly no, it is not possible. You'd need a father that can learn two of those moves via TM/breeding (since in gen V only the father can pass down both TM and egg moves) AND learns the third one via level-up, and to my knowledge, no Pokémon fits this description (the only other line that can have those three moves at the same time is the Squirtle line). Though I personally don't recommend Dragon Pulse on Milotic at all considering Ice Beam already hits every dragon super effectively except Kingdra and the Tyrantrum line (plus Reshiram, Zekrom, Dialga and Palkia, but you are really unlikely to encounter them in this game), has the same PP, 5 more base power, chance to freeze and can actually hit 4x super effectively. For Ice Beam and Mirror Coat the chain is also pretty short: Remoraid > Corsola > Feebas, all in E12.
  9. I'm assuming Amaria goes down the waterfall either way (she finds out by reading the diary herself in front of you, prior to Titania giving you the Surf TMX?), since her losing her memory is also kind of important to the story. Although I would absolutely play the game twice if Ame were to solve this by splitting the timeline, but it would be very complicated - assuming nothing is changed from the pre-E16 content storywise.
  10. Will every TM and Move Tutor be available before the Elite Four? What about the Mega Ring? Since gym leaders now have Megas, I'd say it'd be fair if we could get to use at least a few of them. I think I read somewhere that it's probably post-game content, but I'm not sure. Will we have to fight level 100+ Pokémon (E4 and Champion battles, especially rematches)?
  11. I would suggest a few modifications for Swampert's section: Avalanche can be bred onto Mudkip much earlier via Amaura (available before Luna, whereas the first time you can *officially* put a Bergmite in the daycare is post-Ciel), you can simply use a Bidoof to breed Curse, and Rock Slide is a level up move as of ORAS, so E12 breeding is completely unnecessary for Swampert. Great work otherwise (EQ Archeops is an atomic bomb, it helped me a lot).
  12. Charlotte. She just HAD to slap Energy Ball or Solar Beam on everything so Swampert becomes completely useless. Fern&Blake. Because why the hell not give me a teammate that leads off with a Sand Stream Pokémon so the weather slowly but surely kills me off, has two Pokémon 4x and all the others (bar Ferrothorn?) 2x weak to Ice when coincidentally one of our opponents is an Ice-type trainer. As if Fern's illegal Roserade (though Team Meteor might have the TM for Sludge Bomb, not sure) and bulky, fast Contrary Serperior wasn't enough to take down. Ciel. Field-boosted STAB Pixilate Hyper Voice from a goddamn Mega Altaria, screw that. Also, Noel's Flincchino has Skill Link, so Bullet Seed/Rock Blast/Tail Slap is always going to hit 5 times no matter what, that's not hax.

    Ice beam

Knowing this game it's probably a post-game TM.
  14. Can I ever go back to Reborn City in E15 or will I have to wait until E16 to do so? I just defeated Charlotte but the guards at the Circus still won't let me out. I want to go back, revive fossils, check out the Department Store and 7th Street for anything new, etc.
  15. Scrafty just soloed Luna's gym with 1 DD and HJK spam (at level 57!), thanks for the recommendation! Edit: sorry I'm kind of necroposting here, but is it worth getting the Cyndaquil from 7th Street? Flamethrower/HP Rock/[solar Beam/Focus Blast if we ever get the TMs, Extrasensory/Brick Break if we don't] is the moveset I'm thinking about.
  16. How does Will-O-Wisp/Hex/Flamethrower/HP(Ground) sound on a Chandelure? Do I even need Will-O-Wisp with sp.atk like this?
  17. Is this an event in the Slums?
  18. Actually I think there is a man in the Apophyll Academy who tells what type your Pokémon's Hidden Power is. Also, guys, I'm new (only started playing half a year ago and only played up to Gen III) so I don't know what exactly breeding is or how to do it, let alone how to breed for specific moves from an archive version of the game, I think I'll stick to moves that can be taught via level-up, TM or Move Tutor. I'll try to find a Scraggy if I can (though I'm afraid I might have accidentally killed it before, I'm not sure). Thanks for the replies
  19. Doesn't Scrafty have the same base speed as Pangoro? I'd also love to keep him because of the amazing HM support (I reteach him Cut, Rock Smash, Strength [or Surf, later] whenever I need to) so I don't have to waste a slot of Swampert's moveset. I could find a Link Stone, train up Graveler so he gets Stone Edge and evolve him, keep him in rotation.
  20. Hi. I just defeated Radomus and would like some feedback on whether I’ll be able to get far in the campaign with my current lineup. I'm currently not at the computer I'm doing the playthrough on, so I don't remember the levels, but I do know the abilities, the movesets and the level range (roughly). Best team I currently have: Swampert (Torrent) - EQ, Hammer Arm, Sludge Wave, Rock Slide - 55-60 Magneton (Analytic) - Flash Cannon, Charge Beam, Discharge, Magnet Rise - 60 (actually defeated Arceus with a little hax - Focus Blast missing 4 times, triple Discharge paralysis) Pangoro (Iron Fist) - Sky Uppercut, Crunch, Parting Shot, HM (whichever is needed in the situation) - 55-60 Meowstic F (Competitive) - Psychic, Charge Beam, Shadow Ball, Signal Beam - 50-55 Graveler (Sturdy) - Stealth Rock, EQ, Rock Blast, Self-Destruct - 50-55 Heatmor (Flash Fire) - Flamethrower, Bug Bite, Sucker Punch, Amnesia - 50-55 Rotation: Simisear (Blaze) - Fire Blast, Flame Burst, Acrobatics, Amnesia - 50-55 (yes, I did waste probably my only Fire Stone on a Pansear without Crunch, well done me) Banette (Frisk) - Will-O-Wisp, Hex, Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch - 45-50 I used to train an Ampharos, a Vivillon, a Foongus, a Donphan and a Piloswine, but couldn't integrate them into the team for one reason or another. Currently in training: Gardevoir (Synchronize) - Moonblast, Psychic, Calm Mind, Magical Leaf (Shadow Ball when I get the TM) - 45-50 - to replace Meowstic Roselia (Poison Point) - Toxic Spikes, Leech Seed, Giga Drain, Toxic (Sludge Bomb when I get the TM) - 40-45 - to replece Graveler I might train up a Darumaka I recently got to replace Heatmor for the time being. Pokémon I want to get my hands on ASAP: Ninetales (Drought) - Will-O-Wisp, Hex, Flamethrower, Extrasensory (unlikely to happen because even if I do find a Vulpix I won't have a Fire Stone) - to replace Heatmor Walrein - for necessary water HM's (even Surf if I get rid of Pangoro for some reason) and to spam Frost Breath until everything is gone (I hate when the AI uses that move) Any suggestions on how I can improve my team (I have 2 Ability Capsules and I can farm Heart Scales if need be)? Can I find a Vulpix (and a Fire Stone) or a Spheal at this point in the game? Thanks in advance.
