I ended up deciding on Bulbasaur. I haven't used a grass starter in any game that I can remember. Plus the idea of having leech seed and poison immunity is pretty enticing.

Erm, how is Swampert just "Meh" all around? I find that he has a very strong moveset (Earthquake, Rock Slide, Hammer Arm...) as well as only one weakness (Sure, it's a double weakness, but grass attacks seem quite rare in Reborn, to be honest)

Also, I have never used a fire-type starter yet in any Pokemon game. It's all water or grass for me.

Bulbasaur is a decent pick, no worries.
