  1. Today I learned that I could be a proper businessman and cut deals with people in my life that makes them fair to both parties, or unfair to the other depending on how much I care for them. I also learned that my friend has finally gotten her GoFundMe account up and running, and would love some help with it if anyone is interested. You don't have to donate, but sharing the link would be helpful. PM me if you are interested.
  2. Yeah, it's a real messed up situation for her, but I have a feeling things will work out right.
  3. To make a long story shorter, I will just tell you the basics. Friend got married, had one kid with an abusive d-bag who she divorced a few months later. Guy got custody of kids, refused to follow the visitation rules, and has since had several abuse/neglect/endangerment charges against him. Courts ruled that my friend can get her son back, but has a limited time to do so. Family friend of her's agreed to take her second kid when she became deathly sick and had to live with her mom and step-dad. Step-dad was molesting her, she feared CPS would take her kid away, so she asked the friend to look after him until she got better. Lady grew too attached, kidnapped her son, took him over state lines and filed for custody, lying about everything to do so. Courts found out the truth and have slowly been working to get her second son back to her, but the "friend" is finicky and is filing to adopt her son, despite the case against her. She actually had my friend charged with kidnapping after their lawyers told the "friend" to return the child. And since I am a third party, it is frowned upon if I show up with a baseball bat and just reclaim my friend's kid for her and her wife. Yes, she remarried, she is bi, and her wife is a US Marine who has served for several years. They live in Texas, and the two boys are in Ohio and Indiana. They need a total of $8,000: $1,400 for the lawyers per child, $2,000 for the courts and legal fees, and the rest to travel to get their children and return home. And that is the short version. I will post her GFM once she has it set up in case anyone feels sorry enough to help her out. Also, tfw you finally have time to work on something important, but your brain refuses to cooperate.
  4. TFW your best friend for 10 years starts a GoFundMe account to get her kids back that were essentially stolen from her a few years back, and you're too broke to help out.
  5. Chris Patt, hands down. I loved him in GotG, and I can't wait to see Jurassic World, simply because it has him in it.
  6. TFW you are tired, but have too much to do to sleep, and still have to go to work in less than 12 hours.
  7. What about people who you text-speak/leet-speak when they are fully capable for posting/saying the write words?
  8. Cara slams my car doors, too. Also, that feel when your body and mind are tired, but not to the point where you can fall asleep. First world problems.
  9. They know that doesn't work unless it's a software issue.
  10. That feeling when hunger joins caffeine-induced psychosis and sleep deprivation.
  11. Another pet peeve of mine is when people call me about a computer problem while I try to sleep. More than once I have had to remind myself that murder was against my ethics.
  12. That feeling when the coffee you drank an hour ago finally kicks in when you were just getting tired. I always get weird when I am on a caffeine binge.
  13. I can't stand it when people bug me while I am working on my book. Cara has learned that the hard way. Also, I have this thing about people watching me eat. I can't stand it, so I avoid eating in public too much.
