  1. “You guys should go check on the ship, I’ll finish up around here.” Kai spoke to her friends with a smile, before turning back to Zeta.

“I’d love to trust you, Zeta.” Kai scratched the back of her head, Anté jumping off to get closer the jewel-eyed creature. “But, it’s kind of hard to when Lumi isn’t exactly the nicest Sableye around.” The blue feline creature stood next to Lumi, softly jabbing at his arm in friendly jest. Kai let out a giggle as she watched Anté try to be friendly.

“If you keep him in an Aether Ball, it’ll be fine, otherwise we're not bringing him along.” Kai looked over her shoulder at the rest of Zeta’s friends. “They’ll probably want the same for them, too.” Kai took out Anté’s Aether Ball, showing it off to Zeta. “They’re super cozy though, don’t worry.” Of course, Kai didn't exactly know the inner workings of the device. Thinking about it wasn't exactly something Blake ever wanted to do, and she certainly didn't want Kai doing it.

  2. “Can that toy even fit in his mouth?” Kai stepped closer to the Sableye, as Anté prepared himself to jump off at a moment’s notice. Kai gave the Shinx a pat on the head. “Thanks, buddy.” Anté growled back in thanks.

“Hey, lady! We could probably use some help dealing with this troublemaker!” Kai called out to Gina, not remembering if she got her name or not, waving her hand towards her as she kneeled beside Zeta. “Would keeping him in an Aether Ball be enough?” Kai spoke her words aloud, anyone close by able to hear her. “As much as I trust Zeta...” Kai looked over at the Murkrow and Gabite shaking their heads at her. “Probably should keep a few more eyes on him.”

  3. Kai quickly jumped backwards when the shadow gets between her and her companion. As Kai swipes the Aether Ball from her belt, Anté jumps off of her head, ready for battle. Kai failed to immediately realize what Zeta said.

“I got this, Zeta.” Kai gripped harder on her Aether Ball, ready for a real battle. “Let’s go, Ant-- Wait, what?” Kai stops mid-speech as she processes her companion’s words. “Oh, that’s Lumi, huh?” Kai straightened out her posture before approaching her Shinx. “I’m guessing they came to go with you?” Kai deposited Anté back on her head, putting his Aether Ball back onto her belt. "Do they at least have the P-AZ Mechamon, still?"

  4. "Huh?" Kai felt the girl clinging to her shuffle around, digging her head back into her shirt. "Something going on, Zeta?" Kai takes her hands back to Zeta's side before looking around. "We're only staying here so long, so no keeping it to yourself, young lady." Kai turned her head to Meggie and Murki. "I don't suppose either of you know what caught her attention?"

"You guys go without me." Kai looked towards her companions. "I'll catch up later on."

  5. Kai covered her mouth with her left hand, giggling to herself as she looked at the younger boy’s red face. “I can’t wait to explore this great big world, too.” Kai stretched her arm out, petting the Shinx pretending to nap upon her head. “Anté’s gonna be here to help us.”

Kai turned around towards the girl standing behind her, telling the group to head on out. "You're probably right, Shelly." Kai reached to grab onto the boy’s wrist. “C’mon, they’re probably heading out soon.” The girl continued dragging Zeta around her leg before reaching for Shelly's wrist with her other hand. The girl gave a bright smile to the friends around her before heading off to the ship, with the others in tow if they allowed.

  6. Am I too late? I gotta wish this idiot a happy birthday, I don't care if I'm 4 hours late.

But yeah, DW, after getting to know you about a year ago, I have to say that I'm really glad to have gotten this close. Happy birthday, and here's hoping the next year is gonna be amazing.

    You're still an idiot, though.

  7. Kai shook the boy's hand. “I don’t mind you calling me that.” Kai wasn’t exactly too used to being called Karla. Most of the people she knew preferred how Kai sounded. Was only one syllable, too. “But, I’ll just call ya Freddie, though. Frederick is way too long.” The girl shrugged her shoulders, a smile still on her face as she responded.

“You should’ve came, though.” Kai shook her arms around in front of her, turning to look behind her at the many crystal trees around the area. “Just look at this place!” Kai yelled as loud as she could, gazing in wonder at the unnatural color of the flora. The violet colored trees excited her to no end, wanting to come back to see more of it. “I can’t wait to come back here.” Kai turned back to Frederick, her grin brighter than before. “Don’t you want to see more of it, too?”

  8. Before making her way to the ship, Kai noticed the new recruit from earlier. “Oh, hey!” Kai walked towards the boy, wondering if Zeta would still be hugging her waist along the way. “You’re our new teammate, right? Nice to meet you!” Kai gave the boy a smile as she spoke with her high enthusiasm. “My name’s Karla Eoland, but everyone just calls me Kai.” The girl bobbed her head side-to-side as she spoke. "So you should call me that, too."

“Say, why weren’t you with us in the simulation, anyway?” Kai tilted her head as she spoke, her face giving a curious expression to the boy.

“Well, marrying one of the richest folk on the island.” Karik gave a small grin as he spoke. “Certainly quite far fer a simple son of a bartender.” The Pirate gave a chuckle along with Kaito.

    Karik_Talk_to_Me_Merce.png

“Guess that’s why yer grandfather-in-law don’t exactly like ya all too much.” Karik shrugged his shoulders as he spoke. “Ya ever talk to him about it? Can’t be that healthy for the relationship.”

  10. Karik_Why..._Merce.png

“Gosh, I hope this outfit doesn’t get ruined after this.” Karik pulled on his outer jacket, glad to see the blood was at least gone from it. Something he had to thank Cadence for later on.

    Karik_Lets_do_this_Merce.png

Karik looked forward, noticing the man with quite the serious look in his eye. “Aye, seems like you were helping us out there." The pirate gave a salute to the man. "Appreciate the help." Karik gave a look at the man’s clothing, realizing something strange. "Hey, ye’re the girl’s husband, ain’tcha?" He didn’t look to be very high class, especially with the scar on his face. Then again, he’s seen rich folk that don’t act as high and mighty as some.

    Karik_New_Clothes_Red.png

“Ya certainly look a bit outta place here.” Karik looked over to the red-haired girl he assumed to be Solomon’s granddaughter. Pale and fancy side tails. Quite the look of the rich folk. “How’d you meet 'er?”

  11. “Oh, I’m sure it’ll all make sense later.” Kai waved her hand around to the Employees, a big smile on her face. Kai put her arms around Zeta as she walked over to her. “It’ll be alright, Zeta. They’ll love ya once they get to know you.” Kai patted the little girl’s head, trying her best to not disturb her as she walked towards the lady carrying her Aether Ball.

“That’s him, right?!” Kai snatched the right Aether Ball from the woman, recognizing the sticker she put on it to remember. “Made in Gear City”. Kai always had a few on hand, thanks to her mother. Certainly helps at times like this. Excited to see her friend once again, she tossed the Ball straight into the air. “Alright, come on out, Anté!”

As the Aether Ball reached the height of its rise, the creature within revealed itself. The blue and black feline creature fell straight into Kai’s arms. “I missed you! I'm sorry I couldn't bring you with me here.” Kai let out a giggle as she pet the Shinx in her arms. Without warning the Shinx bared its fangs, about to bite the girl’s right arm. “No, Anté! Not right now!” Kai noticed the glow coming off of the creature, realizing how dangerous it’d be while Zeta was still hugging her legs.

Kai let out a sigh of relief before immediately changing her expression back to a smile. Putting the Aether Ball away, Kai lifted Anté onto her head, carefully trying to walk to the ship while lugging around her two friends.

  12. Karik_Talk_to_Me_Merce.png

Karik held down his hair as the Fencer made her display, his rags holding it down better than the boy expected. “Wow, that’s amazing!” Karik leaped from his seat as Cadence summons a pillar of fire, prepared to jump into the nearby river, if needed. His movement caused him discomfort, as he tried to put pressure on the stabilized wound.

    Karik_Ouch_Merce.png

“I’m fine, but...” Karik reached for his own Vulnerary, his wound still present, even if stabilized. “I’m gonna need this.”

Karlos was about to march forth before the swordsman so rudely passed him by. “Well, I admire your confidence, but certainly not your armor.” Karlos looked over the man’s coat, knowing full well that he could not take too many shots from weapons. “You let me handle the front lines, lad. And then you finish them off, eh?” Karlos saluted his fellow agent of justice before approaching the Mage.

“Your magic may be able to strike through my steel.” Karlos readied his Javelin as he glared towards the Mage. “But you are certainly not impervious to mine!”

Move to J10 and deliver a Javelin to the Mage's face

  14. “I don’t know what it does, really.” Kai swiped at the device’s screen, looking through the dozens of functions inside. “I just sort of look for functions when I need them and find them all.” Looking for a feature on a whim, Kai found what she was looking for: Videos of Purrloin Mechamons napping. “Definitely does a lot, though.”

Upon reaching the others and being asked about Zeta, Kai put her A-Comm away. “C’mon, don’t be shy.” Kai motioned for the girl to step back onto the ground, intending for her to talk as well. ”I’ll introduce you, don’t worry.” The girl cleared her throat before speaking. “This is Zeta. She saved some of us from that Gabite over there.” Kai pointed a finger towards Meggie. Realizing the implications of what she said, Kai waved her hands towards the Employees reaching for their Aether Balls. “Meggie's not hostile anymore, though. You can put those away, none of them are hostile."

“She lives here alone and her father doesn’t come often.” Kai gave a bright smile as she looked at the Employee. “I thought she’d be lonely here. Can we bring her with us to HQ? I’m sure she won’t make a fuss.”

  15. “There’s plenty of leaves for you to see.” Kai picked the girl back up, giving her another piggy back ride as she made her way to the door. "We'll take you to see all the Nexuses out there, and you can see all the pretty worlds like this!" Before following the rest, Kai remembered a small problem she had.

“Your family knows how to read, right?” Kai pulled out her A-Comm, switching over to the printing application. “Sorry, we took Zeta for a bit. We’ll come back in a few days to bring her back, don’t worry.” Thinking nothing wrong with the message, Kai left a signature before printing the message, paper appearing from the top of her A-Comm. Ripping the paper by the perforations, she put it on the table that had the branches and water from earlier. She put the water and branches away into her A-Comm before following the others. "C'mon, let's go!"

  16. Karik_Calm_Merce.png

Karik opened his eyes, his vision blurry as he looked up from the rough ground. A green haired man kneeling beside his horse, and the familiar feeling of the Fencer’s little friends healing his wound. “Cadence...” Karik gave the girl a smile, even if he wasn’t truthful with it. “I said not to do that.”

    Karik_Talk_to_Me_Merce.png

Karik turned over onto his stomach before pushing himself onto his legs, sitting in front of the girl. "Are you still feeling okay?" Karik gave Cadence a worried look, remembering how she looked last time this had happened. "Short of breath? Feeling cold?" Karik put his left hand to her forehead, only barely remembering the symptoms she had last time.

  17. Kai looked outside, noticing the vehicle piercing through the sky and into the new Nexus. “That’s the rescue team, huh?” Kai jumped up with joy, realizing she’d finally be able to get back. Soon she’d be able to return home and maybe see mama again. Kai turned around, going to retrieve her tool belt from the ground, before seeing the friends she made here.

“Zeta, that’s our ride home!” Kai took the belt off the ground, quickly strapping the belt around her waist before grabbing the girl’s hand. “C’mon, we can show you Aether HQ, it’ll be fun.” Kai lightly pulled Zeta, waiting for her to answer before leaving with her.

  18. “Aw, man!” Kai pulled on Radovan’s hand, raising herself back up to her feet. “This thing wants to pick a fight with me. Now I need to climb it all over again.” Despite Kai’s rude words, she still looked at the Exeggutor with a grin. “I’ll show Zeta what a leav is no matter what, just watch me, Exeggutor!”

Dismissing her plots to climb the tree-like Pokémon for now, Kai turned towards Shelly. “Pokémon I know the most about are small enough to be considered pets, really. Like Arons or Zubats.” Kai scratched the back of her head as she spoke. “What do you suppose we do about this, though? Doesn’t seem like it’s bothering anyone... much.” Kai glanced at the hole in the wall from the Exeggutor "Even if we wanted to, we don't exactly have many Pokémon on us packing Ice moves, either."

  19. xKHrzwb.png

“Amazing job, my friends!” Karlos raised his lance to the sky, cheering on his allies to the west. "Glad that you could take care of that swordsman.” The Knight turned around, seeing what remained of the Nun's attack. His face turned to one of shock as he looked at what remained of the area of forest, but changed back to encouragement. “And you as well, lassie! Majestic fighting!”

“Now, my turn to attack this brute.” Karlos swung his Heavy Lance with a flourish, circling around the Archer and jumping over the fence despite his armor. “Charge!”

Move to G9 and attack Archer A with the Heavy Lance
