“Hoo ha.” Kai let out grunts as she carried around two of the eggs, exaggerated as she had no difficulty in carrying them back to home base. She skipped back along the way, a big smile on her face as she tried to keep pace with the others in case of an ambush. It was the only thing stopping her from rushing to home base to heal her newly caught friend. She left the eggs she had on her by the Exeggutor, quick to stretch out her arms.

“Sounds like a good idea, then.” Kai gave a small smile to Uno as she took the new Aether Ball attached to her belt. “Come on out, Crabrawler!” The girl gave the Ball a light toss with a flick of her wrist, falling onto the ground close to her before releasing the purple crab.

Kai crouched down to get a closer look at the creature. Her staring eyes would probably put someone in a feeling of unease, only feeling worse from the grin on her face. She continued staring for a long while, almost as if she was analyzing the crab in some way. “You seem pretty tough. Can probably pack quite a punch against anything in your way.”

She finally blinked, her eyes looking softer to anyone who fell in her gaze. Finally done staring at it, she found her eyes drawn to the interesting tuft of hair sticking up well above its head. She kind of wanted to touch it, but that’d be rude to a new friend. She looked at the rather odd look of its pincers, quickly coming up with a name for it. “Nice to meet you, Broughton!” She reached out a hand to grab a pincer in a handshake. Her smile would probably seem kind and inviting if she didn’t still have it on when the creature harshly pinched her hand between its pincers with a great amount of force.

“That’s a bit naughty, isn’t it?” Kai shook off the pincer from her hand, shrugging off the pain as if it never happened. Broughton crossed her arms, making a smirking face that would be difficult for some to figure out given the structure of her mouth. Kai stood back up, waiting for her friends to get ready for the last search.

“I’d be up for a new friend!” Kai spun in a circle as she jumped up, throwing her Aether Ball into the air to fall back to the ground to release Anté. “You don’t need to do much this time, friend.” Kai swung out her A-Comm, looking through the commands to find what she was looking for. “Lesse, branches, water, some kinda Move Slot, there it is!” She tapped the prompt on her screen, a sphere materializing in front of her screen in response. The girl swiped it into her hand as she stared straight towards the weakened Crabrawler.

Kai whispered as she concentrated her focus on the Crabrawler’s movements, her eyes watching every single small twitch. “Initiating capture event. Lock on target.” Kai flashed a smile as her eyes locked straight on the creature, preparing her throw. “Come on, let’s make a new friend!”

Kai Action: Throw an Aether Ball at Crabrawler 1

  3. Kai let out a groan, clearly exaggerated as anyone nearby would possibly be able to tell. “Aw, guess he’s got more friends.” Kai looked over towards the path, remembering the Crabrawlers that had been hostile to them. Going with one of the Employees wouldn’t help, and Frederick wasn’t enough of a group to help out. Kai looked over her shoulder towards Frederick. “I’ll go talk to Shelly, if ya wanna keep looking.”

Kai hopped over towards the girl, disregarding the conversation she was having with the woman to speak. “Hey Shelly, Frederick and I are headin’ off to help out the Exeggutor, you wanna help out?” Kai finally noticed the elderly woman to the side, unfamiliar to her. “Were you with us in the Drill? I don’t remember seeing you during the ride.” She looked over her clothes, interested in the designs that certainly made her look out-of-place with some of the Employees. “Where’dja get those fancy clothes, too?”

  4. “Hey hi, Mr. Exeggcutor!” Kai waved her hand towards the giant tree watching over the group of three, holding the Exeggcutes in her left arm. She ran over towards the tree, leaving behind the fainted eggs beside the Pokémon’s base. “Is there anything else you need?” Kai stood patiently by the tree, waiting for the others to bring back the other Exeggcute eggs.

  5. “Are they that heavy?” Kai kept a good hold on the eggs with her left arm, taking out her A-Comm to look up data on Exeggcutes. “Huh, sure enough.” Five-and-a-half whole pounds to hold onto. The girl put her A-Comm back into its sleeve, putting her hold on the eggs back into both arms. “Sort of comes naturally for me. Mama did want me to grow up big and strong.” Kai gave the man a smile to finish her statement, hoping to clear any doubts he had on her. It wasn’t important, anyway. “C’mon, Frederick, we need some help here!”

  6. Kai’s eyes stared straight towards Betani as she chastised the two Cadets. Her soft smile would make it seem as if she didn’t even realize the woman was giving a short lecture. Once she moved away, Kai moved towards the fainted Exeggcute, picking up two of the fallen eggs.

Kai put her best effort to keeping her balance, the large eggs rather heavy in her arms. “Thank you so much, mister.” She nodded her head towards the masked person, appreciative of the healing. “C’mon, help me and Frederick out. Two for each of us.”

Kai Action: Head back to Base with the Exeggcute

  7.

Kai let out a silent gasp as the Crabrawlers came towards them. Without leaving a moment, she swung her arm to take the Aether Ball from her belt. “Anté, give it your best!” She threw the Ball some distance between her and the Crabrawler coming in her direction, spinning on its axis before releasing the blue feline. As the creature took a hit, he was pushed backwards closer to Kai.

“Sorry fella, no time to relax.” Kai looked over to her side to find the first Crabrawler swiftly fainted by Betani’s Steenee. Kai would’ve given her a cheer if they hadn’t been ambushed. Something for her to do later. “Alright, let’s go.”

“Tackle and finish it off!” Kai pointed towards the last crab creature, having already positioned himself near the Exeguttor. Anté quickly following that direction with as much speed as his legs could give him. Before making contact, the creature jumped into the air as he braced himself for the collision with the sturdy creature.

  8.

“Zeta, go follow the main group.” Kai walked to the girl before pointing towards Emmanuel and Radovan. “They probably need you with them to find the caves.” She left the girl on her own, trusting the others to take care of her well enough.

"There were some simple pathways in the woods, probably made by Pokémon." Kai spoke to the small girl as Cathode climbed onto the giant rock snake. “Plus a Gabite apparently tore through the woods and left us with that pathway right there.” Kai pointed over to the clearing Frederick was making his way to.

“I’m with Frederick, though.” Kai jumped towards the boy, wanting to follow close behind him as backup. “The surprise is the most fun part of the journey.” Without a care for whatever danger she’d put herself in with that decision, she gave a twirl as she followed behind Frederick. Before getting to far, she looked back over her shoulder at Cathode. “Keep an eye on us, though. If something happens, that big Onix can probably do great against some scary Pokémon.”

Follow Frederick to the closest Point of Interest

  9. “Ah, it still looks as beautiful as it did yesterday!” Kai jumped off the ship’s ramp, her head bobbing to the sides as she looked over at the beautiful trees. Perhaps before they head back home, she could find some saplings she could bring back. Maybe Zeta had some back home that she could bring over.

“Anything else we should do before heading out?” She approached Betani, keeping her distance from Terry. She recognized the man from some letters to her mother, and for whatever reason Blake had told her to keep away from him. It's a shame, since he seemed quite intrigued by the Mechamon she made.

    Travel to Quest Point

  10.

“Hehe!” Kai patted the girl on her head as she looked her in the eye, wonderstruck by the rather mundane breakfast. “That’s just how food is, Zeta. You’ll get it someday.”

Kai continued eating her slice of eggs while she listened to the large man speak. “Thash should be e-she, shen.” Her speech was disturbed by the eggs she was chewing as she looked over her shoulder towards Mason. She swallowed the mush in her mouth before speaking again, with her words much easier to understand now. “I’ll go with Zeta back to the Nexus. I’m sure she’d feel best with me around if she gets scared.” Kai finished the last pieces of breakfast left on her side of the plate, waiting for Zeta to finish before she could jump off the chair and injure her. “You guys goin’ with me? Bet there’s some cool stuff still in there. Oh, I can’t wait!”

  11.

Kai let out a giggle as she heard Zeta’s attempt to describe the delicious smell coming from the kitchen. “C’mon, we got some new treats for you.” The girl put Zeta back on the floor, taking Zeta’s left hand in her right as she pulled the girl towards the kitchen table, grabbing onto a set of utensils for the two of them.

She took her seat before lifting the small girl onto her lap, cutting about a third into the wrap. “This is for me.” Kai took the lettuce off the smaller piece, not interested in the bland leaf wrapping the delicious breakfast. “And the rest is for you.” Kai stabbed into her eggs, taking a bite out of the breakfast. “Ah, amazing!” Her pleased face would tell anyone how much she enjoyed the homecooked food. “Zeta, don’t forget to eat your veggies, or you’re gonna be short forever.”

Meanwhile, Anté had walked up the stairs after waking up, walking towards the kitchen table by Kai. The girl slipped her lettuce down for him to nibble on until she found something else once she’s done.

  12. “Hoo!” Kai walked up the stairs leading from the basement, woken up by the sound of her A-Comm blaring away. She was already changed into a new set of clothes, albeit exactly the same as her previous attire, before heading towards the door. “Howdy, Shelly!” The blonde girl took a quicker skip forward as she greeted her fellow Cadet. “I’ll get the door, don’t mind me.” She jumped up, spinning sideways and landing just in front of the door before pulling it open without regard for checking who it was.

When she saw the familiar shade of green, she pulled faster. With that out of the way, she picked up the small girl and attempted to lift her into the air, a bright smile on her face. “Zeta, you’re back! Shelly, get over here, Zeta’s here!”

  13. Failing to find a television remote function in her A-Comm, Kai put the device back on her belt, leaning back into the sofa. She swung her head back onto it, looking towards the blank television set. Her eyes noticed the odd panel in the wall near the set. She got up from her chair, pushing the panel to reveal that it swung inward. “Huh, so that’s where it was.” She grabbed the rounded rectangular  remote, pressing the on switch before jumping back onto the couch with Emmanuel. “I hope there’s some nice cooking shows on now.”

  14.

“See ya, Rob!” Kai waved her hand goodbye as the two folks left, leaving behind the group of small children to divide a house together. “Tell your family I said howdy!”

Kai quickly followed behind Shelly, jumping into the first room towards whatever space she could find to spin a full revolution in. “Hwhoa, this place looks great!” The girl swiped her Aether Ball from her belt, balancing it on her head before it released Anté, holding onto her head as she moved about.

"I think we can handle that later." Kai jumped over the back of the sofa, landing herself on the cushions. "They left a note, so might as well do it soon." She snatched the A-Comm attached to her belt, hoping to find something for the television set. “Hope there’s a remote function on this thing.” The girl quickly looked through the applications on the device, hoping to find something to turn on the television. As she looked through it, she did at least say a note for the rest of the group to hear. "Is there a basement in here? Mama might send me large equipment, so I wouldn't mind sleeping underground."
