On Normal difficulty, do you fight alongside Melia in the double battle against Saki and Venam? I ask because I just beat them on Intense (fighting on my own), and they made a comment about Melia and I battling well together. Even though Melia was just sitting watching it lol.
I'm pretty sure you also battle them solo on normal mode-- I had to battle them solo as well, and I don't think I was on intense mode.

Not really sure why I'm stuck, but I've reached Angie and for some reason the gym battle will not start. Anyone know why?
I think you have to talk to her, or you have to stand in the middle of your rectangle part of the battlefield for it to activate. If that doesn't work, you should put your save in the save help topic so Jan can help you out with that later.

But uh, I think that that's a bug. You should check if it's a known bug listed on the main post or if it's been mentioned in the bug reporting topic, otherwise you should probably report it.

I guess that is true so then should we just take this one part at a time. so where do you guys want to start with this?
Shing and I are planning to play through the game a second time to find back all the items and take screenshots of where we found them, so we can list them all. If you can contribute to the list with a screenshot, send them to one of us.

Where are these lost children? and what's the reward in completing this quest? also where can I find coin case?
I don't know all of the specific locations of the lost children, but some of them sell good items in return for rescuing them and bringing them to the orphranage that was set up by the lady on route 4. You have to upgrade the place a few times first though, before the children can go there.
And you can find the coin case after having talked to the lady in the casino who flushes hers down the toilet. It ends up in the sewers somewhere.

Honestly, Eli and Sharon, that duo of Xen members, have a special place in my heart. What a bunch of dorks :V

- I used Carbink vs Marianette, mainly to combat the Toxic Orb Swellow. I liked it's stats so I left the EXP share on it and started using it in my main team. I usually use it first for Stealth Rock and try to knock down Narcissa's Gengar some with AncientPower.

Pangoro is my damage dealer. I use Circle Throw to cycle out the enemy's Pokemon and deal some damage with Stealth Rock. He's not very good against Gengar, so I try to save him for later.

Isn't a very good Pokemon for me. I just don't really have anything to replace Fearow at the moment. It was good for Keta and Keta 2.0 but now I feel like it is just outshined by the rest of my team. I have some Pokemon that could replace it but I'm not so sure.

I recently got the Helioptile from the Casino place. I put it in my party to train it up while I was facing the gym, since I already had accepted the fact that I would have to face Narcissa multiple times without winning, so I might as well benefit some from it.

I'd say try training Houndour, train it to a Houndoom (it evolves at level 24) and get it to learn a few dark moves. It learns Bite at level 16 and Beat Up at level 25, and Feint Attack at level 35 as a Houndoom (or 32 if you keep him as a Houndour until then). It might help you out. Herdier learns Crunch at level 24, plus it's immune to ghost type attacks, so you could consider training that one as well.
You could do that and it might work out well, but I haven't tried out using these pokémon myself, so please take everything I said with a grain of salt! I just hope it might work out in your favor :V

This was SUPER LONG AGO and really early in the beta stage-- even before a bunch of changes were made to Gearen, but I lost to the first trainer you had to battle. A bidoof took me down with super fang. Embarassing is an understatement :V

snag machine broken? am I missing something? have no idea what that is >_>
I am in that gold forest, just before fighting Ren. pokemon around lvl 33 but need froakie in my team. i've seen people get froakie earlier than this on youtube ;_;
During the events of Carotos mountain, Madelis breaks your snag machine so you can't catch her shadow pokémon. After that, it doesn't get fixed until later in the game, but it WILL get fixed. You'll just have to keep playing until then. Afterwards you'll be able to get froakie!

I have screenshot of it. Maybe half or something. I have been taking screenshot of every item i can find.
Should we use screenshots as extra information on finding them? So for example, give a description of where the item is at first, then put a screenshot in a spoiler if people still can't find it?

this sounds solid, one problem, do you guys remember every item you picked up. also we would have to check for hidden items as well. lets start by gathering all the tms we can find since you can't hide those within objects
i actually don't have the game on this laptop as of right now because the laptop i had the game on broke, but i could redownload it and start a new file to see where everything is :0

Maybe just make an entire Item guide with TMs as a part of it?
Sounds like a good plan. Maybe it could be a list with items sorted by route instead of just listing the items and the route next to it, to make it a more clear list?

what am i suppose to do now that ive beaten the witch angie? and what about this odd key? am i suppose to find it in her gym or something else?
I think the battle with angie was the end of that version, so you're free to roam about now. And the odd key is supposedly somewhere in Narcissa's gym, yet only a few people have actually found it and know the location. You'll have to ask them to pm you the answer if you want to know it.

well Ghost Keta is my biggest problem i cant get passed his Hawlucha at a;;
if you need help with keta, you should try to ask for help in the gym leader thread! do you have any pokemon in your team with a flying or psychic move though?

yep, your snag machine is broken then. you'll have to keep playing until you're at the point of the story where it gets fixed.
