  1. Flygon has A LOT more stats compared to Vibrava, it also learns Dragon Claw as soon as it evolves and since Flygon is more of a physical attacker it deals considerably more damage than Dragon Breath. There's an event in a cave in the beryl cemetery that requires rocksmash to access, if you go through the cave you will find a clearing where you can find Nuzleafs at night and Tropius in sunny days. Regarding Kiki: Try to predict the Hi Jump Kicks so you can switch into Drifloon so they miss and hurt themselfs. Luxray with intimidate and baby doll eyes is quite useful to stall and outlast a lot of pokemon. Swoobat is a nice pokemon for this gym and onwards, grinding one if it wasn't part of your team sucks though and it can still be one-shotted by a couple of Kiki's pokemon.
  2. That's mostly because of the theme the game runs with, a lot of dread and a polluted region, but i have found more than enough colorful shinies to make contrast in my runs.
  3. She is in the patch of grass north of the pokemon center, you have to defeat her first and then speak to her again after the battle.
  4. I cannot exactly relate, but i can share this piece: Since i was little, all the way until highschool, i aced through pretty much everything and was recognized for doing so. The thing is that all that recognition, which in occasions was made public and awkward, from teachers and older people was coupled with disdain and rejection from the kids i would have normally hung up with, which only got worse by things like me preffering to play with my imagination by myself instead of other kids most of the time. I still had friends and such, but was excluded and deemed "too good to belong" by the majority whenever i felt like branching out. Then in highschool i started to think that putting such effort into excelling was not worth it and i started to, well, put less effort... loosen up and do some pretty stupid things that, while i don't regret, weren't really sensical. I also met really abusive individuals in that time which started to develop some sort "protective behavior" in me, meaning that it is impossible for me not to react when personally witnessing uncalled acts of abuse on other people, and that got me in a lot of fights (some including serious threats to my well-being) as you would imagine. It became a lot better after that and there's a lot more to it than what i just mentioned, including all the interactions i've seen online and a bunch of stories along the road. But what i wanted to say is that i started with that fear of failure and realized that failures are necessary at some points with whatever consequences they bring, i also became aware how fortunate i have been in my life and that itself made me more understanding and patient with others. I am the youngest one in my family and have always been expected to do as well as my brothers or parents by most people, even when choosing very different paths. Now in any activity, like playing league or other competitive games to follow your example, i think of the pushing and insults from other people as cheering now. Some people will always try to screw with you, very seriously at times, out of envy or spite at some point but those always get what they deserve even if it takes a long time. I hope any of this is helpful for you, and anyone who reads, in some way.
  5. It's not possible, waterfall cannot be used in the world in this episode (even with terra's badge). The only way is through agate gate after completing the episode.
  6. Again, none of those benefits attributed to grinding would be really lost with such changes, and while i prefer the option A from the poll it isn't like i would stop playing should the status quo were to be changed. As to go more in depth with the points in your reasoning: - Dex entries: It already requires some amounts of breeding and while it is time intensive it's not the same kind of grind, even if it manages to feel even more tedious by being just a checklist waiting to be filled. it's one of those things people willing to do will do so regardless of anything bar artificial gating. - Rewarding hard work: You mentioned it being more akin to rewarding tedious work, some may feel like it and some may not, i personally consider it only tedious when alternatives aren't apparent or when it fails and makes the ordeal feel like a waste but neither happen often enough and even if you have stated your stance against it there is still a need to make the recently-grinded pokemon fit in a strategy (even if it steamrolls the challenge of choice) and that will give a sense of player accomplishment no matter what... how much depends if the player in question feels like it cheapens the experience, but still manages to appreciate the intended or more creative ways of overcoming the same challenge. - "Raising a baby": breeding actually feels quite impersonal for me, even distant as it is represented by npcs saying lines that most players look while rolling their eyes, as opposed to raising the pokemon from it's earliest stages and watching it's growth along the way. The breeding/offspring stage feels different than the original, this here is completely subjective but i would still disagree with your assesment. - Heart Scales: It may feel like "fixing a list of mistakes" to some when you are given a high lvl pokemon that may not have the desired moves and fishing for luvdiscs just does not seem like a compelling idea, could even come as inconvenient, for fixing something that could have been accomodated by the player itself on their pokemons. - Added playtime: I repeat myself here, some of that time i consider to be beneficial to build expectative for an upcoming event or to cool off from the last one since i consider that "having a blast every minute of the game" can make a lot of the situations or events lack a sense of scale or seem fleeting instead of memorable and some even find those moments relaxing, this is a situation that resembles things like MMORPGs and is impossible to balance since it depends on the individual and the amount of preparation they are willing to make. - Worth based of preference: You can only do so much after presenting the alternatives to the player while making sure they are (almost) ready to use... it is, again, preference since it could even seem forced on the player to use one of those hidden-but-exposed gems just to make it use something deemed inconventional and such pokemon could still not see much use or become the next best thing in a cycle that loops. In the worst case scenario it encourages replayability. - Bonding: Bonds happen in any number of situations as the examples have shown, i would argue that this can have more to do with the team the player has been collecting when picking up a new member as opposed to just the pokemon in question, it is still bound mostly by usefulness in unlikely sitiations and while grinding or catching up dictate if the pokemon can be used the player already had their intentions regarding the pokemon clear beforehand.
  7. 1) "the weather created a rainbow" at charlotte. 2) "if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying" after terra.
  8. None particularly, it will always exist as a concept and it is inevitable to do some catchup leveling at some point so most of those things will remain at some degree. As long as nothing too absurd or out of place comes across, which would be hard too do, unless it's on purpose obviously. I would only argue that the added play time spend grinding can be cathartic/relaxing occasionally since "having a blast every minute" of the game could sometimes make the experience lack build up (hype) and other nonsense, but that's totally in the way i perceive it and is not relevant enough to make a case for. Haha, a bit too dramatic, it still served a purpose.
  9. You can also raise it's happiness by battling, roaming with it in your party, or giving it specific foods. In the saloon next to the special pokeball store in Obsidia Ward there's a girl that can tell you how happy your pokemon is, pokemons are usually ready to evolve when she tells you that "your pokemon really seems to trust you".
  10. Just go to the Obsidia Slums after getting the Dull Key, you'll find a closed door to open with the key and in the new section you will encounter wild Panchams among other things.
  11. For dark types you can get Sandile/Krokorok in Tanzan Mountain or Drapion in the Wasteland. For fighting types you can go to the closed section of the Obsidia Slums if you have the Dull Key from the Underground Railnet and there you can find Pancham/Mankey/Makuhita and the Scraggy event, or if you are willing to spend a long time you can do the South Adventurine Woods event for Heracross.

I used a golem with sturdy and earthquake, something like that or prankster/priority status moves would be your best bet.
  13. Victoria tells you to go to the Coral Ward, there you will find Cain and Amaria and she will tell you to go to the Blacksteam factory in the Peridot Ward. As for recommendations, not much really, maybe pick up the Meditite from the event in Apophyll Academy (basically say yes to all the students that ask you to study with them) once you reach that.
  14. Since this game itself is quite a niche thing it is safe to assume that the majority of people who play will voice their opinions here or won't even know that something such as this is going on, while communities are subject to become echo-chambers we can see through the comments/opinions and poll results that that's not really the case. About opinions not being equally valid: that's a pedantic statement if i ever saw one. Sure, not everyone is as informed but people can express their feelings on how the game plays or how things relate to each other and even if they are wrong or uninformed (assuming they do not resort to conflict) about something it can give valuable perspective and help achieve a better compromise for everyone involved. OT: Glad the egg move issue was resolved. Regarding the first point i still consider the better thing to do is to slightly adjust the levels of some event pokemon and in the case of the piplup, while some people argue that gameplay>story/plot/realism (and it's really true), having believable and relatable events is one of the game's strongest points and options such as making the grind slighly friendlier would be more healthy overall.
  15. The huge white building in the middle of Lapis Ward is the orphanage/psychiatric hospital.
  16. It opens up when the pillars turn blue, it's in the same area as the pillars in a corner and it's quite small so it's easy to miss.
  17. I couldn't find a download for 14.6.2 either, but you can follow Ame's instructions from this thread http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=12911&hl=scripts.rxdata#entry285424 That file is the only thing that differs from 14.6 but it fixes all the issues with double battles.
  18. Have you tried speaking to a woman, the one that tells you about the day care couple acting weird, inside the building next to the onyx arcade? that did it for me the first time.
  19. Someone like Titania when our pokemons begin to hit the 90s. I would like to see us, the protagonists, getting our megas around the same time as our rivals Fern, Cain, Victoria.
  20. Scenario 1-A: the level of some event pokemon could be slightly adjusted to not be so far behind the expected level at some points of the game. This just applies to the early stages of the game since after a certain point it becomes really easy to level them (easy, but still tedious) and if you go out of your way to invest into such pokemon it's because it was already in your preference, a theme you're running with, or you want to use it as a crutch to progress. Scenario 2-A: Keeping it as it is would be my choice since it's the least flow/pace breaking route, i do not consider making obtaining pokemon from events a persistant annoyance worth it. While option C is decent the "awkwardness" of having to specify which events apply and which not makes it a tough sell, i personally consider that a majority of players would still not bother with emptying a slot or keeping an empty slot for whenever they find an event pokemon.
  21. 1) Over 20 years. 2) RPGs, with some experience in most (if not all) genres. 3) Yes. 4) Yes, Finest Hour being the first and Black Ops being the last i've played. 5) I'm not responsible for the actions of anybody else, but i wouldn't have an issue with someone below that age playing them. 6) No, mild occasional frustration would be the closest thing. 7) No. Parenting and context have far larger roles in such things, if anything games make players have stronger feelings of abhorence towards actual violence.
  22. There's an entrance to the upper section of that area near the beginning of the wasteland, there you can find the boulder and push it until it falls to the room in the screenshot.
